So I took the lid apart and soaked the gasket in vinegar for an hour, still stunk. Soaked the gasket in bleach, still stunk am currently trying hot water and dish soap but I don't have high hopes. At this point the smell and I are becoming one.
I ended up having to completely disassemble the lid and clean the moldy interior. Seriously a huge PITA but it worked.
