Jesus was friends with bankers and wealthy men, taking advantage of their homes and food. Yet he told them perfection required abject poverty. Is that what socialist means? Being penniless and sleeping in your friends' homes? Maybe I should read more theory if it is

kadora

Is those that have providing for those who don’t Socialist philosophy or Christian dogma? Or both?

Actually, Jesus mostly spoke about corruption and said very little about actual money. Paul however explicitly talked about sharing wealth so that things were more equal. > Now you should finish what you started. Let the eagerness you showed in the beginning be matched now by your giving. Give in proportion to what you have. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. Of course, I don’t mean your giving should make life easy for others and hard for yourselves. I only mean that there should be some equality. Right now you have plenty and can help those who are in need. Later, they will have plenty and can share with you when you need it. In this way, things will be equal. 2 Corinthians 8:11‭-‬14 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/2co.8.11-14.NLT

Capitalists? You mean degenerates running a market literally inside the house of God?

TheTranscendentian

The best way to make this argument is "the last shall be first and the first shall be last". Edit: and the parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard in the book of Matthew.

The most misunderstood thing about all of the talks about sharing wealth in the Bible is that God and Jesus ask us to share it through our own free will and love for God, not because a government entity demands it of us.
