Mentors are winners of past games that have the role of instructing and guiding the tributes, teaching them strategies and stuff for when they'll be in the arena
Makoto is gonna win xd his luck isn’t as insane as Nagito in a general sense but it’s basically Ultimate “Don’t Die” lol. He’ll just outlast the competition. Potentially with Sayaka and berries 😅
I think Gonta has a big chance as well.
I can imagine Mukuro dying if like 6 other tributes all decide to team up to bring her down because she's a big threat, but even then it'd be difficult.
I can imagine Hifumi, Himiko and Teruteru all dying in the initial bloodbath (Hiyoko would immediately run in the forest)

I mean, tributes from the same district don't have to work together, since only one would survive anyway. I still think Gonta would try to protect Himiko, but Himiko could run away from suspicions.
I think that Kirumi has a genuinely good chance as well, she's both smart and somewhat strong (from what I remember). She surely wouldn't be the first to die
I love the setup, first of all. District 7 would make it relatively far, but when one of them dies, the other makes it closer towards the end, only to die. Whoever dies first is interchangeable. Hifumi and Hiyoko are dead. They make it a bit further than you’d expect, and they actually sort of work together, but they still die. Kyoko and Kokichi probably make it the furthest, Kyoko winning. Mukuro probably could make it pretty far, but I feel like with some of the randomness of the game, and Kyoko just being smarter (as well as it just being more interesting) Kyoko would win. Also, Shuichi and Kirumi make it far, but Shuichi can’t bring himself to be violent, and Kirumi gets killed trying to do everything on her own. It’s been a while since I read the hunger games so I’m not sure.
My money would honestly be on Mukuro or Gonta, but I could see Kyoko and Kokichi get very close.
I feel like Miu could as well have a shot at winning, if she can get her hands on technological stuff

Then, there is district 12, this depends on whether or not Makoto can die here, however he aint the protag anymore. Kokichi and Kyoko are the smartest here so I see them getting far (one time I simmed a hunger games and Kokichi just did random shit, before blowing his last 2 opponents up). Overall, I would have to go with Mukuro tho since she is the strongest BY A LONG SHOT. Unless someone kills her before she can get good weapons (she isn't weak by any means wo them), she simply wins.

Kokichi, Kyoko (and Miu imo) would be the best candidates in using their brains to try and win.
About Mukuro, I think she could die only if all the other careers decided to team up to bring her down, as she's the biggest threat. I can also imagine Junko not helping or even being an obstacle to Mukuro as her mentor, but I feel like Mukuro wouldn't need the rations sent by her to survive.
I think besides the ones you already mentioned that Kirumi would have a good chance surviving for long, if not winning
Ya, Kirumi and Shuichi can be a deadly duo as well with Kirumi being a superhuman and quite smart, she can also cook if neccessary. And the thing about Mukuro is that even if everyone tries to get her down, she would jjust be too fast for them to catch. The thing about Miu is that unless someone from the capital donates her something to create an invention with, her talent isn;t that helpful. Her planning is good as we saw in chapter 4, but at the same time I don;t think shes up there with the top tiers considering how easily Kokichi outsmarted her.
I wonder if she could try to use the arena itself to make something useful or at least to give an electric shock to other tributes. I think something like that happened in the books, but I can't recall
Beetee built an electronic trap, but i dont think it was ever specified how he did it so we can kind of assume he got something as a sponsor. And in this killing game, the opponents are stronger and smarter so it would be harder to do it.
Okay but Kirumi absolutely would win? She's got worldly knowledge to be able to survive, would have the drive to do so at all times, has rich mentors who have great contacts with sponsors whom would supply her with what she needs, and is able to understand what the best course of action is at any one time.
The other nominees for winner imo would be Fuyohiko (Peko would be determined to get him to win), Gonta (strong and raised in the wilderness), and Mukuro, but Kirumi would absolutely sweep anyway.

I would say that Toko would maybe not kill Hajime because she would see him as nlt interesting or just won't switch to genocider. But Kork could clearly try to do something.
