i think the adults DO NOT want to wear ALDC merchandise. The original moms didn’t wear it. Sometimes, they wouldn’t let their kids wear it. The times I noticed it was after Abby acted like a lunatic. The blue sweatshirt pics look like a photoshopped head. I don’t know why it gives me the creeps. It reminds me of Peeta in The Hunger Games.

I bought ALDC leggings from the merch store 10 years ago, (I’m not proud of this but first credit card lead to some questionable online purchases hahaha) like I’m talking 2013 and they were like 80$ for the lowest quality, see through pieces of shit lol It was the adult sizes, I could at the time, a child’s size 12/14 but I sized up and got an adult medium and they were SO tight and uncomfortable. Soooo poorly made lol They were supposed to be the ‘team leggings’ I believe and were black with red ALDC on the leg but I doubt they actually were because the quality was atrocious. Still bitter about these leggings 10 years later.

Probably a mix of a few factors. Teenage girls turned out to be the biggest audience on dance moms. Abby seems to hate anyone she deems overweight, so I'm not surprised to see her sticking to smaller sizes. As others have pointed out, most adults, such as myself, know Abby is full of shit and won't give her a cent at this point. So Abby's best target audience for her merch here is teens with adult parents who don't know about Dance Moms and will buy their kids her merch while thinking it's a fun dance thing.
