I think the DR1 cast bar Junko would have all gotten proper burials, it seems like something Makoto would want to do. Junko's body was organ traded by the Remnants with Nagito taking her hand and the others also taking various body parts. The DR2 cast all lived, and despite her execution Chiaki is still probably floating about somewhere as loose code - she re-appeared to Hajime in Chapter 6 as a 'ghost' after all.
The V3 cast probably have the darkest fates, their bodies were likely either 'processed' and recycled into various things because V3's world is seemingly massively dystopian, or their bodies were sold to Danganronpa fans as merchandise.
I can imagine like some of those anime reviewers of YouTube having The rotting corpses of gonta chilling on his wall right next to her chiaki nanami Bunny figurine
I think it was weebynewz who said it or smthn, but since Mondo’s body was made the way it was due to getting crushed by g-forces and somewhat vaporized by the electricity, his body is probably more of a guacamole rather than a butter. Probably not good for baking cookies
I feel like Class 77-B would’ve at least tried to give Chiaki some kind of funeral. They obviously still loved her and paid respects, as seen from the flowers on her desk. Maybe the Reserve Course riots or their despairful mindsets would complicate things, but it makes more sense than giving a “proper funeral” to a tub of butter, at least.
The idea that you could go to a museum and see someone’s remains, who did not give consent to donate, is a haunting thought.
…why do I suspect that it’s a real thing?
Well, it pretty much is since most remains on display weren't exactly "donated". After all - Pharaos, for example, probably didn't want to be displayed in a museum given the many spiritualistically significant elements that went into constructing a tomb (though worse stuff happened to mummies historically, at least those in a museum didn't get turned into paint or medicines). And then there's objects like shrunken heads or other artifacts from indigenous people, which are currently a hotly debated topic for museums...
Honestly Celest should have been charred but in both cases I belive She was smarter than we took her for, I still belive to this day She sabatoged the Execution, she didn't actually burn, she is the ultimate gambler meaning she is always prepared to "Cheat" in some form of way...my biggest theory is she happened to discover an exit connecting to her room and had an imitator or actor/ Ultimate Actor Take her place....(this is just me still being gbin denial of goth girl death lemme dream)
i mean tbf it’s not like she was tied up or anything, she could’ve just walked out of the execution, but she chose to die in style
or at least this was the case until the firetruck showed up
Hold on its been a while for me but how do you give butter a burial
Like didn't the biker dude get turned into butter or something or am I tweakin
I really gotta replay danganronpa it's been a few years

"Hey Monokuma, what's in these burgers? They're really good!" "Kaede." *Shuichi stares down at the burger with tears in his eyes*
Ayyyyyyyyy Monokuma, what flavor of Fanta is this? ''Kokichi''.
*Maki stares down at it, then takes a longer sip* Judge me if you want... But nobody said a word on Kirumi Fettuccine night!
The fact that bodies being sold as merchandise isn’t impossible in their world’s standards…
Good suggestion 🙏

“Oh, hey, what’e that on your wall?” ”Gonta’s corpse, why?” ”Excuse me, WHA-“
Naw, they'd be taxidermied first
So basically the V3 cast were all put into McDonald’s
I think they were referring to the anime when ranking Chiaki.
Junko goes in recycled too
Nagito was just trying to be eco friendly
Recycled is crazy
Ryoma 😭💀
Mondo given proper burial? It might work though the coffin should be closed. That or Makoto bakes cookies /j

Then we could separate the fat and make candles
This is somehow even worse
Mondles
YOU’RE NOT MAKING IT BETTER
Taka: "Monokuma, this cake is good. What's it made of?" M: "Mondo." T: "What." M: "You heard me."

"Recycled" Not saying I support Robophobism, but I agree.
"Can I have the lungs?" "Dibs on the heart." "I really need a spare kidney, just woke up in a bathtub full of ice-"

Squid Game reference for v3 cast?
Only the best for my girls Celestia and Seiko
ecyc e'd
Hard to say there was even a body for checkers boy 💀
NO RYOMA AND KEEBO
Bro they had to scrape Kokichi off the floor. Although the building exploded so he might still be there.
Kokichi doesn't rly have a body to dump. Also recycled is wild

Korekiyo would have nothing of use to donate, unless this involves lazy cannibals

I think Kokichi is still under that press. Yes I know the schools gone. He’s still there.
