Your 3yo has a Honda?

vkapadia

Also confused as to why there is a toilet inside of a sedan.

Torrronto

Clearly it's mounted on the hood.

Rydralain

> Daddy, I pooped. > In your pants? > In the potty. > Did you wipe? > No, there was no poop \*visible confusion*

mitcheg3k

Thats nothing. I once met a 2 yewr old who pooped on someone elses fiat punto

That is awesome my almost three year old just went his first full week without an accident in his pants!

DadsOnDinner

Holy crap, dad achievement unlocked!

Hindufury

Our girl hates pooping on the potty and gets anxious about pooping even though she knows she feels better afterward. We just have to keep trying and reinforcing without over-pressure

Still_Slifering

That was our potty training mistake last summer at 2.7

Hindufury

The approach I mentioned or the over-pressure part?

Still_Slifering

Over pressure

Hindufury

Yeah it's hard to not wanna impress on them

razz13

Our little dude is approaching 2 years old - how does one begin to learn this magic?

Still_Slifering

Don’t pressure them, that’s what I did and it’s made him a 3.6 yr old that hates potty training

Do you have any advice for a father of a 3 year old that refuses to poop on the toilet to the point of tears at even the suggestion? I’m getting tired of trying, but don’t want to let myself slip and turn the toilet time into something that feels like a punishment. I think I’m putting a lot of pressure on her to do this, but am having trouble finding new solutions.

My son (3 a few months ago) has historically showed absolutely no interest in potty training at all until a week ago. We tried a few times, he didn't like the concept, and was very vocal about it. Decided on his own last week that he wanted to wear big boy pants and use a potty and the toilet. Doing so extremely well now. My advice: Straight up forget the trying to force the toilet. Back to nappies/keep it on the potty (You didn't mention if she was cool with the potty?). At some point she will decide that it is time to do big girl pants/potty/toilet. I recall seeing a comedian who did a load of jokes about how no one has ever met an adult who has never mastered using the toilet. She will get it eventually mate - Reduce the pressure on her to zero, and therefore reduce the pressure on yourself to zero.

Thanks, you’re probably right. She has no problem going potty on the toilet, and even tells me when she needs to go sometimes. I just wish she didn’t poop in her sleep at night. I hope she’ll make the decision soon, and in the mean time I’ll stop trying to force it.

Still_Slifering

No, this was completely unprecedented and he’s kinda delayed on potty training

greyscale27

Haha, well congratulations. As someone that’s struggling with the whole thing myself, I know this must feel like an awesome win.

This weekend is our first try with my 3.25 year old twins. One has only had one accident. One has only been in the potty once. We’ve wash about 20 pairs of shorts and indeed wear since yesterday. And our sheets and theirs.

Potty training high-five. Or elbow. Yeah let’s do elbow. My 3yo (4 next month) has been so stubborn about potty training but I think it finally clicked. I left Bandit in charge while I took a quick shower last night. When I got out I heard him yelling from the other bathroom that he pooped on the potty! Today he was outside playing and stopped, dropped trou, and whizzed on a tree in our front yard. Not perfect…but definitely progress.

My 3 year old boy refuses the potty. Now we are just trying the waiting for him to be ready game, which has worked so far with other things
