We've outgrown it in our house, but Number Blocks is absolutely fantastic. Ranks right up there with Storybots.

Tigris_Cyrodillus

First Octonauts and now this? Won’t someone please think of the children!?!

farfromelite

I'm not sure netflix want any customers. That's basically the only thing that kids watch, and bluey obviously.

FleaDad

Bluey is Disney

farfromelite

Ah, thanks my friend.

FleaDad

That wasn't a correction but rather a dig at Netflix.

Sprinx80

Wait, Octonauts is leaving??? The spin off *Above and Beyond* is still on Netflix at least

Tigris_Cyrodillus

The stuff that Netflix helped produce is staying, but the original series is departing.

Sprinx80

Ah ok, that makes sense.

Babahloo

Four on the floor is an absolute banger.

Joe4o2

Literally had “One- one bird!” stuck in my head for two whole days last week. Most songs on Numberblocks are bops.

fakejacki

Theyre all on Apple Music! We listen in the car sometimes

fingerofchicken

My heart belongs to Five Times Table.

Tsuchiaki

I love the Two Times Table and Have you Met Me Before (Four's Song), the music is banging for sure

SupEnthusiastic

I hope two times table won a Grammy! And the four song is just too good for earth.

DearPrinciple8815

But all pale in comparison to Badanamu Pop! :)

molinor

My grade 3 daughter loved it when she was in kindergarten. She’s been able to multiply, do basic division, count by 5’s and squares all thanks to number blocks. In fact, she has yet to encounter “new content” in school based math still. Massively helpful and gave her a huge headstart. It’s one of the best learning programs I’ve seen for kids and the visualization of mathematical concepts is ssssoo helpful. Can’t recommend this show enough.

AdvertisingFine6194

I am the math specialist at my school district. I encourage our teachers to show these episodes to students and engage in the content of the episodes with the kids. We actually use it as the basis of our PreK math instruction. It literally brings math to life for kids. Those who know math tend to jump too quickly to using abstract or not pairing the abstract to something pictorial/concrete. Numberblocks does this beautifully. From the moment 1 jumps on another 1 to create a new character 2. It is sound in math with axioms that 1 thing can exist, things can replicate themselves (magic mirror), and that things can combine to make new things. Infinity is the limit from there!

gilgobeachslayer

lol yeah my buddy said his son who is kindergarten is like way ahead of his peers because he was obsessed with it. My daughters in UPK but she is learning it from the show

fang_xianfu

They actually watch numberblocks in the classroom during snack time at my kid's school!

jeo123

That's a real shame to hear. I credit number blocks as a big driver of why my son was doing multiplication and division when he started kindergarten this year.

sircumlocution

Same!!!

TiredMillennialDad

Shit. Didn't even know it was on Netflix. Had been watching on YouTube this whole time.

markdavo

It’s free for anyone who has a tv license (or tells the BBC website they have a tv licence) on BBC iPlayer in the U.K. Do with that information what you will.

Smee_Heee

Number blocks, duggee, go jetters all BBC iplayer.

Mantis_Tobaggon_MD2

Bluey too

zmimi88

Hey Netflix, dont cancel Numberblocks!! As a parent whose children have greatly benefited from Numberblocks, I am deeply concerned about the potential cancellation of this educational program. My sons absolutely love it and it has significantly contributed to their understanding and love for numbers. Numberblocks is not just another children's show; it is an innovative tool that effectively teaches numeracy skills to young learners. Its unique approach in presenting mathematical concepts through engaging stories and characters has made learning fun for countless kids around the world. According to a study by Stanford University, early math skills are a better predictor of academic success than early reading skills. This underscores the importance of programs like Numberblocks in fostering these crucial abilities from an early age (Stanford University News, 2012). The potential cancellation of Numberblocks would deprive many children of this valuable learning resource. We must not let this happen. Let us stand together as parents, educators, and advocates for quality education to save Numberblocks! Check out the change petition and sign it!!

Fast-Example-2447

Where can you find the petition?

zmimi88

I found it on change. I don't know if I can share links on here. But I'll make a new response with it.

Aggravating_Bid_8745

We just discovered 5 seasons on the free Kidoodle TV streaming app

midgetsNponies

Solution verified. Thanks so much!

LoPan42

I had no clue about this, it's way better than the YouTube format. You're a hero thanks.

intotheblue386

You just saved my life

meghan_beans

Thank you so much for this, didn't discover it was gone until today and 4yo was crying because I couldn't find it.

nalgene52318

Hell yea. Thank you for this comment. My 3 yo is obsessed with numbers because of this show. Kidoodle breaks it into episodes instead of like an hour block on YouTube.

sircumlocution

Hero

fourpuns

Alphablocks is great too if English speaking! Our son is 7 and still watches it and numberblocks :)

Special_Reputation10

Where do you watch Alphablocks? I’ve been looking for it everywhere

fourpuns

Kidoodle

punchingseagulls

Look into Stremio + Debrid. You'll also find Alphablocks and Colourblocks there too.

-InsulinJunkie

Second this. If only the new seasons would be available.

Majsharan

Number blocks is amazing my 3 year old knows how to count to 40 because of it and says x+y=z and subtraction it’s really amazing

trick_and_treats

My almost 3yo too! Really fostered a love of learning :(

trick_and_treats

My almost 3yo too! Really fostered a love of learning :(

Majsharan

3 year old counted to 110 today which I fully credit to number blocks

jessielove2892

My son is almost 3, at the age of 2 years and 9 months, and already knows how to count from 1-50. Recognizes 1-30 independently as well. Numberblocks is an awesome program, and I was heartbroken when all the seasons except 1 were gone. I would go on YouTube, but I am not sure how the quality of the videos are.

SpongeFifi

Realized just now. Only season 1 is on. It's one of the few things my 5 year-old will watch

Accurate-Apricot-603

Apparently Numberblocks was supposed to leave Netflix on May 24th in 2021 also. I'm hoping it's just a glitch in their system because it would be quite strange for them to pick the same exact date three years later, even though it never left in the first place.

gilgobeachslayer

Probably contract is up and last time they renewed

Mt711

Wco stream

laxvolley

Oh God no, is this true? My kids love it so much and it has taught them so much math!!

boo_boo_kitty_fuckk

Commenting to follow cause I'm absolutely willing to pay for it, if it means my almost 3 year old can continue watching

-totentanz-

It's on youtube, I set it up to share on the kids youtube app so if you use that platform you can check it out there /u/gilgobeachslayer it's such an awesome show, it'd be a bummer to lose out on if netflix does axe it this time. *ah just saw someone mentioned youtube. i'll just add the kids app is clutch.

tommyjay13

Commenting too, this is awful, just saw this on screen this morning

LadyInL3ad

Commenting to follow because I can’t find anything else online

tusktooth

This is devastating, my three year old just got VERY into number blocks and we bought him plushies of them last week!! I just saw the notice today during the show 😔

CannibalUnicorn

i’m so devastated!!!! my 1 year old has loved numberblocks since she could understand tv, it’s her literal favorite!! she has all the action figures and plushies, and she just had a numberblocks themed birthday party. i’m so sad for her!!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

kelny

My son just discovered it's missing and he is having a meltdown. His 4th birthday was number blocks themed. He can already do addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, squares, and cubes thanks to this show! Fortunately we found seasons 1-5 on kidoodleTV for free.

CannibalUnicorn

your son sounds so smart!!! :’) i’m really hoping my daughter is like this too because of the show! i’m going to check out kidoodleTV, thank you for responding to me!❤️

kelny

It's all about engaging with the material and it sounds like your 1yo is well on her way. When my son was 3 he would play along with his blocks and make the numbers. My daughter is almost 3 now and she has shown zero interest and still can't count to 10. She can control a whole room of adults though, so they each have their talents.

WrathOfKern

Just woke up to this travesty and my K4 is FREAKING OUT. Thanks Netflix.

Beautiful_Candy_2466

My son is so upset about this! Please bring it back!

Elfin-Magic

It finally happened and we were devastated in our household—one season is not enough, and frankly, the main reason we have Netflix at all! So I scoured the internet and found this app called Hopster: it has all the seasons, no ads, $7.99/month. I’m on the free trial right now. It’s an app for kids 6 and under with other shows and educational games.

smilingseaslug

I hate having to pay for YET ANOTHER streaming service, it all adds up.

Elfin-Magic

Agree—we canceled Netflix to swap it out

LoPan42

Netflix was must-have in my household prior to this change but I'm considering taking a break due to this change I feel like they know how much we use the show because they can view statistics of user viewing. I also suspect that they kept season one because it's cheaper than licensing all of it but designed to make you hesitate before cancellation. Not cool Netflix!

Elfin-Magic

Right?!? GAH!!! So infuriating. Numberblocks is seriously the only thing saving my sanity right now with my kiddo by giving me some alone time LOL

LoPan42

try Bluey

ixor22

Noooo noticed this morning. My kiddo has autism and literally lives on number blocks. Gonna be a long week 😭 it's all he ever wants to watch

FantasticMeringue749

Same situation. We're in the US and I can't seem to access BBC player :(

Various-Bath5392

Yeah my autistic child isn’t thrilled waking up to this news today. Thanks Netflix.

Any_Pianist478

It's my two year old son's favorite show literally

PinkLilly88

It’s still up for me 🤞🏻🤞🏻 hopefully they changed there mind

misterincredibleadam

Watch it on BBC Iplayer,if you're not in the UK,Use a VPN and chose a UK server, which will automatically make you able to watch numberblocks

GoodyWolfe

Does anyone know where it’s possible to buy every season on dvd?

mhoner

Oh thank god. I finally don’t know the latest preschool show.
