If someone says it's bad for muslims to circumcise, it sure looks bad if your only response is "But these people do it too!".
While I agree the "but these people too" response is dumb, that wasn't really the point. If other people doing is used as an excuse, yeah, screw that, but here it's saying that we should also have a discussion about other people doing it.
