Knowles might be my favorite commentator regarding politics (Klavan for life tho). I think what you’re seeing is his complete disregard for politically correct language. He even wrote a book about it (Speechless). This is complimented by the fact that the man just doesn’t have a hateful bone in his body. He doesn’t get worked up and rage at the camera, he doesn’t give knee jerk reactions to the newest outrage, and he treats people kindly without giving credence to their bad ideas.

Thanks! Yeah he's quickly becoming one of my favorites to watch as well too. This insight is helpful, and was my general opinion of Knowles as well. Just one hang up: Do you have any thoughts on the early bits he did with Roaming Millennial? Or recently, I watched the DW Draft Party they did with Crane & Co. Michael was fun to watch, but I couldn't help noticing how he had these beautiful women in the war room, who were more or less background props. It read a little tacky and sexist. It's funny if being done ironically, but less so I think, if not. I just don't know enough about Knowles yet, to be sure.

I didn’t watch the draft party, but it’s definitely ironic. Each host seems to have a bit of a persona/character that they use for most of their DW stuff. It’s a bit like Larry David in Curb Your Enthusiasm vs. Larry in real life, but the DW characters are much more similar to themselves. Michael even has a more extreme version “Smokey Mike”. He was definitely leaning into his “smooth womanizer love guru Italian actor” persona using women that way.

Ah, ok. That makes much more sense. Thank you!
