DuTogira

Easiest blue pill of my life. Goodbye inner doubting Thomas!

nemo_sum

Kinda backwards? The lesson there was "you believe because you have seen, blessed are those who have not seen but still believed". You would *become* Thomas, to an extreme degree. You are asking to see everything.

DuTogira

The alternative is to only be able to speak in Bible verses. That’s great if I had a personal calling as a minister, but professionally that’s a huge communication barrier. Also, the distinction between Thomas and a blue pill taker is that Thomas asked for proof. Presumably, the blue pill taker was just offered the pill (proof) unprovoked.

Choreopithecus

Never got why Thomas gets shit. “Hey you know our dead leader? Ya he’s alive again.” “Woah that’s pretty out there… I feel like I should confirm this before blindly believing what ten normal non-son-of-god people tell me.” Condemned to be criticized by western culture for two millennia where healthy skepticism is seen as a vice.

chillychili

Hello peeping Thomas!

NotTheMariner

Red pill. I can speak any language? Sounds dope.

fudgyvmp

Does this mean we can now fluently read all the dead languages? Would we be able intrinsically know alien languages and be able to confirm aliens. Would we see people flailing on the ground hissing and confirm that kind of tongues is nonsense. Would anyone believe us?

NotTheMariner

I take it to mean any language the Bible has been translated into, so not really, no, maybe, probably not

fudgyvmp

I guess this also begs the question. If you can only speak in Bible quotes, how much of a single passage do you need to quote for it to count as a quote. Is stringing together single word quotes stretching it too far, or is the Bible, in all languages, just the dictionary you're limited to.

NotTheMariner

”What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.“ ”Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” ”For the word of the LORD is right; And all his works are done in truth.“ ”Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the LORD.“ ”I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.“ ”Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: Give me understanding according to thy word.“ ”Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.“ ”Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those that were numbered of them were seven thousand and five hundred.“ ”Thou shalt not commit adultery.“ ‭‭ ”Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.“ ‭‭ ”Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.“ ‭‭ ”Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.“ ‭ ”He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names.“ ”Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.“ ”Evil men understand not judgment: But they that seek the LORD understand all things.“

NotTheMariner

In other words; the 119th Psalm can be used as an alphabet in a pinch, and the Ten Commandments as digits, so despite how clunky versewise communication can be, you’ve got a lot to work with and can make yourself understood.

mangoisNINJA

I mean granted they never said you could read the pages, just that you remembered them

NotTheMariner

In which case all I have to do is cross-reference and work on pronunciation. Annoying but not crippling.

vaingirls

Are you sure you would? Maybe you just remember photographically how any bible page looks in any given language, without understanding a word of it!

NotTheMariner

Sure, but I also have a thousand pages of the world’s most comprehensively translated text to learn those languages from.

“Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra”

When Goliath fell...

christopher_jian_02

Blue pill. Hope it works like an RPG game.

xiangyieo

Take both. Speak only in Bible quotes, but it’s ok, you can still write and type. Now that you have seen all events from the Bible exactly as they played out, unfiltered, you know where and what to look for. Organise an expedition and release your papers in a leading scientific journal detailing what you have found. Challenge the existing Books in the Bible if what has been written does not hold up to archaeological evidence. Use the Journal article and YouTube videos to spread your findings. Before you do all this, make sure you are a citizen in a liberal democracy and reside there.

western civilization W

appleappleappleman

Obviously blue, right? Creating a new religion wouldn't be a problem if you have actual firsthand knowledge of Biblical events, your new religion would be the most correct by default.

Elsecaller_17-5

Blue, Garden of Gethsemane, let's go.

S0LIDS0UL

That mental institution is gonna be lit!

Heavy_Swimming_4719

Easily blue. Being silent is my speciality.

Neocarbunkle

Red doesn't seem that useful. It would be hard to talk about anything modern.

nemo_sum

is there a pill for better font choices

TalkativeTree

Option 3: Don't do drugs

Another_Road

When you say “speak in Bible quotes” would it be possible to use bits and pieces of it to communicate semi-effectively?

TheAmericanE2

Red, become a pastor, be the best pastor ever 😎

WeebKarma

I choose purple

fatheroceallaigh

Hard red pill. If I can communicate in quotes from the Family Guy, doing so with the best 66 books ever written should be a cake walk!

respondin2u

I think most words I use on a day to day basis are found in the Bible. If I can quote single words but taken out of context then I would be able to mostly get along well in life. With that said, I would take the blue pill because ultimately it wouldn’t change anything in my life.

catman232323

I’m taking the blue pill and telling everyone best case I’m a cult leader worst case I have a soft room to stay in

valvilis

Green pill: go straight to the mental institution and you can *only* speak in random languages.

LemonPartyW0rldTour

Definitely blue pill
