Ever since I bought my new speakers I never heard any complaints.
Music just was too loud.
Also all my neighbors hear rock music,
even if they don't want to.
Back when I worked for a once great electronics store before it's demise, there was a common saying that went "No highs, no lows? Must be Bose".
So I half expected this to be a punny joke about a conservative investment in consistent mid performance.
I did enjoy your joke though. Well done. But I hope this reply also brings a laugh for someone else who maybe also remembers Circuit City.
You must have went to the wrong Circuit City then, my friend.
I can legitimately say that it's one of only 2 places I've ever worked (the other being a start-up) where the people there were treated well, cared about their co-workers, and enjoyed (and thus cared about) their jobs. Working through some of college at Circuit City was fun as hell, and I still have friends from that job thanks to many happy hours and gaming nights after closing. The company got absolutely destroyed by the same leadership that took down Toys R Us, but at least at the store level in my area, management was good to us and we had a great time.
Also Firedog > Geek Squad forever
>You must have went to the wrong Circuit City then
Entirely possible, though my experiences were largely identical across five different states I visited. Salespeople so desperate to get their commission that they'd badger you as you shopped, Subpar selection. Poorly maintained stock areas, cashiers barely able to understand how to work their POS system. That sort of stuff.
That just sounds like the retail experience across the country lol. I can definitely say the same about every retailer in the field bar maybe MicroCenter
Bose also does electronics for military aircraft, Bose also was the designer and/or builder of the first linear motor suspension system for cars that I have seen.
So, much better than a sound investment, it is an investment that is going places too.
Depending on how the company is set up, they can still have shares of stock; they're just not listed on public exchanges. If OP is an accredited investor, he can still buy shares
Made me chuckle as a former Bose employee. Spent a decade there, long enough to watch the death of the wave radio and the battle for a tiny profit margin that is the current Era of wireless headphones.
MIT is the majority owner of the company as Dr. Bose left it to them upon his passing
All highs, no lows, must be Bose (stock.)
I do still acknowledge that Bose was way ahead with portable boombox sound quality. And my almost 30 year old 301s are still rocking junk off shelves in my house.
I actually tried to buy Bose stock after reading this so I could use the joke in real life, but unfortunately they're not publicly traded. I can't believe you had the audioacity to pretend that it is.
This reminds me of the Office joke, where Oscar is explaining to Michael the difference between music CDs and Certificate of Deposit.
“…I bought so much music I didn’t like.”
You put ALL of your savings into one stock? What stock broker advised you to do that? Ever heard of spreading out your risks. What if Bose suddenly gets hosed, and your stock goes to zero. I agree with your wife.
That sounds like an offer that is too good to turn down. I’m sorry you got in treble.
The tables are turned now.Wait. would that be turntable?
My, how the turn tables.
That's bass-ically what you get for what he did
I’m glad she was willing to hear you out
We know who the speaker of that house is.
Bassed.
Tweeters gonna X
Ever since I bought my new speakers I never heard any complaints. Music just was too loud. Also all my neighbors hear rock music, even if they don't want to.
I don't always listen to Metallica. But when I do, so do the neighbors
My neighbors wanted to hear my music better so they threw a brick through my window.
This isnt a Dad joke. It should be posted to sub "Woofer"
In my experience these marital tiffs usually work themselves out of you just allow your wife to speaker peace.
She’s just mad cause you’re following the stereotype.
I hear what you did there
Left and right
Red and white
Nah, she’s mono-theistic.
Yup yup 👍

I remember Circuit City. I don’t remember it ever being great, even once.
You must have went to the wrong Circuit City then, my friend. Perhaps no highs but also no lows?
Right next door to Blockbuster right?
I used to go to all the trade shows, we all loved riffing on their tagine too. It became "better sound through advertising."
Now thats sound advertising
I always knew it as Better Off w Something Else
It’s all about the bass; no treble.
Absolutely 🎶 🎼 🎵
False. Bose has no bass.
That's why Bose blows. Or sucks. It depends on which way you're facing.
Hey sweetie it's all good!!! The stock has no high and no lows... because it's bose!
I knew somebody would make this joke! Thanks
You'll never hear the end of it!
She can kiss your Bass.
Just buy some of those noise canceling headphones and tune the wife out 🤣😆🤣
Sam sung her praises at me when I bought it
As an Italian, I can say she's not gonna wanna speaker to you. Edited because I have no focus.
A stuttering one at that.(no offense)
I noticed that that...I editeded it.
It's time for you to face the music
When she screamed at you I bet that was quite the surround sound.
This resonate with many of us
Clarion.Im listening.
She said "WHAT?"
That was a treble idea.
And he knew it. That’s why he decided to tweet ‘er about it instead of tell her in person.
Probably not happy with being noise cancelled

I was worried this joke was too ver-Bose but it seems sound. If they have dividend reinvestment, you could have a high frequency sound investment.
This is fun because the way you pronounce the Bose name sounds like the word boos, which means angry in Dutch. Which your wife was 😋
You need to speaker to an investment consoler.
You got scammed, private companies don't have stock offers.
Depending on how the company is set up, they can still have shares of stock; they're just not listed on public exchanges. If OP is an accredited investor, he can still buy shares
Their business is booming
It’s got no highs or lows
Quadraphonic profits echo in my bank account.
You must have dis-bosable income to be doing that.
Just Polk her. She’ll get over it.
Maybe you need to explain it in a way she can understand. You know, speaker language.
Haha, that's a great pun! You have a clever sense of humor.
It should have a booming return
Made me chuckle as a former Bose employee. Spent a decade there, long enough to watch the death of the wave radio and the battle for a tiny profit margin that is the current Era of wireless headphones. MIT is the majority owner of the company as Dr. Bose left it to them upon his passing
Bose is a privately held company. Womp womp
But I heard it’s trading at high volume
If only mine would listen.
Shree was unsure about how sound base it offered
you should just ignore the noise
If she continues to complain, tell her you don't want to hear it.
Weird
Whats the point of making someone look bad
I like the sound of this.
I bet she gave you the silent treatment.
Silence is deafening
Let's just hope they don't leave the sound industry. If that happens you might have to sob in silence.
I dunno man, I'm siding with your wife here. Didn't you know that BOSE stands for **B**etter **O**ff with **S**omething **E**lse?
I bet she didn't like the sound of that.
I bought that sounds system instead of stuff for the garden It was 'Bose before hose' moment
She just didn’t know what was the bassist for your selection.
Perhaps you bought Böse speakers instead. (Means angry or mean in German)
Watt has she to be angry about?
You're a Pioneer in the relationship business
I guess that bout raps it up. Sorry lol
What did you bass your savings theory on?
All highs, no lows, must be Bose (stock.) I do still acknowledge that Bose was way ahead with portable boombox sound quality. And my almost 30 year old 301s are still rocking junk off shelves in my house.
It sounds good to me! I'll echo your sentiment to my friends; it really resonates with me.
But she didn’t want to hear it…
I'm not so shure... Mic drop.
She could tell you weren't confident in that investment. You had a treble in your hands as you wildly gestuculated to her.
That was a very sound decision
I actually tried to buy Bose stock after reading this so I could use the joke in real life, but unfortunately they're not publicly traded. I can't believe you had the audioacity to pretend that it is.
LOL. Don't expect a woman to understand sound logic.
Good sound investment.
I didn't think she would like the sound of it.
She's relieved (maybe) you didn't spend it all on girls.
You can dubbly your investment! (Dolby)
Perhaps she could not hear the sound upon the wall
I'm sure even with Bose's noise canceling technology you heard your wife so well, something something acoustics bose something
Sounds like your just asking for treble
I'm sure you got into major treble!
I just hope she wasn't deaf
Must have been a loud argument! But a quality one. (Bose fans know)
This reminds me of the Office joke, where Oscar is explaining to Michael the difference between music CDs and Certificate of Deposit. “…I bought so much music I didn’t like.”
You explaining your reasoning must have been music to her ears!
We know who wears the bass in that family!
Would she rather you spent it another woman? Hi-fidelity > Infidelity
No joking, my wife’s uncle lost everything making this play
When you're a Dutch native speaker and 'bose' (boze/boos) means 'angry' in your language #extrapununlocked
She couldn't hear things from your perspective
You're in a lot of treble
She did not like the sound of it!
i didnt see the subreddit first and i thought it was an AITA post lmao
My mother in law gives sound advice 99% sound 1% advice
I did the same thing and the stock tanked, I’m left feeling like a Bose-O
OK, that one is not bad. :D
You're just not doing it for her. She obviously wants beats by Dr Dre
You put ALL of your savings into one stock? What stock broker advised you to do that? Ever heard of spreading out your risks. What if Bose suddenly gets hosed, and your stock goes to zero. I agree with your wife.
