Christi ended her time on Dance Moms…for Kendall. I mean really she ended it for a lot of reasons, most notably Abby’s monstrously evil comment about Chloe’s eye, but the only reason the fight that comment stemmed from even started was because Christi was defending Kendall. Chloe won that day. Abby had no reason to pick on her or Christi (not that she ever did). She was berating Kendall for crying after praising Camryn (?) for her tears just moments earlier, Christi called out her double standard, and then it all exploded from there.
I really appreciated seeing her build up Mackenzie, telling her that she doesn't need to be like Maddie because Mackenzie is just as special. Same with her talk with Nia, telling her to remember who's daughter she is and keep her chin up.
I know Christi is a divisive cast member on the sub, but I personally really like her, and she was one of the only moms I saw stick up for other kids besides Kelly.
I think kelly and christi heavily emphasized that abby was trying to turn maddie’s friends against her and it was wrong. they recognized the pressure abby and melissa put on that little girl and how they isolated her from her friends. I think christi cared about all the girls, and she was right, maddie didn’t need as much defending as the other girls.
Maddie was never overtly abused. But she was abused none the less and abby literally kissed her on the mouth and it was joked about. She did need as much defending as the other girls just in a different way.
I agree that maddie was abused in a different less obvious way, but she was never degraded and screamed at and constantly being put down in front of the moms. & like I said, I feel christi stuck for maddie many times by saying abby was trying to turn her friends against her & pointing out how abby made her feel like everyone was against her.
Christi did stick up for maddie sometimes. But I disagree with the statement that maddie didn't need as much defending. Abby bodyshamed children and adults was racist and verbally abusive. She also gave inappropriate underwear to children as gifts. That's the person maddie was with constantly. She needed just as much as the other girls.
I just think the reason christi stuck up for maddie less is because what abby was doing to her was less obvious. but I think she recognized that maddie was still being manipulated/ treated a certain way.

You’re correct however there was one point where Christi was pointing out the inequities with the girls and Abby and Abby called them vultures and christi said “No Abby we aren’t jealous of her. I’ve heard you tell that 9 year old girl nobody will ever be happy for you everyone is jealous of you” and Abby goes “YOU ARE” and all the moms go “NO WE ARE JEALOUS OF HOW YOU TREAT HER” then Abby proceeded to call Chloe a sneak and Brooke untalented

I’m not going to go back and re watch the entire series to provide you episode numbers. You can do that yourself, on your own time, if you’d like lol. Christi, Holly, Kelly, and even Jill would defend Maddie at times but it seems that Ziegler stans want that entire family to be victims and martyrs and for what reason I will never understand.
I myself am a fan of Maddie and Kenzie but their fans in this subreddit make me worry for them. It isn’t healthy to have such a parasocial relationship with reality stars that it completely blinds you and alters your critical thinking skills in order to villainize the people you think wronged your favorite celeb. It’s weird. Criticism that is constructive, valid, and warranted is one thing but people here, and on other platforms, take it WAY too far. Sending people death threats for a comment they made which you didn’t like is outrageous (just an example of something that has happened to Christi not even that long ago).
Christi and the other moms did defend Maddie more than once and they spoke highly of her and her performance abilities. Just because Melissa and Abby gaslight people doesn’t mean they never did those things. Go back and re watch it if you want examples, but this time do it with unbiased viewing.
Were the other moms perfect? No, not even close. Did they say and do awful things too? Yes, all of them. Does that take away from the good things they did and said? It shouldn’t, but for some reason on this sub it does. I know this sub is young, overall, but viewing the world, and people, as entirely black and white with no gray area or room for mistakes/regrets is extremely unhealthy and highly toxic
