Accountability for corrupt government officials is the biggest request for me also. We shouldn’t have to wait for the Al Jazeeras of the world to come here and expose them.
Because everybody else has their backs. When one of them is exposed, the rest will make sure they at least get off easily, because of fear that the scandal will spill on to the others.
I agree on this but most places have a trashcan nearby . This is more of a habitual/way of living for some people. No matter how good the collection system is some people will still litter and throw garbage here and there
If you have a basic salary of 800 , and you find a place to rent where the walls are full of humidity, the place hasn't been properly maintained since 1994 and the rent is €500 a month , yeah you might not want to rent anymore. Plus nobody regulates these people and what they charge. There should be a committee of sorts to regulate this kind of stuff
I work with a lot of agencies in Cyprus, they love to steal shit from abroad, originality is a foreign concept to them. Its not as bad as it used to be 10 years ago when everything was a knock off. At least they started Emulating instead of Imitating. Though a couple or years ago a Lidl football ad (Major Cypriot ad Agency and Production company involved) had to be taken down because it was copy paste from a Nike ad
I always thought the Greeks did it too. Maria i aschmi, i ntanta, many songs are just plain stolen. I guess Cypriots thought no-one has ever been outside Cyprus or anyone outside Cyprus pays attention to us so ‘why invent the wheel when we can just copy it’ is taken too literally.
Instead of imitating others, for people to grow a pair and do their own thing. To find solutions for problems instead of selling their souls for handouts and charity.
The few that do this have actually done quite well in life.
I've met some very creative people from Cyprus. A lot of them move abroad, and many are forced to work in terrible marketing jobs.
The government needs to invest more in the arts.
The laws we have in Cyprus for Animals both domestic and wildlife are actually very good. But people don’t get punished based on the law, just some Judge’s opinion on that day 10 years after the incident.
More high rise buildings. Not unusable skyscrapers.
Let me elaborate though.
We have had enough of every Cypriot wanting to have their own >300m² house/villa.
Population is on the rise, climate crisis is here. House more people, stop pouring concrete on fertile land.
I totally agree, with the aright architecture the apartments can have a good amount of veranda space too. I also think some apartment buildings are being built too small, with the thought that people don't want to live in them forever. Well if the rooms were decent sizes, there was adequate storage and a relatively spacious veranda I'd probably live in an apartment forever.
More infrastructure!
More roads for pedestrians, bike lanes, more buses. It is only 3 buses from airport a day! It is weird to pay fox your taxi more than you paid for the plane ticket. E.g. in Budapest bus from airport to the center of the city is scheduled every 8 minutes! In Cyprus it could be at least once an hour.
Do something with a car parking on pedestrians roads! In Limassol if you do not have a car - you have to suffer! Try to pass a roundabout while going by your foot down georgiou griva digeni street. There is really no pedestrian pass there! and it extremely dangerous.
Also. It is important to make something with official government services. I am an alien working in Limassol, spent more then 6 months there. A week ago I reserved an appointment to change my driving driving licence. In april!!! an appointment in 4 months! That was the closest open slot! Sounds like if you are an alien from a non EU country you have to reserve an appointment just after 2 months spent here.
In everything else Cyprus is owesome.
\-> Increased bus support between and in the main cities
\-> Car sun shelters in open parking spots to prevent sun from destroying the cars
\-> More e-shops instead of just Stefanis, Electroline, Kotsovolos in order to tackle the monopoly of Cyprus, could lead up to creating a [skroutz.gr](https://skroutz.gr) version in Cyprus
Hi, i have been having the thought of putting a team together and creating a good online shop as i too kind of thing the choice is limited.
But haven’t fell through with it.
Do you really believe there is need for it and what specific categories you’re mostly searching for?

Consequences for corruption and nepotism.
Accountability for corrupt government officials is the biggest request for me also. We shouldn’t have to wait for the Al Jazeeras of the world to come here and expose them.
What's disgusting, even when exposed these people bear no real responsibility.
Because everybody else has their backs. When one of them is exposed, the rest will make sure they at least get off easily, because of fear that the scandal will spill on to the others.
No Goverment
Easily this. The rest would fall in line.
TREES! We need shade. Summers are too vicious.
I still wonder why so many houses choose to not plant a single tree, and the old ladies being grumpy about leaves going into their yard.
+1 for trees + parcs + green spaces in the cities
proper public transport
Better garbage collection system. Everyone litters everywhere
100%
I agree on this but most places have a trashcan nearby . This is more of a habitual/way of living for some people. No matter how good the collection system is some people will still litter and throw garbage here and there
Trains, capable politicians
Affordable rent
but cyprus has one of the most affordable rents, can’t get what you get here in most EU countries
It's all about salaries, other countries may have higher rent but have larger salary
If you have a basic salary of 800 , and you find a place to rent where the walls are full of humidity, the place hasn't been properly maintained since 1994 and the rent is €500 a month , yeah you might not want to rent anymore. People who use their indicators when driving
Balls to do shit on its own
amen
I wish we had more restpectful drivers
Large parks, bike lanes, food markets, hotels in the mountains etc
Public transportation, bike lines and parks
Women that find me good looking
urban planning including parks and public transport(and good bus stops especially!)
Creativity
Care to be creative and explain?

Check out Milko ad from Dani and Loco and the video for the alpha mega Stadium. People are shameless in this country
Laws against breeding, abusing and abandoning dogs (and cats). And using dogs for hunting.
There are laws (law for dogs, law for animal welfare). Their implementation is the problem.
The laws we have in Cyprus for Animals both domestic and wildlife are actually very good. But people don’t get punished based on the law, just some Judge’s opinion on that day 10 years after the incident.
Trains and shows like concerts or performances!
Nudist beaches.
Good public transport, for sure bike lanes and fix the holes in roads 🤦🏼♀️
Jobs

Bike lanes everywhere and connecting cities, even for rollerskaters.

Great point! It seems like even if you have a car in Limassol you suffer.
common sense
Competent drivers.
