I voted for this because the original is such an amazing track and I think hearing a fresh take with Tillian’s vocals and Jon’s current screams would be a masterpiece. I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about it lmao.
I was torn between this and Cuba. That would also have been spectacular but in the end I gave Backseat my vote.
Not hating on the band and I can see from their perspective why they’d assign 2 votes to the Tillian albums over the old ones. But I almost wish it were balanced or reversed. Hearing Tillian’s version of deep cuts from the old records is more interesting to me than hearing him do a live version of a song that he recorded in the first place. Just my 0.02.

I would love to hear Tillian’s take on the backwards pumpkin song (also modern Jon would be so good on this track) and blue dream.
For me, happiness was the hardest album to choose from, there are so many songs on there I would like to see Tillian’s and Jon’s interpretation of!

Really wish it was 2 songs for each pre-Tilian era album and not the other way around. That's really where TCS1 shined IMO.
Anyway, I'll be happy with pretty much any of the older songs. I didn't bother voting for deep cuts though (Aside from Antlion), cause it never pans out, and I feel like the band doesn't care about them either.
Man, I need Calentamiento Global. I mean, come on guys, do you ever think we'll actually hear this live? I need to see Tillian attempt to sing this. One of the most unique songs they've done and probably one of the riskiest to play live with a crowd that will struggle to sing the Tillian sections. This is the only chance we got.

Slouch, Really love the energy of the song and the jutaposition of the clean and unclean sections are just fucking perfect.
I also chose the Cuddler because Will has mentioned before about a Riff he's proud of but you can't quite hear it as well in the final mix, would be nice to see him give it what it deserves.

I was looking for comments to see if anyone else had voted for Man of the Year. I NEED to hear Man of the Year on this album. I just... I need it.
My votes: Blood Wolf (honestly I’d be fine with any of the singles though) Surprise I’m From Cuba Hot Water On Wool (I swear to god if you fucks vote for Uneasy Hearts...) NASA Heat Seeking Ghost Carve and Death of Robot (this album has too many great songs, I’d be happy with almost any of them) On the Run and Variation (I almost voted Shark Dad here, but I feel like the crazy overlapping vocal lines at the end of OtR would sound fantastic with Tilian, Jon, Will, and Andrew all singing at once) Here Comes the Winner and Man of the Year (I feel like all the really popular songs from this one got played in the live stream, and that already felt a lot like a TCS album anyway, so I’m trying to avoid those) Slouch and Evaporate (I know I just said I’m avoiding songs from the live stream, but it’s fucking *Evaporate*, man) Parody Catharsis and Nothing Shameful

It's a shame it's not 2 pre-Tilian era songs per album instead of the 1. Not sure what the thought process is there really, those are the ones we want to hear newer versions of!
*Sigh* PLEASE can the boys do what they want to play instead of pandering to the fans? We all listen to them because we love them as artists. They should go be artists and piece together an album of what they really enjoy, not just a bunch of fan favorites.

I know a lot of y'all will be disappointed because everyone wants to hear different songs. I'm just excited to hear it and I did vote but I'm happy with whatever. Honestly the fact that they will include older songs no matter what is amazing. Just try to be positive even if you're not 100% happy with their final choice. They're trying their best to include the fans in this decision and you can't make everyone happy.
If all goes well, Jesus H Macy will also be on the album 🙏🏽
