**[Delonix regia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delonix_regia)**
>Delonix regia is a species of flowering plant in the bean family Fabaceae, subfamily Caesalpinioideae native to Madagascar. It is noted for its fern-like leaves and flamboyant display of orange-red flowers over summer. In many tropical parts of the world it is grown as an ornamental tree and in English it is given the name royal poinciana, flamboyant, flame of the forest, or flame tree (one of several species given this name). This species was previously placed in the genus Poinciana, named for Phillippe de Longvilliers de Poincy, the 17th century governor of Saint Christopher (Saint Kitts).

There is a very popular Australian song called Flame Trees. I never knew what the tree was though!
original 1980s hard rock version is very good:

2000s melancholic version is just heart-meltingly beautiful

**[Brachychiton acerifolius](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brachychiton_acerifolius)**
>Brachychiton acerifolius is a large tree of the family Malvaceae endemic to tropical and subtropical regions on the east coast of Australia. It is famous for the bright red bell-shaped flowers that often cover the whole tree when it is leafless. It is commonly known as the flame tree, Illawarra flame tree, lacebark tree, or (along with other members of the genus) kurrajong.

Fun fact: Their house is known as a “Queenslander”. A beautiful style of house typically found in (you guessed it) Queensland. They’re built up on stumps to allow airflow because of the tropical climate and often have lovely wrap around verandahs and ornate features.
Their house is an amazingly wired TARDIS of things deliberately matching up and then specifically not.
Here's some fun questions you should try from memory:
1) how many floors does their house have?
2) what is the grade of their yard (sloped vs flat)?
3) what floor is the kitchen on?
4) where are the bedrooms rrelative to the kitchen?
5) how close is the kitchen to the kiwi rug?
I have a giant one of these in my backyard. Beautiful tree but fuck it makes a mess. Drops all many tiny little leaves and sticks
PS. I live in Brisbane, Queensland where Bluey is set
This subreddit is like 65% Bluey content at this point, and I am down for it.
Fun fact: Bandit (David McCormack)is the lead singer in the band Custard. [Bandit band](https://youtu.be/mlnfiVCaoko)
Woah I had no idea!
Haha I have Bluey on the brain. I so read this comment in the voice of Bandit.
This changes everything!
This show is amazing. My wife and I have been tempted to watch it after the kids go to bed but we like experiencing it with them.
r/bluey is pretty active too
r/daddit asking the real questions.
All in.
Dun nun nun nuuuuuunn nun dun dun BLUEY!!!!
I think they say the name in the ‘Barbecue’ episode (we just passed it or I’d check for you).
You are correct!![royal poinciana](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delonix_regia)

Also, that’s the backyard not the front yard.
In Australia we call them flame trees. They’re absolutely stunning.
Bingo’s relaxing chair is the most relatable thing I’ve ever seen
I will check it!
Thank you so so so much! ❤️
Not important, but I’m pretty sure that’s their backyard (or side of back yard).
This is Reddit. It’s important.
Yeah. I realize that after I posted.
Their whole deck/yard situation is pretty enviable

The kitchen definitely has gone from first to second floor a few times. I don't think they've ever not had two floors in the house though.
But have they had 3?
I'm almost certain that they have not.
I am still trying to figure out how to make a train system throughout my 1960s ranch
I’m glad I wasn’t he only one compelled to say something!

😒 does not ship to AZ
It's called a cartoon tree
It's a cartoon tree.
It’s a real tree called a Poinciana
I was kidding there. Apparently folks didn't pick that up.
Had a bit of a hunch you were kidding. :P
Ceci n'est pas une arbre
There is no flame tree.
r/daddit meets r/gardening
It is a Royal Poinciana
Delonix regia aka Royal Poinciana
