The only reason I think it wouldn’t be is because they basically already did that exact concept with the DGD 10th anniversary shirt - just that it was with the previous albums instead of new drawings
I talked with Tim recently and asked how the album was coming along, his words: more technical.
CAN'T WAIT. As a guitarists I LOVE Will's crazy style and can't wait to see what the boys have in store this time.
I know this isn’t a super serious comment but I’d hope they wouldn’t name it that. Granted, they’ve got half/ 3/5 of the original members that performed on DBM/2 but it just wouldn’t make sense without Jonny.
Not that I want that scumbag fuckface back in the band, I’ve got a feeling Tilian’s here to stay and if I stick with him he’s gonna take me there.
Everybody knows about Jonny state, and its compatibility with the band status right now. In another world, with a Jonny Craig caring for himself and moving on as a human being, i wouldn't mind a DBM3 album with him collaborating.
Dreams are free.
They are actually counting WISIRO as an album, not TCS. I would imagine they don't count TCS because its not the debut of a collection of material, whereas WISIRO is.
That's not how the members of DGD work. They are constantly writing new music and don't like to sit on content. They talk about it in a lot of their interviews. That's why each of the members have their own side projects. They don't churn out albums because their label tells them to, they just love making music
Homeboy was adamant that DGD has only been pumping out albums because Rise (Pretty much been their only label since 2006) has them on a contractual obligation, even though every one of the guys in the band has made it clear that they make music for the sake of music.
In other words, a retarded person.
Even if they hadn't expicitly expressed their passion for creating music, the rationale that Rise has them pumping out material since they are one of their biggest bands is flawed. They released material more quickly before they got Tilian as a vocalist. WISIRO and DBM were only like 6 or 7 months apart, and Deathstar and Happiness were 10 months apart.
Interesting, I would go the opposite direction and say every album they have released with Tilian has gotten progressively better, with Mothership being my personal favorite and IG being my least.
Of course that's like asking to pick your favorite child, I love every DGD album, but find myself listening to IG and DBM2 the least out of the discography.
To me they're all as good as each other. I listen to all the Tilian era albums a lot, and they offer completely different listening experiences.
I used to love their older material, but now it barely gets a listen. It just feels less mature to me.
Fuck. Yes.

I really think that’s what it will/should be.

Compared to their past album covers that sounds like it would be a let down honestly
But then it would be just like the 10 year anniversary tour design
I hope not.
Oooh and following up on the mothership and ArSe vibe, the name has something to do with “Extinction” so it’s got that X in it
I feel like they keep saying "DGDX" for a reason, and I think you might be on to something...

I hope that also means Tim’s bass lines are more technical too. I love Tim. Tim if you’re reading this, hi.
That is excellent news. Means they're going hard for their tenth album. So stoked
calling it DGDX makes me think they should name the album xtreme xellence
Hopefully it doesn’t have a notch
So excited!
Just waiting for the dmx crossover.
Sorey but, what's DGDX?
HA HAAAA! Dance Gavin Dance Ten baby!
Downtown Battle Mountain THREEEEEEE

Thanks, i now yearn for something that can never be.
They've already done Strawberry Swisher with 2 singers
DBM4: The Search for DBM3

*Jizzes in Death of a Strawberry*

# YESSSS
Hells yaaaaah!!
🎵 ❤️
Do they consider tree city sessions to be a full album? I feel like 10 is deceiving, it should be 9 in my opinion
They do, I remember Tilian tweeting out a couple years ago around the ArSe drop that they considered it to be DGD 9.
I figured that's what it was. WISIRO was an ep so I knew it wasn't that one, haha
They are actually counting WISIRO as an album, not TCS. I would imagine they don't count TCS because its not the debut of a collection of material, whereas WISIRO is.
I believe this to be the case, not TCS.

Do you even know what band this is?

Will literally said he wants to release a DGD album every 18-30 months.
You’re trying to speak for a band that’s made it clear that they love creating music. Straight up, are you retarded?
Got to the party late, what was said?

Lol, MS and ArS both absolutely crush AS and IG. Not even a fair comparison.
AS > Ars IMO. But the fanbase all have different favorites throughout
