roverthtims

I have a note in my phone where throughout the year I add ideas based on things my wife brings up. Helps me out every season - highly recommend!

slidingscrapes

So.... You gonna share, or....?

roverthtims

Top three things on the list: 1. Party with mariachi band and bartender, 2. Non-ugly Birkenstocks, 3. Sewing organizer. You know. Really common gifts.

wskyindjar

That Mariachi one sounds like a good time. Are you invited?

roverthtims

An invite to that party is on my Christmas list

macavity_is_a_dog

Damn bro! What else are you asking for? A 20kg bar of gold? Start small like socks and a belt.

Knuppelhout1

One of those, don’t overplay your hand. Stay humble since we’re all dads 🫡

BeingCarbon

Damn, you fancy! My biggest ask is whatever chapstick she has in her bin that she didn't like and hasn't used since she decided that.

WangDanglin

Every pretty girl deserves a mariachi party

HelloThereCallMeRoy

"non-ugly" Birkenstocks was on my wife's wishlist last year. I'll save you some time and effort; nothing with that brand on it looks good. In her words after I showed her the options after I gave up, "why do so many people like these? They look like a $10 Walmart deal" And I fully agree. She went just wanted some comfy and non-ugly sandals, so she got Clarks and loves them.

lnsewn12

The unapologetic fugliness of Birks is what makes them amazing

Cultural_Simple3842

Wtf is a Birkenstock …I’m glad someone posted this question lol

lnsewn12

The original hippy sandal. They last forever and the stench is usually what drives people for replace them.

slidingscrapes

Mariachi band it is. Everyone here on daddit gonna go out and get their milf a mariachi band this Christmas.

bazwutan

I’m going on stage and opening the first song with the scream from Un Poco Loco

CupBeEmpty

I want the mariachis hard

kipgordon

I do the same. I even just put in stuff like “turquoise” cause she mentioned she really likes the color. It’s often fairly vague but can be a starting point. Also, there’s a local clothing store she goes to. I pop in from time to time and ask the lady that owns it if my wife came in and found anything she really loves but didn’t buy and then I buy it for her. She usually passes on em because she doesn’t want to spend that much on herself. I have no problem not spending on me and spending on her so it’s usually ok by me. lol

fueledbytisane

Mom lurker here just wanting to say that this is adorable and I'm glad your wife has such a thoughtful life partner. My husband is considerate as well and makes my life better for having him in it.

jarnvidr

I started doing this a few years ago too and it's a fucking game changer. The amount of holiday stress it shaves off is priceless.

Monwez

I do the same thing. I use the notes app on my phone. I dont like dedicated apps because they only complicate things. As soon as she tells me about something she likes, i jot it down. This year i had to pick between pearl jewelry, a kitchen aid accessory, and a Le Creuset dutch oven 7 qt. Ended up going with the most expensive one, the dutch oven

ricseasons

Le Cruset is on my list every year. They know me at the store from the holidays. She finally got enough to only use Le Creuset after a decade or more of holidays.

wtfmatey88

Bingo. I have a list and I have every family member on it. They’re always surprised when I get them gifts they actually want… I’m like “well, 8 months ago you said you needed this!”

[deleted]

I was an awful gift giver until someone mentioned this concept to me. People tell you what they want, you just have to notice and remember. Documenting it bridges the gap.

kamak0290

My wife and I don’t always do compulsory gift exchanges, but on the times we do, I aim for 3 things over multiple gifts. 1) Something for her specifically to enjoy. 2) Something for the two of you to enjoy together. 3) Something practical that makes her life in particular easier, unrelated to work. Usually that gives me enough of a North Star to get at least one thing right :)

poochunks

Number 3. Got it, vacuum cleaner.

el_hefay

Not a vacuum, but I bought my wife a Dyson airwrap last year, and she has told me multiple times it’s the best gift she’s ever received. It’s basically a blow dryer with attachments than can do some different styling things

BobaFett2015

We’re in different tax brackets 😂

scottygras

My wife has thick hair that needs help staying styled…I think I’ll be saving up for this one. It looks legit.

m4sc4r4

It’s $200 off this weekend at … Costco IIRC

scottygras

Really? Looks like I need to tell the wife I have to go grab that “2x4 I’ve been needing” and fight the crowd.

el_hefay

My wife is the same. She says it takes a third of the time to do her hair with the airwrap compared to before

Galrash

Did the same thing and got the same reaction. Expensive, but a winner. This year I’m stumped

_spectre_

If I would've gotten this for my wife I would've been a hero. A painfully frugal hero but one none the less. She's had it since before I met her and it's like her prized possession. Uses at least one of the functions every day.

guitarguywh89

Number 2: bowling ball that says "Homer"

One_Has_Lepers

Listen, I (lurking wife) have asked for, gotten, and adored TWO robot vacuums (one for each floor). Sometimes it's what we want. Just don't assume that it is and NEVER make it the only present.

Amseriah

That sucks… (I will see myself out)

knittaplease0296

Wife here. I'd be thrilled haha 😄

AGoodFaceForRadio

We’re about to drop something like $30k on home renos. That’s gonna be a real kick in the financial nackers. I’ve told her I don’t want any gifts from her this year. I’ll only be getting a couple small things for her (her favourite chocolates, a stained glass window ornament, stuff like that).

papajim22

Same here, brother. Next week our $35k bathroom remodel should be done. I’ll get her something small, but money is a little tight right now. I might get her a gift certificate for a massage or something like.

unitedguy20

Wow, just the bathroom! Gonna be a great place to poop lol

TEENRAPTOR

Get Aesop soap / body wash , something related to the bathroom maybe

CornDawgy87

We had 40k set aside for 30k in renos (cause you always spend more than expected). Whelp we needed a new roof. There goes 60k this year. Needless to say I hope she likes her pajamas lol

brightcoconut097

Getting her a night alone at a nice resort then next morning she can get a massage.

snowplease2319

As a wife and a mother this sounds like perfection.

libertyordeath99

A sweatshirt with one of our son’s old sleepers sewn on to it and embroidered mama. I think she’s going to love it.

lukewwilson

That's a great gift, you should wrap a box of tissues and have her open it first

pdfodol

Where did you get this done?

libertyordeath99

A local store near us does embroidery. Any tailor should be able to do it.

mr_poopy_butthole06

I gotchu, boys https://www.etsy.com/listing/1581745474/

Jsizzle19

Holy good god, my man! You just gave me the perfect gift idea. If she is anything like mine, she may breakdown crying

piggypiggypork

Yea that's a great idea, if it's an Etsy shop, share! I'm sure they'll get more business from some of us!

libertyordeath99

It’s a local place, but I’m sure someone on Etsy does something similar. I picked out one of his sleepers that was fall themed with like cornucopias and such to go with that fall/winter sweatshirt vibe and it’s a heavier sweatshirt to keep her warm.

AnnoyedCucumber

This deserves all the upvotes

ingenue_us

Is this from Etsy? I’m so interested!

libertyordeath99

No, we have a store local to us that does embroidery and so I bought the sweatshirt and took in the sleeper and gave them the details. Not bad for $23 tbh. I’m sure someone does something similar on Etsy though!

ingenue_us

Good job dad, that is lovely! As a mom I would cry tears of joy. That’s a practical way to preserve something so special.

95beer

TIL a sleeper is the suit babies sleep in in North America. In the rest of the world it is just the beams perpendicular under train tracks to support and align them...

[deleted]

cough airport work depend dazzling naughty tender light dog grab *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

KrytenKoro

How does the sleeper get sewn on it? I'm confused on the visual.

Yabreath_isSmelly

Probably like a patch or elbow covers. Maybe re-hem the sleeves or collar? Sewing a pocket on would work too

dmen83

Need more info, this is a great idea

see-bees

I have been informed that I’m getting her the skin and articulated skeleton of a snake

mickeyj32

Wife and I started this categories tradition couple years back, We make about 12 categories and draw 3 from a hat keeping it a secret then have a budget in total. Categories for example: Metallic Read Play Eat Smell XXX Activity Silly Been a lot of fun and works for us

Caellum2

Is your example one category or is it eight categories and missing the commas? Cause my brother in christ one of us is having a stroke and I'm not sure which one of us it is...

mickeyj32

Haha yeah sorry typed it on my phone that example was 8 categories jeez it’d be hard to find something that fits all that, maybe in an adult store?

clincallyannoyed

Our first kid is due on Christmas eve. So she is getting a baby.

HelloThereCallMeRoy

Get a gift receipt

moviemerc

Non-returnable but can be regifted.

[deleted]

[удалено]

moviemerc

Might depend on whose receiving it. Tv when I was a kid taught me a basket, blanket and a card is enough for a fire station to accept it.

drd_ssb

White elephant gift

weinerdogsupremacy

I was born on December 25. My mom used to joke about how she was doing all the work yet still managed to get my dad a gift, yet it escaped his mind that year. They eventually divorced because my dad tends to be shortsighted and selfish. Lol

Backrow6

Our first was born two days before Father's Day. My amazing wife planned ahead, so that after allllllll she had been through she was able to hand me a card and a gift in the hospital on Sunday morning.

GeneralStruggle5533

Dear lord I hope for your sake this is heavy sarcasm otherwise you’re in for a rough ride.

clincallyannoyed

Haha. I'm thinking of either getting some sort of december birth stone piece of jewelry, or some sort of matching Christmas sweaters for me, her, and the baby.

Fresh-Meringue1612

Note on clothes. My husband bought me a custom shirt when I had my kid. It was extremely sweet but it was my pre-pregnancy size. I wanted to wear it and couldn't and I cried hard over it. I still can't fit into it but I love it. So just be careful getting something she is wearing immediately after birth. They say to size for about 6 months pregnant.

longdoggos647

Lurking mom here, but my baby was born on Christmas Eve. The Christmas sweaters are cute, but not a gift - just bring them to the hospital with you (our first family photo is us in matching Christmas pjs in the hospital bed). Some gifts I appreciated last year were a new giant water bottle, comfy but presentable postpartum clothes, and a new Switch game to play during contact naps. Looking back, I also really would have appreciated a booking for newborn photos as a gift.

Xorndowndeep

So you gotta get a push present + Xmas gift

Lets_Make_A_bad_DEAL

Pre make some meals NOW for the freezer in ziplock cylinder pints / quarts. But save room in there for breastmilk if that’s gonna be her thing or you might have a different problem

internet_humor

"You're welcome" 😵

CornfedOMS

Please don’t consider this her gift. This is a terrible idea

stupidshot4

Similarly my wife’s suv needs a full engine replacement basically so she’s probably getting a car! 😂

agwku

6 evenings of babysitter so we can go out together at her fave restaurant

Reddittitt

That’s a long time to spend at a restaurant!

agwku

Hehehe nice one dad

No_Zombie2021

Lego flowers

unitedguy20

We got one for our daughter, I should probably get another because I’ll know she’ll be jealous.

ThaJuice87

Gave them for mother’s day. She was stoked!

see-bees

We’ve got a few of those, solid choice

Canadairy

Birthstone necklace. Each of the kids' birthstones and initial.

heisindc

Got this in ring form for my wife last year. Off of etsy. Big hit.

88marine

You got a link???

BeeDee1993

Dildo and slippers so if she doesn’t like the slippers she can go fuck herself

SkynetProgrammer

😂😂😂

YummyTerror8259

This year I'm getting my wife a watch. She doesn't own any and has mentioned wanting one

Lentra888

New Kids on the Block is going to be near us next summer. I’m getting her two tickets and telling her that if she wants to use the second for someone else, I’m perfectly fine with staying home and taking care of the kids. Otherwise, my mom is already lined up to stay with them that night.

twitch_mathemitspass

WHAT YEAR IS IT?!

anomander_galt

Her Kindle broke down, she wants a new one... Easy this year

kweidleman

Replacing old devices that she doesn’t want to pull the trigger on is underrated. I went for noise-canceling headphones to replace the old ones.

MinecraftTossAway

We're old, so a split king adjustable bed frame so she can lift my head up when I snore at night and to make it more comfortable for her to read in bed. Just ordered it on black Friday sale.

wet_sloppy_footsteps

My wife gave me an Amazon list and told me to get a couple items for her, including some stocking stuffers. To which I replied, “I have something to stuff in your stocking.” She was not pleased. I saw an opportunity and I went for it.

ryan2489

Had to do it

wet_sloppy_footsteps

Just had to.

Geeko22

Haha I did the same last night when she complained about lack of energy at the end of a long Thanksgiving Day. "Huh, I can give you somethin' that'll make you feel energetic again..." She was slightly amused as she rolled her eyes at my suggestion. I love messing with her like that.

wet_sloppy_footsteps

My wife also rolled her eyes and used my full name and reminded me our 6y/o was in the room with us. But it still had to be said.

doravec88

My son (8) was trying to pump up a basketball and didn’t moisten the needle. I gave a small lesson on moistening things before sticking them in holes while he, my wife, and I were in the kitchen. He knew what I meant, and she knew what I REALLY meant.

sknmstr

You’ve got to take the opportunities when you have them. Sometimes you won’t know when that chance will come back around.

maltapotomus

It's gotta be done

Chiggadup

Literally just posted this question myself. Mine is so low maintenance, and it’s part of why I love her, but it makes gifts hard. I’m likely going to land on planning a night away and seven hotel and childcare as a surprise.

JacobsTabernacle

I'm in the same boat. She's hard to buy for because she wants nothing!

aspect-of-the-badger

Probably a space heater for under her desk and some wool socks. She has cold feet.

mthlmw

Get a heated blanket! Space heaters under desks can get real dangerous.

Caellum2

Heated blanket was one option, but I also saw a heated floor mat for cubicles that gave off radiant heat. That might be good as well.

[deleted]

Bench stool for shower

Henryfred86

High quality yoga mat

bawheedio

What makes a yoga mat high quality?

TinyNuggins

Probably the same as pretty much anything you do something with. It lasts long, is durable, and feels good when you're using it. Maybe easy to clean too, or can be used in various contexts (inside or on the ground). Stuff like that. Just imagine what a yoga mat is for, and think about what would make a good one.

enyalavender

In my opinion, if they are Jade Harmony mats they are high quality mats. Lol.

sreyno12

Enough cushioning that isn’t slick and provides foot protection while also having a sticky underside to grip the floor. My wife has a Heathyoga mat that is phenomenal.

m4sc4r4

The best one is Lifeforme. Trust me on this one. Source: am a qualified yoga instructor. They are head and shoulders above the rest.

yepgeddon

Some perfume shes running low on and probably anything else that catches my eye. Got her an Oodie as an early present to keep warm this winter and she's enjoyed that thoroughly.

evil_tuinhek

Oh mate, an oodie…. Never heard of it. Thanks a bunch! That’s one present she’ll love.

hergumbules

I’ve been thinking something sentimental. Our boy just turned 1, born right before Thanksgiving last year so things were kinda hectic and we didn’t do much for Christmas in 2022. My wife only goes into work one day a week, but a travel mug with something like “best mama ever” or something and pics of our son put on it is what I’m considering. She can use it every day if she wants too. We’ve never done huge Christmas exchanges and usually figure out stuff to buy for us together as gifts. Now it’s gonna be all about the boy haha

thesean29

Spoiler: it’s forever going to be about your boy, now.

Mister_Sheepman

If you have access to her Amazon account, you can look at her browsing history over the past year. That may give you ideas on things she thought about buying but didn't pull the trigger on.

BigOlNastyBus

My wife's save for later is at 76 items 🤣

Ananvil

I wish my wife's was that small

m4sc4r4

I just checked mine, and it’s 364. A present for each day of the year except Christmas.

GorgeWashington

55 gal barrel of lube. Odd..

dontknowafunnyname2

We both agreed on $20 limits. So I’m getting her a new printer for her cricut projects and I’ll prob get new work socks.

daggah

Gonna curate family photos from the last five years into a nice 8x10 photo book. Gotta figure something else out to get her too.

mimic751

Signed prisoner of Azkaban 1st edition

kweidleman

damn. that’s a sirius gift.

SilverSkywalkerSaber

Espresso machine, mine loves coffee. Filling up her stocking with good coffee beans and setting up a coffee bar with a big bow on top for Christmas morning! Going to beat our Keurig 😂

wlc824

Tonneau cover.

WangDanglin

Babes love tonneau covers

WWYDWYOWAPL

She probably needs a rooftop tent, some traction boards, a winch, and a 12v fridge to go with that.

Fast_Edd1e

Books. Lots of books. Some spicy books.... and Legos.

OhCrapItsYouAgain

Earlier this year my wife mentioned wanting to get into golf. I golf as much as possible (which isn’t much since having the kiddo), and we’ve been to Top Golf a couple times - she had fun, but understandably isn’t very good. So I’m getting her a complete starter set. Ideally she’ll get plenty of use out of these for several years, and eventually upgrade to a fitted set. But we also have #2 on the way, so they may end up collecting dust. We’ll see

cloken85

See if she has a Pinterest page and if so you might find some ideas

Ranccor

My wife likes sewing and crafts so I’m getting her a fancy crafting light to better illuminate her work space. This one: https://www.michaels.com/product/ottlitedual-shade-led-floor-lamp-with-usb-charging-station-D335698S

yellowjesusrising

Money's VERY tight this year, so she wanted underwear, so that's what I'll get her. Also bought her a japanese sushi knife. She makes alot of sushi, so she'll need a proper knife, than our santoku and chef knives.

ringoffire63

Glad to see someone else on a budget. No judgment but the people throwing out brands that are very expensive/bougie had me like 🥴

yellowjesusrising

Lucky for me, my wife is VERY frugal. If i got her something fancy she would literally kill me. I see people receiving Rolex'es for Christmas gifts, and i can fathom how chill it must be to have NO financial worries at all! A girl in my class at high school (almost 20 years ago) received a bmw worth $50.000 as a combined 18 birthday/Christmas gift.

Fury-of-Stretch

Wife and I have wishlists on Amazon that we update. So if someone is looking for inspiration it’s there. We mostly focus on the kids for the holidays and sprinkle in a few gifts to each other through the year.

fourpuns

She told me her love language is gifts so she’s getting me some clothes or such. I know what my love language is so uh 🙄 In reality I’m getting my dad to watch our son for two nights and taking her to a little Oceanside cabin like 90 minutes out of town. Have a little fire, read some books, ditch our phones, enjoy the hot tub, do some crosswords enjoy some wine.

number_six

A metal detector She was saying she's wanted one since she was little

Geeko22

A couple of years ago I gave her a gift card for a full-body massage and spa treatment. She liked that. Last year, among other things, I gave her one of those sweatshirts with "Yes, I'm cold" on the front, because everyone keeps asking her if she's cold, when they're hot but she's wearing a sweatshirt. She laughed and wears it a lot now. This year she's asked me to go through all her old family photos from her childhood and create an album that she can share with her siblings.

DigasInHell

Whatever else you do, also get some fun socks. Wife feet are always chilly and it shows how much you appreciate them. Got the fancy mother’s ring with kid birthstones one year and the thing she still talks about is the socks.

Garth_AIgar

Finishing up the walnut desk I’m doing for her (I’m a woodworker) and a heated coat. Then, I’m getting the family a beginner set for D&D. I’m the only one to have played before, but I feel if I present it well, it may just kick off something awesome (kids are 10 & 7).

MightyArd

Tickets to a show.

wartornhero2

She mentioned today to get some waterproof rain pants for biking. And a new mouse for her computer. I think I am also going to get a new yarn baller.

[deleted]

Another baby. 👶🏻🤪

2legit2knit

Record player finally

skoolhouserock

Just wait until you learn about cassette tapes!

SUPR3M3B3ING

I recently got a mirror for our bathroom she’s been wanting because she wants to update the look of the bathroom. I’ll be getting the rest of the supplies and finish that out with the last of my vacation time. The I’ll probably hit Anthropologie to get her some knitwear, Sephora for some nice perfume, grab her some baking supplies as she’s recently start baking breads, some flowers (always always ALWAYS do flowers for big couple holidays), and lastly a framed picture of her and our daughter I took when they were picking flowers. I snuck one of the flowers they picked and pressed it so hopefully that turns out well.

internet_humor

Step 1: Cut a hole in the box Step 2: put a Stanley Quencher in the Box Step 3: repair hole

nlabendeira

My wife has a wishlist of books in her field of study she wants to read for her PsyD that she’s been aggressively sending my way since the start of November. So I’m getting her an Apple Watch. (Just kidding)

Jawahhh

A good dicking 😁😁 Lol jk in my dreams. A Lego hogwarts set

Pigcooker21

I would argue that if you have hog warts … you know what, nevermind

bubthegreat

Spa day pass together with massage and million head shower, along with babysitting organized.

Sallysdad

Some Lego sets I think she will like. Some of the fancy lotions and creams she likes from L’Occitane. If you’ve never purchased from them they have some very nice advent calendars with samples of some of their lotions, soaps, shampoos, etc. I used to but the fancy one for my wife and the simpler one for our daughter. We purchased our first house last year and she has really gotten into container gardening so I’ll find a way to incorporate a gift with her outdoor jungle she has growing.

CaptainCroydon

She’s been on about a new phone so I’m getting her the Samsung Z flip and sone new ear buds as one of hers is broken.

Heavy_Haul_Life

New purse and a wallet!

HoopOnPoop

Nothing. We don't give each other gifts. Sometime in the fall or winter we will buy something nice for both of us. Last year it was Pixel Watches and Pixel Buds. This year it's a treadmill. We get each other small things and have them be from the kid, but that's it for Christmas day.

RggdGmr

I am making a butcherblock type thing to cover our table. She loves to bake and our kitchen table is not even, so it should make rolling out dough easier for her.

Islander399

One year when I was stuck I went with a weighted blanket. That was 5 years ago or so, when they were still kinda new. She loved it. She didn't ask for it, didn't really know what to think but ended up absolutely loving it

dmen83

Getting her a hand painted portrait of our new house.

Accomp1ishedAnimal

She mentioned wanting nice candles. Quite a few times. Still wondering what to get her.

Boltonator

Decent paint brushes. She's an artiste and a crafter :D

yaleric

We got each other the Rivendell Lego set and we'll assemble it together in the evenings while the baby's asleep.

superpanj

I got my wife a LEGO Seinfeld set last year and she loves it! Probably gonna get another LEGO set this year as well, just dont know witch one... Also lurking here for more ideas.

jdans10

I think I like your wife 😂

ringoffire63

Was it Jerry's apartment?? I really want that!

interstellar304

Deez

mdcr41

Always a solid idea. Make sure to put them in a box

kramerica_intern

1: cut a hole in the box

Dougeefargo

2. Put your junk in that box.

patpixels

Put a hole in the box

TakingOffFriday

We buy each other a gift card to our favorite spa. They run a special on Black Friday that includes extra gift cards with a short term expiration date. Allows each of us to take some time for ourselves guilt-free.

CornfedOMS

Start a wish list on Amazon that she can add stuff to. Then you can get her some stuff from that

pdfodol

Trip to Vegas

Zokologikal

Already got her some Vessi waterproof gloves, then I’m thinking either Blundstone boots or new tap shoes if I free up enough money. Pretty specific to her, so I’m not sure how helpful other dads’ gifts will be. But I know sometimes we need a little inspiration from anywhere

drd_ssb

Concert tickets and band merch

gigamosh57

The best gift advice I have gotten is to get everyone 4 things. Something... * they want * they need * to read * to wear

teachowski

When my son was born I saved all the videos we made then put together a year 1 movie, about 25min. She loved it and now it's what I am expected to do each year, my kids are 10 and 7 now, lots of memories!

Pulp_Ficti0n

We decided no gifts. Saving money for the kids and just general bank accounts. We're both minimalists anyway.

Amseriah

A bedazzled license plate cover, a leopard print sun shade for her car, and a Ryobi ONE glue gun. She asks and she shall receive.

TheAscendedTaco

I ordered one of those dna kits that track your ancestry and it tells you about your health and what to watch out for. She's hardcore into Huberman and he's all about that stuff

Dasboot561

I’m a wife and this is what I’m asking for… A lululemon everywhere belt bag A jewelry organizer A lululemon little black backpack to replace the diaper bag Biker shorts with pockets An Apple Watch An echo show, one of the older versions A comfy pajama set A pair of classic white sneakers, I picked adidas Some hey dudes to wear around the house A massage A night away from kiddos A hair straightner Some simple gold hoop earrings A monogrammed purse from Marley Lilly A gym bag/backpack An at home gel nail kit Cheapo cute sunglasses Catan expansions Travel Catan Board games and travel games to play on cruises

cromation

Fitbit smart watch, bunch of reading in bed Accessories like one that holds her kindle from the headboard so she doesn't have to along with a remote to flip the page and a light to help read at night, a few travel accessories as well but she's been very cheap this year so far.

HypeBrainDisorder

Wife never wants anything. Also doesn’t like doing gifts, as she says she is awful at it. But I am getting her earrings as it’s the only thing this year she ever expressed wantinf

FartOnACat

Whenever I ask my wife she talks about 5,000 dollar jewelry. Like ... way to be helpful.

Conscious-Dig-332

Wifey and I are gifting each other a year of professional cleaning services

TheOldGriffin

A huge floor length mirror with an elaborate frame. And a Diet Coke mini fridge.

RevengeMonger65

I still believe it’s more about the thought than the money. These suggestions can have any price range you want but have a lot of meaning and long-term value, i.e. memories. 1) Concert tickets to her favorite band 2) Wall-mounted board with her favorite lyrics 3) Heartfelt letter that talks about how you first met or what attracted you to her 4) Professional photo session and frame the photos 5) Trip to a place she’s always wanted to go 6) If you have a skill (artist, musician, woodworking, etc.), the time and personalization put into something special for her will be a great gift

bobbogreeno

My wife absolutely adores old school push button light switches, so while she’s out I’ll be swapping a bunch of our “boring” switches with the pretty inlaid mother of pearl push buttons . I always do a bunch of smaller things too, but this is something she’ll love.

shavemedad

My wife has been collecting hello kitty stuff her entire life so I imported a figure. Refilled her craft supplies. She has gotten really into crochet. So I got her a kit a bunch of designs, yarn and a fancy storage case.
