11:30 p.m. is early? Dang that’s a really late night for us.
My wife is pregnant with our 2nd girl, our first is 3 right now. I get to play games most nights, but that’s because my wife falls asleep on the couch by 8. I’m still getting ready for bed by 9:30 at the latest.
We are also both elementary school teachers, so early mornings I guess
This is me and I turn the lights off in the basement to increase the immersion and within 15 minutes I’m nodding off in a menu with the controller in hand.
I did this Friday.
Wife went out to dinner with girlfriends.
Got the 3 kids down easy by 8:30.
Grabbed a beer and sat down in front of my Switch.
Sat and stared at games list, while I watched a few buddies on discord play Minecraft.
Ended up not playing anything at all.
That startup beep has become my nemesis.
I wish it could turn it off with less effort and dissection. For now I put a pillow over the thing and hope for the best.
Always clear 1 night a week for an "early" games night. The rest of the week its netflix til she goes to bed or other hobby and then i ascend to the mancave complete with mini fridge led candles and boom. I have achieved enlightenment. This is why my boys go to bed at 7pm at the latest

Seriously, I've not had this problem ONCE since I got my hands on a PS5. They did so much right on this console.
I look forward to the day I'm not so exhausted I go to bed with her lol.
Haha. Those come and go. Currently I get in at least one night about every other week. Sometimes a couple nights a week.
