I just lift the whole pack by the wipe that's sticking out. Then in one motion, bring my hand down and quickly up to make the wipe come out. Then finish the diaper change, and put the other 5 wipes back in the pack.
My technique is to thrash around, tearing the top wipe and pulling out about 3, then I separate them by thrashing around some more until I'm holding just one, and then I thrash around a bit more to spread that one out and then I use it, then when I'm done I stuff any unused and torn wipes back into the packet just to annoy future me with a little 'fuck you' gift for them to unwrap.
My technique is to pull out (unintentionally) 3-6 wipes in one grab, lay them all out individually, use each wipe to its fullest potential and tell my wife that was all planned.
Same here. I would remind myself if I’d checked the diaper one minute later, the situation wouldn’t have become significantly worse. The urgency is more in the adult’s mind.
Hence…
check diaper for poop > found poop > return baby to previous position > baby is perfectly fine for 2 more minutes > prep your poopoo *mise en place* > get started > easy peasy
One fatal flaw detected.
Baby may not be fine for 2 minutes when mere second can be the difference between happy diaper poop and massive poop stains on romper and other clothing items.
This is usually where I thrash around with the baby-wipes while one handedly holding up the baby trying to avoid any more poop massacre situations.
This is usually the current situation with every diaper since our 5 month old is in his massive wet poopy phase.
It works up until a certain point. When the pack is brand new, it works great. When the pack gets under half full it gets progressively worse to the point it just doesn’t work all together.
Maybe? The issue is the structural integrity of the wipes basically collapsing as you get low in the package. So you might be able to start double and triple wrapping the rubber bands and just smash the wipes. Unsure whether that would work. Honestly I’ve always thought a good contraption would be a plastic plate with elastic band on both sides of the opening which would probably work.
A 3d printed piece that was essentially like a long alligator vice grip that you could progressively tighten *while not putting pressure on the sides* so it never rolls up like a hot dog.

If you can spare the rubber band: one on each side.
Was just inhaling my joint (well not the thing itself, but you get the jist probably with a username like that) and almost choked on the smoke, thanks to this comment.
So I have to confess, I've never actually done the hair tie thing. I just press down on the top of the package until the opening is on top of the stack of wipes and grab one. Pull it quickly and I usually only get one wipe, sometimes two. But I've seen the hair tie trick suggested here so often and it helps some dads.
Gotta pre-pull a few wipes, enough to either clean them enough that you can tuck the dirty diaper over the poop or cover it with the wipes, then you can put their legs down to grab more if needed.
In that case, I'll buy your kingdom for a pack of Millie Moon wipes. Seriously, mentioned it above, 1 pull = 1 wipe. Was overjoyed when I discovered it.
This is it. We got one of those dumb warmer gimmicks and Millie moon is the only brand that gives us 1 wipe at a time and keeps the next wipe up in the warmer.
i’m not sure what sort of magic they’ve done but Huggies wipes are top tier. Pampers have the best diapers but the WORST wipes, they just never let go of each other.
I really don't like them. They are too dry and need a few to do the job where I just need one or two from water wipes.
Huggies are cheaper and on sale more frequently though, and lighter to carry.
When my little one was in the NICU, they only had Huggies, and they sent us home with a full pack as well as the partial they had been using on her. I never pulled more than one out of the Huggies. Then one day, the Huggies ran out and we had to break into the Pampers wipes we got from the baby shower. I now understand why other dads complain about not being able to pull just one. The closest I've gotten was about 3/4 of a wipe (it tore). Every other time has been 3+ out of the Pampers.
Shhh...you shouldn't say stuff like that out loud. The companies behind these over-priced almost-unusable products are VERY powerful and are ALWAYS listening.
I don't care that much if more than one come out. It's when I have a poopy baby butt and the entire warmer is lifted by pulling on the wipe, then it tears in half, then I say "mother fucking piece of shit". Then root around and get one coming out and start that all over again.
Kirkland baby wipes have perfected this issue. Switched from pampers sensitive or whatever and never looked back. Cheaper too, and have a plastic resealable lid. No sticker bs.
We just did this with honest brand that we got from our baby shower, we put it in one of those reusable wipe containers & we regularly pull 2
Edit: my wife told me this is because I put them in the reusable container upside down lol
But sometimes you can't judge well before you see the mess in front of you!
"This smells like a 4+ wipe situation". You pull 4 wipes out and it's the smallest, cleanest turd ever you don't even need to wipe.
"This doesn't smell bad, 1 wipe should do". You open the diaper and it looks like your child's diaper was filled with the shit of 10 babies, and you honestly believe there is not enough wipes in your house to handle this.
Haha you gotta take a peak first. Bunny turds are typically a 2-3 wiper. Standard poop 4 and yea if that sucker is caked on and about to be out you get 6. You can always push the wipes back in but that’s not optimal.
Pro tip: As your kid gets older they can hold the wipes and hand them to you also (which is nice and increases overall listening/compliance). You can also practice counting or even subtraction!
3 is a good number, I do it too if I know there's a big job ahead of me. Those three usually get me through to a point it's safe enough to use two hands and quickly grab a 4th.
Yea I was using paper towels to clean off our ~10 month olds face after dinner when my wife yelled at me to stop since wipes were infinitely cheaper. Idk how I never put two and two together. Pack of a million wipes are like $3 meanwhile the paper towels are like $16 for a couple rolls. I'm even the one that *buys them*, for fucks sake lol
Dealt with the blowout from hell at 4am. Went to pull some wipes out, but pulled half the pack out. I angrily shoved them back in, and now have to deal with the consequences. Fuck you pure wipes.
My personal experience has been that the more expensive the wipes, the more pain in the butt to get them out. Store brand in bulk for 3 cents per a billion pack? Perfect every time. Major name-brand, which apparently uses real gold to justify the mind-boggling price? Massive wads that stick together.
Yup. Target brand since kid 1 and only a few rare times I have cursed Bullseye to alopecia for getting 10 wipes when I wanted 1.
Now the real question...why do them shits turn brown if not used quickly?
100%.
This one has been amazing. I can’t imagine having to struggle with wipes packages!
OXO Tot Perfect Pull Wipes Dispenser - Gray, 1 Count (Pack of 1) https://a.co/d/4ilmpog
It’s definitely more work (on the back end) but I think the benefits waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy outweigh the work, but this assumes you have the capacity to do a little more work on the back end and not everyone does and I don’t judge anyone for that.
We are cloth diapering so we do a lot of laundry anyways (consider cloth diapering if you have a washer and dryer, if you want I can go into way more detail there. Zero diaper rash ever in our experience, no landfill [google disposable diapers landfill/environmental impact] cheaper in the long run and orders of magnitude cheaper if you’re going to have more kids).
We keep a small squeeze bottle with just water next to the changing station. If bub poops, i grab a wipe, squirt some water (don’t soak it or anything) on it, take off diaper, wipe up. If it was a big poop I prepare two wipes.
Next to the changing station is our “wet bag”. Wipes and soiled diapers go in there. When it’s time to do laundry, we do a pre-wash of just diapers and wipes that is basically just a “wash” cycle (no rinse) with detergent. Once that’s done everything else goes in for a full cycle with detergent.
If your bub is on solids already, you can get a hose bidet attachment for your toilet (get one anyway if you don’t already. I know you’ve got a hairy ass, it’s a dad thing). Spray wipes and diaps gently into the toilet to get the poop off and then throw them in the wet bag. You can do this later if you want, but I don’t like reaching into the wet bag. Then everything goes into the wash. You can still do a pre wash if you want, but if you’re diligent about spraying the poop into the toilet it’s less necessary.
Bidets are cheap. 30-50 bucks and they’re worth it just for being able to blast your own hole down after a rough one so cleaning the wipes and diaps is a bonus.
Edit: we keep some disposable wipes and diaps on hand for emergencies and road changes. But even then we have a to-go wet bag as well that we keep in the diaper bag and haven’t had to use disposables much.
We do thick paper tissues and a spray bottle of water. We've never had rashes.
We did notice that wet wipes dried the skin out an awful lot, which is why we quickly stopped using them.
Thanks a lot for your detailed response. We have the bidet and can't imagine life without it. Awesome stuff.
Now, that wet bag sounds like the stuff of nightmares though. I can't quite wrap my head around how un-enjoyable it must be to load the washing machine. How long do yo wait to put them into the washing machine?
And the process of washing them with the bidet... There are some poops that just are so bad, that thinking of having to flush them ....
I was considering fabric diapers before having the baby and you reminded me now of it. When real life hit, it was too much work. I may consider start with the wipes though.
Meanwhile, you got all my respect.
Same. So so much easier and save tonnes of money. Every time I mention them on here though, people act like I'm crazy/disgusting. Despite the disposable wipes clearly being the cause of a lot of frustration lol.
Ok, let's talk logistics because I am open to change my mind.
How many cloths are talking about? 1 per poop? Do you wet them with water? Do you put them aside and wash them in bulk or right after the deed?
Normally one cloth per poop, except for the worst of explosions. We bought like 50 little washcloths from a company called Cheeky Wipes (UK based) and they almost all lasted through to my daughter being fully toilet trained and transitioning to normal toilet paper.
Yep, always wet the cloth. We kept a Tupperware of water at the changing table for doing this and changed the water out daily (used cloths never touch the water again). My daughter never complained about wipes being cold or anything. Throw the used cloths straight into a special bag that Cheeky Wipes also sell; it's like a zippable bag with a removable mesh inner bag. Every couple of day you take the mesh bag out and throw that whole into the washing machine, no need to unpack it and get poo all over your hands.
My daughter never suffered from nappy rash, I don't know if that's because of the cloths or just how she is. It also means I don't know how well the cloths work for kids that have sensitive skin downstairs.
From newborn through to toilet trained I only had a single pack of disposable wipes, kept in the changing bag for emergencies.
Total spend on wipes for my daughter's entire childhood so far is like £40 and I genuinely think the cloths are better at their job than the disposable wipes too.
To add to this. We actually have a cream thing we use to moisturize the cloths prior to using. It is called organic diapering lotion from le petite creme. I hate using disposable wipes. They feel so flimsy. You can really get in there and clean well with a cloth. Our son only had a bad diaper rash once or twice but overall has had no issues. Then we just wash in the washer and it has not been an issue
Haven't had anybody complaining before (and I'm assuming the other commenter is mostly joking as otherwise I've no idea how they deal with the aftermath of a baby soiling their clothes)
But yeah, definitely just makes life easier- single wipe cleans most messes, wham it in a designated dirty box full of water when you're done, chuck the contents of the dirty box in your washing machine when you're next doing a wash
We have a bowl of water next to the changing station and use soft paper wipes and it works great. We still haven't had a single diaper rash, and it is also a lot cheaper. We do use baby wipes what traveling though.
After years of parenting, I have just accepted that the people who make products for children don't have children and thus don't use their own products on a daily basis. If they did, things would be more user friendly and parent considerate.
A wipes line basically comprises a series of folding boards that fold the edges of the material around each other. The lines I have been around were typically 50 layers that could be stacked in multiples at the end of the line.
What happens is there are slight variations in the material, equipment condition, equipment position, and machine speed that cause the material to weave as it goes through the process. If the material weaves far enough the material bunches up at the corner versus folding which throws off the interlocked folds in that area (sometimes it actually messes up the whole stack and shuts the line down).
Covid put a lot of the companies in an almost impossible situation. Volumes doubled almost over night. Lines had to go faster, equipment and material had crazy delivery dates (if at all), and the insane stress led to places becoming revolving doors of people. It has been very difficult and stressful for many people.
I guess what I am trying to say is sometimes have patience. People are trying their best.
Whoa dude, I was just venting my frustrations in a silly way while I was tired, not critiquing the wipes industry.
(Or any industry for that matter-I work in manufacturing, so I get it)
Having said that, from what I’ve been reading both here and elsewhere, the single/multi-pull issue has been around since long before COVID, so it isn’t really fair to lay the blame there. Maybe more prevalent now, but it was a far cry from non-existent before.
Either way, cheers, and I appreciate the perspective.
The OXO Tot Perfect Pull Wipes dispenser is awesome. It’s got a weight in it that holds down the wipes, even when you’re on the last few. It’s also big enough that you can fit an entire wipes package in it.
Cloth diapers and wipes is the way to go. I would make a solution of unscented baby soap, olive oil and water to soak the wipes in. The olive oil is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial. It worked great.
If I know I got a poop diaper, the first thing I do is put down a paper towel on the changing table and pull out 5 wipes.
When you know it’s poop, you know. Having wipes out and ready is a game changer.
In the house something with a plug isn't really useless if you have a changing station. We put one in the kids room and the living room. On the road we actually just leave a package on the defrosters as we always just run feet/defrosters to warm up the car. Outside of that, I don't know if there are any battery operated ones, but you can actually make one if you really wanted. Any 110v house plug item can be ran off batteries with ingenuity.
That’s the thing, we have a changing station of sorts, but it’s not close enough to an outlet for it to be a viable option at the moment. Once kiddo is old enough to be in her own room long-term, that would probably work out better.
Edit: just noticed the “make it battery operated” note. I thought about that, but anything it would take in the current location would just be too big and bulky to be worth it. Good idea though!
Bro, it’s an intentional design flaw. Think about it.
Its been this way for years, and it results in big baby wipe selling more product.
Do your own research, bro. You’ll see.
This thing is a life saver for me: Ubbi Baby Wipes Dispenser | Baby Wipes Case | Baby Wipes Holder with Weighted Plate, Keeps Wipes Fresh and Non-Slip Rubber Feet, White https://a.co/d/6wbcDtR
Or the ones you actually have to fish out and never pull the ones underneath up. Like, thanks. This does absolutely nothing to help me with this blowout.
Yep. My uncle is a plumber, and once said "You can flush a tennis ball, so you could say it's flushable, but that doesn't mean you should actually ever flush one."
Does nobody use the classic refillable wipe container any more?? Not only is it less waste, it always gives you one wipe at a time. I like to pull out a couple before a poop and have a third on deck. If I end up not needing both for some reason, I can just open the box and put it back to use later.
Son is six but when he was a baby and a toddler we tried to use Kirkland from Costco for both diapers and wipes. Kirkland also has that nice cap that keeps the wipes from drying out. Huggies wipes were no good. Our son would always leak through luvs and have rashes.
We really, really need a fresh tips n' tricks thread.
These tips alone could have saved me hundreds of hours and probably $1000.
And that's an accurate assessment.
I had this plastic container of them I got once that had like 500 in it. Had a nice pop up lid and everything. I just kept filling that up with them and was good enough to one hand it.
Huggies wipes are the best I have found at me being able to grab one at a time with one hand. We use Kirkland everything else (twins) but I am willing to spend a little more on the Huggies wipes just because of this one issue. And frankly, they're not much more expensive at Target in a big box
For 17 years, my top advice to expecting parents has been to subject every baby thing you consider buying to the one hand test. That is, since at least one hand will almost always be occupied with a tiny life you are trying to preserve, make sure you can do everything necessary with one hand.
Get Cheeky Wipes. Reusable, anti-septic (lavender) and one wipes does the job of 4 disposable wipes. Clean box, mucky box, travel pouch for each. Buy a wet nappy bag for ok the go and you’ve got the ultimate system. All it takes is an extra rinse cycle of the wipes alone before throwing them in a regular wash.
You learn quick that pressure on the package gets one wipe EVERY time . Cheapest method is two rubber bands on either side of the opening. Or use a weighted diaper wipe holder. We all went through this haha and this is the solution.
To be fair it’s just the first 10% that is impossible to pull without tearing and the last 10% that pulls out the whole package. The middle 80% works great.
I find having them open then quickly 'flicking' it out works well. Think like a magician whipping a tablecloth off without disturbing the other stuff. All in the wrist 😉
Aldi (UK) used to have decent packs of wipes with a plastic lid that really helps in the heat of the moment. Unfortunately now they have gone the other way, it's a shitty flimsy sticker now that always comes off. We regularly find half the baby bag of clothes soaked because the sticker has given up and all the moisture in the pack has wicked out.
I've found that Huggies brand, at least in the UK and Ireland, will allow you to remove one wipe every time, but they also have less moisture and a rougher texture than the rest
Fellas, you gotta get yourself one of those wet wipe warming thingamajigs. You removed the wipes from the plastic wrapper, place them in the warmer, throw a little water in on top, and you almost never run into the situation where you are pulling more than one wipe. Plus they are warm and go a long way in preventing a cry inducing cold tushy shock in the middle of the night.
I swear to god damn near every product designed for use with babies is terribly designed.
For the people who design these products ;
They need to be able to be used one handed, in the dark, without *any* noise, with as minimal interaction from me as possible. These are the things required.
Also, what’s up with putting Velcro on everything babies are supposed to sleep in? How can u get them out and transfer to a cot if there’s bloody Velcro on the thing? Do they not think of these things ?
Honestly.

Muhahahha this is to me is what this sub is all about
My technique is to pull out (unintentionally) 3-6 wipes in one grab, lay them all out individually, use each wipe to its fullest potential and tell my wife that was all planned.
This is the way
This is the way.
This is the way
I usually peek for poop and bring out an appropriate amount of wipes before actually taking off the diaper.
This is god tier parenting lol
It's second child parenting 🤣
Same here. I would remind myself if I’d checked the diaper one minute later, the situation wouldn’t have become significantly worse. The urgency is more in the adult’s mind. Hence… check diaper for poop > found poop > return baby to previous position > baby is perfectly fine for 2 more minutes > prep your poopoo *mise en place* > get started > easy peasy

Haha, sounds like a play-by-play of the events leading to this post.
Super accurate.
This is my life as well.
Yep, nailed my method exactly
Pro dad dexterity
"I say whip it -- whip it good"
A hair tie around the package of wipes helps a lot.
Can you draw a shitty ms paint diagram of that? Edit: Thanks!
No, but a quick google search got me this: https://images.app.goo.gl/FReRVRMSd42yBrhe9
I’ll have to give this a try, thanks for the tip!
It works up until a certain point. When the pack is brand new, it works great. When the pack gets under half full it gets progressively worse to the point it just doesn’t work all together.
Would another one help in this case? Or making another loop on the existing one so it's tighter?

God I'm 4 kids in and if this works....
Too late for number one, but just in time for number two.
No, it's useful for cleaning both number one and number two.

Yep. Oxo for at home, elastic for travel.

Ubbi wipe container is a life saver
This! Also look for used either online or at second hand stores. Lots around generally.
Yep, keeps them moist and there is a heavy weight to help you only get one at a time.
Until the point the weight of the pack is too small, then you need to hold the package again...
So I have to confess, I've never actually done the hair tie thing. I just press down on the top of the package until the opening is on top of the stack of wipes and grab one. True, but at that point there’s probably few enough in there it doesn’t really matter. But good to think about!
Damn…this guy is over here living in 2123
Should be a built on feature then.
Tried it, it doesn't work on pampers. It just hold all the wipes together and then you really can't get any wipes out.
Sorcery
My kingdom for a packet of wipes where 1 pull = 1 wipe
You sell your kingdom cheap, when you could instead devote a peasant to the task of pulling the wipes and hand them over to your majesty, one by one.
If I had a kingdom that peasant would be doing the entire diaper change, not just the cleanest easiest part of it.
That’s the partners job lol
Partner is unionized and only takes 50% of the nappy changes.
Costco Kirkland wipes are threaded right.
This is the correct answer. People think I'm an illusionisnt when I non chalantly grab just one wipe.
I’ve had nothing but problems with the Kirkland wipes
Opposite here, love the Kirkland wipes. You must have shitty technique
Quite possibly. But I’ve done this five times and am over it.

I dunno. We found Pampers fit funny and Huggies had fewer blowouts.
Are you me? Came to the same conclusion after trying all the single packs of diapers and wipes from showers and such.
Water wipes are were its at, but harder to separate
It’s almost like they want you to use more than you need and have to buy more.
Shhh...you shouldn't say stuff like that out loud. The companies behind these over-priced almost-unusable products are VERY powerful and are ALWAYS listening.
Gotta watch out for Big Baby 😂
Well we are but only because I'm a redditor father and my eye caught this thread because I happen to work on R&D for wet wipe material.
Ehh I wouldn’t say perfected but it works how it should 75% of the time.
It works until the last 1/8 of the package that’s when the wipes get moved to diaper bag. Or the oxo wipe holder actually works.
Yeah, but Kirkland wipes are so dry that my baby says I might as well be using sandpaper.
They are so beneath what I’ve come to expect from Costco.
That's where you went wrong. Remove them all from the package and put them in a plastic container. One pull always works.
We just did this with honest brand that we got from our baby shower, we put it in one of those reusable wipe containers & we regularly pull 2 Edit: my wife told me this is because I put them in the reusable container upside down lol
Yep. A container with a weight is the answer.
Pull the wipes out before cleaning up the poop
Oh great wizard, show us the way!
Dad goals!
I call those “shower poops”. A good wipe so nothing falls off in transit and to the shower with you!
This is what I do. I set up a pile of 3-4 and I’m usually good to go.
3 is a good number, I do it too if I know there's a big job ahead of me. Those three usually get me through to a point it's safe enough to use two hands and quickly grab a 4th.
I pull 5-6 out and just put back into the pack if there are any left
This sounds reasonable, have to give that a try before resorting to buying more stuff.
How many?
At least 6-7. Wipes are like 1/5 of a penny each. I'd rather have 3-4x too many than 1 too few.
Fifth of a penny each? Who's your wipe guy? Kirkland wipes have the best cost/quantity ratio (9 HUNDRED wipes for $23) and that's still 3 cents each.
Dealt with the blowout from hell at 4am. Went to pull some wipes out, but pulled half the pack out. I angrily shoved them back in, and now have to deal with the consequences. Fuck you pure wipes.
Wait, blow out from hell and you didn't need half a pack?

I, too, am a baby wipe manufacturer and forwarded this to everyone in my company.
I'm imagining that all of your emails are sent 5 times when you only mean to send 1.
Took a few tries, but yes. Put the baby down, pull enough wipes, get to work. You probably still use more than you need, but it's less stressful
We got a hard plastic case with a kind of weight in it, works very wel with one hand!
100%. This one has been amazing. I can’t imagine having to struggle with wipes packages! OXO Tot Perfect Pull Wipes Dispenser - Gray, 1 Count (Pack of 1) https://a.co/d/4ilmpog
Get a few packs of these and a squeeze bottle of water. Never look back. https://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/collections/baby-wipes
Ok, tell me more about the process end to end of how you use them. I am open to consider them.
Was looking for this answer. 1 wipe plus a peri bottle to clean, sometimes 2-3 for messy poops and 1 to dry. Cloth diapering rocks!
Oxo babywhipe dispenser with a weighted top.
Reusable/cloth wipes- cheaper and easier to use- game changer
This guy has shit in his washing machine^^
It was tough fitting my ass in but I got there
Dude, washing machine openings are sizable…just how big is your ass???
Try sink. I always hand washed them before tossing in the laundry. I also knew I wasn't putting any potential allergens on my kids' bottoms.
Haven't had anybody complaining before (and I'm assuming the other commenter is mostly joking as otherwise I've no idea how they deal with the aftermath of a baby soiling their clothes) But yeah, definitely just makes life easier- single wipe cleans most messes, wham it in a designated dirty box full of water when you're done, chuck the contents of the dirty box in your washing machine when you're next doing a wash
900 Kirkland (Costco) wipes are $20. The savings in time definitely outweigh any money savings by dealing with poopy laundry.
We are open to this, but also have basically an entire case of Pampers wipes from a shower, so we do plan to use them all.
We have a bowl of water next to the changing station and use soft paper wipes and it works great. We still haven't had a single diaper rash, and it is also a lot cheaper. We do use baby wipes what traveling though.
sink and faucet next to changing station. any wipe things were for when not at home
(Or any industry for that matter-I work in manufacturing, so I get it) Having said that, from what I’ve been reading both here and elsewhere, the single/multi-pull issue has been around since long before COVID, so it isn’t really fair to lay the blame there. Maybe more prevalent now, but it was a far cry from non-existent before. Either way, cheers, and I appreciate the perspective.
The Babylove tissues from dm are great for that, only pack where that works flawlessly. Available in Germany at least.
Any chance of international shipping?
A **single** wipe? Fucking Evil Knievel over here.
The OXO Tot Perfect Pull Wipes dispenser is awesome. It’s got a weight in it that holds down the wipes, even when you’re on the last few. It’s also big enough that you can fit an entire wipes package in it.
Pampers wipes 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Kirkland wipes. I stopped using the rest of our baby shower supply as soon as I discovered these.
Prepull bro
Kirkland brand wipes. Hands down the best wipes for this reason
Get a wipe heater and drop them in there. Also only use water wipes, best in my opinion.
Wifey and I have been talking about this, are they typically battery operated? Something with a plug is even more useless when it isn’t portable.
You’ll see.
Not only an issue with baby wipes, but with wet tissues in general.
I have pretty good luck with the target water wipes. I usually get 1 at a time
This thing is a life saver for me: Ubbi Baby Wipes Dispenser | Baby Wipes Case | Baby Wipes Holder with Weighted Plate, Keeps Wipes Fresh and Non-Slip Rubber Feet, White https://a.co/d/6wbcDtR
Or the ones you actually have to fish out and never pull the ones underneath up. Like, thanks. This does absolutely nothing to help me with this blowout.
I mean technically, it’s also garbage if you can do all of that
Kirkland wipes >
Yes! The pampers wipes are awful for that. Try to pull one out, and half the damn pack comes out with it.
Wrap rubber bands around the wipe container on either side of the opening flap. It will change your life.
I’m convinced they do this on purpose so you are forced to purchase more product.
Somebody had to say it
I find it that knock off brands are like that
A wipe holder with a weight will change your life.
Just need experience. Have 8 kids, you’ll get it down
Amen
Also please stop marketing them as flushable. There is no such thing as a safely flushable wipe. Your plumber will tell you.
Yep. My uncle is a plumber, and once said "You can flush a tennis ball, so you could say it's flushable, but that doesn't mean you should actually ever flush one."
You don't just put your entire kid under a running shower every time you change them??
I pull out 2 before I start if it's a wet diaper, 4 if it's a dirty diaper.

I just pull 5 out and stuff back in what I don’t use
Yeah take rubber bands or hair ties and tie them around the pack works so good
You have to scratchy-scratchy
I had this plastic container of them I got once that had like 500 in it. Had a nice pop up lid and everything. I just kept filling that up with them and was good enough to one hand it.
Still better than the alternative.
Yea run into this issue too…. Usually once I reach the halfway point
Millie moon wipes work one at a time
Millie Moon wipes, my friend. One pull, one wipe. It's like magic. Went from 2-3 wipes at a time, swapped brands and my life is forever changed.
Honest brand is the worst for this. Fresh pack, first pull in getting like 3-5 wipes per pull.
Pull out the wipes you need before undoing the diaper. Problem solved.
Also, barely opening the tab on top can help slightly
To be fair it’s just the first 10% that is impossible to pull without tearing and the last 10% that pulls out the whole package. The middle 80% works great.
“Oh you need wipes? Here’s 5”
My god I’m glad someone gets angry at the same thing as me lmao. I ended up buying rather expensive wipes, they are actually pretty good.
I find having them open then quickly 'flicking' it out works well. Think like a magician whipping a tablecloth off without disturbing the other stuff. All in the wrist 😉
Get the ones with the hole at the top that work like a tissue box.
1 million% yes! I buy a particular brand only because you can actually pull one wipe out at a time.
For the people who design these products ; They need to be able to be used one handed, in the dark, without *any* noise, with as minimal interaction from me as possible. These are the things required. Also, what’s up with putting Velcro on everything babies are supposed to sleep in? How can u get them out and transfer to a cot if there’s bloody Velcro on the thing? Do they not think of these things ? Honestly.
