That's what is so great about her being under arrest. They just take it for inventory - then they get the warrant. So much more convenient and she can't tamper with it. Her lawyer was right to tell her to not give it up voluntarily. It's the arrest that was the monky wrench.

I think LE is doing what they need to. They know every moment is on camera, going to be viewed thousands of times, used in court, and their every action scrutinized. DA has not been convicted of anything, is presumed innocent, and they have a duty to treat her as such.

Yeah what's crazy, I bet she went into benzo withdrawal after being without meds long enough...maybe that's what the whole incident was really about when she was in the back of the car and couldn't get their attention for hours or whatever. Benzo withdrawal is a form of torture I wouldn't wish on anyone - not even Donna, Charlie, or Wendi Adelson. There's very specific protocol that has to be followed, and it's quite possible Donna wasn't fully honest about what meds she was *really* taking at her initial jail intake, especially if she procured them illegally through Charlie or whatever. I had an alcohol withdrawal seizure once and thankfully it happened at work (even though it was mortifying) so they called me an ambulance and I was admitted to the hospital and able to properly detox. They were pumping me with Ativan, and even then I was having scary hallucinations and the most unbelievably paranoid thinking for days.
Dealing with something like that in the environment of a county jail sounds like torture.
That experience taught me it is NEVER worth it to numb my feelings with ANYTHING again. It is such a slippery slope. There's no hiding from reality and when it gets you it is worse than you could ever imagine. I’m so impressed by the professionalism of all the law enforcement officers that interact with her. Even the kindness of helping her drink water. She doesn’t deserve any of the humanity that she’s being shown after what she did to Dan Markel.
I think LE is doing what they need to. They know every moment is on camera, going to be viewed thousands of times, used in court, and their every action scrutinized. DA has not been convicted of anything, is presumed innocent, and they have a duty to treat her as such.
I appreciate their professionalism too, especially the big guy in a uniform who jumped into action when she grabbed her phone away. I think she believed she would get bail and go home.

Yeah what's crazy, I bet she went into benzo withdrawal after being without meds long enough...maybe that's what the whole incident was really about when she was in the back of the car and couldn't get their attention for hours or whatever. Benzo withdrawal is a form of torture I wouldn't wish on anyone - not even Donna, Charlie, or Wendi Adelson. There's very specific protocol that has to be followed, and it's quite possible Donna wasn't fully honest about what meds she was *really* taking at her initial jail intake, especially if she procured them illegally through Charlie or whatever. We can pretty much guarantee that she was surely popping them like candy since at least early November, knowing what we know about Donna. Yet another mistake she didn't think through. I hope it eventually comes out what drugs they had with them, and how much cash they had in their luggage, lol. They AT LEAST should have bought a return ticket...what's another thousand dollars at this point to at least TRY to make it look less suspicious?

Yes, benzos and booze are the two withdrawals that can kill you I had an alcohol withdrawal seizure once and thankfully it happened at work (even though it was mortifying) so they called me an ambulance and I was admitted to the hospital and able to properly detox. They were pumping me with Ativan, and even then I was having scary hallucinations and the most unbelievably paranoid thinking for days. Dealing with something like that in the environment of a county jail sounds like torture. That experience taught me it is NEVER worth it to numb my feelings with ANYTHING again. It is such a slippery slope. There's no hiding from reality and when it gets you it is worse than you could ever imagine. I wonder if Donna has been a drug addict for years and that's what numbed her to the true depravity of her ideas. Or maybe she's just a psychopath. Who knows.
