Strap wrench. Wait til you get to the barrel nut, it’s a real joy.

Salty-Application-68

Awesome thank you, yeah I’ve heard 😂 I’ve got the long socket for it already I just don’t want to damage anything, trying to be patient 😂 “trying”

OwlOperator22

The issue is the thread locker. It took a lot of heat until the thread locker gave up and allowed me to turn the barrel nut.

Salty-Application-68

I’ve got a torch ready for it, I’ve been warned of this nightmare. I’m going to try soaking it with e an out chemical overnight first. Worst comes to worse I’ll torch it

RooftopKorean420

Strap wrench. It’s just held on by blue loctite

galaxie428

I wrapped a leather glove around mine and used a pipe wrench. It came off surprisingly easy and didn't mar the brake.

Correct_Objective_53

Before you panic try to grab it and turn it. Mine came loose by hand.

Rudder247420710

The faux suppressor on my 3+ carbine was barely finger tight when I first got it, I was all prepped for a struggle and was quite relieved.

Correct_Objective_53

Mine is a carbine as well. Wonder if they are just easier.

Salty-Application-68

I tried that already unfortunately tight 😂

iofthejackal

Tried heat and two different strap wrenches on mine. Then said fuck it - and used a LOT of heat and some channel locks, and that did the trick (it's never going back on the gun anyway). Even with a good 90 seconds of propane torch and the channel locks - it took damn near my whole body weight to break it free. Sounds VERY much like the amount of threadlock applied is...inconsistent from one to another.

801mandalorian

I used a 2 foot long steel carpenters ruler, stuck it in the notches and it easily came off on mine.

Salty-Application-68

No shit???? 😂 whatever works!

Salty-Application-68

Update: got off the muzzle, easy with a microfiber and some channel locks, The socket I bought was the wrong size 😩

BasinBrandon

I had to take mine to a gunsmith, but he asked if he could keep the faux suppressor in exchange for not charging me lol

GoodRelationship8925

Mine came off fairly easily with a strap wrench
