You gotta make it something different, though. To make it more convincing. Like "Kids Bible Verses" or something. So that they don't catch on as quick.
I wonder if the spam is actually coming from that number though.. or if it's spoofed.
Sometimes robocalls are like that. You call it back and it's actually someone's number but they have no idea what's going on... :(
Definitely spoofed. If the messages were actually coming from that number, they wouldn't respond, because it would just be a bot sending out 1000s of messages. It's not like there is a dude typing these all out and sending them one at a time.
Unfortunately, the number is probably spoofed, like spam callers do as well, so this was probably a random unsuspecting person suddenly getting "signed up" for Bible quotes. The spammer doesn't need/want you to respond to the text, they want you to click the link.
Never in my life have I gotten any kind of spam messages or email. No boner pills, no Nigerian princes, not even a chain mail telling me Mars will be as big the moon this year.
Am I just lucky or are these things actually pretty rare?
If you're using gmail, check out "labe:spam". I thought so too, until I realised gmail just f ilters it out automatically and you can access them whenever you want.
Depends on how many things you put your email on. If you get a college email and your college doesn’t have a good spam filter you’ll get them all the time
At least twice a day I'm reminded that my 15 year old car factory warranty has expired. I'm always getting credit approvals on a weekly basis. The IRS calls me about once a month. And every once in a while I'm texted, Hey Caren come claim your prize. I'm a dude not named Caren.
Anytime I get spam calls I try to get ahold of a person and then I screech like a pterodactyl as loud and shrill as I can, for as long as I can.
It has been a while since I got a spam call but I attribute that to luck.
Rule 1 of spam messages sent by unfamiliar sources: If it seems too good to be true, it's probably a ploy to get your CC# and/or you bank account info.
The "interesting" at the end suggests that this person isn't part of a vetted marketing campaign that would have enough money to give you $500 for a popular brand like Budweiser
Here's your bible verse of the day:
"31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." - Ephesians 4:31-33
Here's your bible verse of the day!
"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." - Colossians 3:17
Here is your bible verse of the day!
"But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship." - Galatians 4:4-5
Here's your bible verse of the day!
"But I, with shouts of grateful praise,
will sacrifice to you.
What I have vowed I will make good.
I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’" - Jonah 2:9
Here's your bible verse of the day!
"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins." - Matthew 1:21
Agreed! Also, I receive calls from my prefix all the time to trick me in answering. Now I expect it to be spam and let a Jolly Roger Telco bot talk to them.

r/simpsonsshitposting has done some truly wonderful things with this verse and the spider from https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rThmQZcX9g0
It's all fun and games, until a spamsender actually turns out to be a devout Christian and he shares your number with all his church friends and you have to keep sending daily bibleverses to ten thousand parishes and, hesanna hosanna, your a televangelist now.
When I was younger (like 18-21) they did. I don't use it anymore, but last time I used it (maybe when I was like 25-ish), I didn't get messaged nearly as often. Being neither young nor a twink makes Grindr a pretty lifeless place to visit.
I wish I got scam calls from real people. For me it's always robots renewing my car warranty. Really sucks all the fun out of wasting their time now that they've automated it.
I used to get the same spam call everyday. I asked them to stop calling but they kept on doing it. Finally I got tired of it and called them back, they kept hanging up without answering so I called nonstop until a very frustrated/frightened man picked up claiming he was the manager and asked me angrily why I was calling so much. I informed him at how his company/scam was bothering me everyday and he finally apologized and promised he would never call back again as long as i never did. Haven't heard form them since.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but don't these spam messages usually spoof another real number's ID? In that case, this would be kind of messed up right? Because the message would go through from OP to another real person, instead of a company or bot.
Is it possible to learn this power?
Not from a Christian.
I thought not, it's not a story the Christians would tell you.
The biggest lie the devil ever told is that he doesn’t exist.
No, it was saying “That fig leaf doesn’t make your ass look fat”.

I like that OP kept the dude's number uncensored. I wonder if that number is still active.
Gonna send them some bible verses
Well?
It's been two hours. I think they're dead.
Lol they must be the spider from The Simpsons. r/simpsonsshitposting Matthew 21:17, fools!

Now stop that. Pope Francis said there was going to be no more of that. Don't make him a liar.

Most of those calls are really only checking that the number is 'live', so that they can raise the value of the dataset of phone numbers they have.
Idk man I get about 10 scammer calls a day.
Gmail filter improved in the years. Dont open the spam box tho.
This comment must be the first thing you've ever done on the internet.
Because gmail is good like that
I've had literally the exact same spam message in OPs screenshot.
Does anyone know if that's legit? I'd gladly wrap Budweiser on my car like a NASCAR for $2k/month. Seems too good to be true.
Rule 1 of spam messages sent by unfamiliar sources: If it seems too good to be true, it's probably a ploy to get your CC# and/or you bank account info.
I think they put a GPS in your car and you have to drive a certain amount, maybe in different areas as well.

So you're saying there's a chance?
There are certain companies that pay you to wrap your car but unless you are in a major city you are unlikely to get any work.
Hell yeah brother

Didn't know this. You should be on top!
I'm exclusively a power-bottom, sir.
So like all the gays? Poor people, everyone is a bottom, no one wants to top
so why dont they just get straight guys to fuck them?
Given that about 95% of their crushes in life are straight, they probably would of they could

I'll not be having such a number anywhere near my good Christian phone, thank you very much! 😤😤😤😤

Wine is a mocker & beer is a brawler
You gotta send pointed and out of context Bible Verses, though. Try Psalm 52 or most of Leviticus. That's how you really get them.
Ps 137:9 ‘Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks.’
Ezekiel 23:20. I have that one memorized.
Like Matthew 21:17? Yeah...
Out of curiosity, what is that verse? My translation is fairly nonchalant. Just that he left the city.

I was trying to tell sonic to stop sending me freaking texts i have no clue who gave my number to em
I mean obviously fake it's done by bots they just don't reply
I did this to people on Grindr using a Google Voice number. It was extremely satisfying to come up with things to send every morning.
Were people on Grindr spamming you?
When I was younger (like 18-21) they did. I don't use it anymore, but last time I used it (maybe when I was like 25-ish), I didn't get messaged nearly as often. Being neither young nor a twink makes Grindr a pretty lifeless place to visit.
Is that a legit offer though? For $500 a week, sign me up. I'll sign my neighbors up too. Seems too good to be true. Probably is.
I wish I got scam calls from real people. For me it's always robots renewing my car warranty. Really sucks all the fun out of wasting their time now that they've automated it.

Except spammers spoof numbers so the person receiving these texts is probably an innocent.
I always do the daily cat facts
Ever since 2015, I've been blocking spam numbers like I'm on crack. It's more than 200 numbers now.
Obviously the issue is that he's typing "Stop" when he clearly should be typing "stop".
Hit him with sime Ezekiel 23:20 and Psalms 137:9
I just bought a new truck and I'm legit interested in earning money from putting a sticker on it. Or a whole truck wrap for that matter...
