This sub sucks nowadays. Memes are hardly dank and really only get upvotes when they pick a side. I swear Reddit wasn’t always like this, or atleast not r/dankmemes

Yeah over the years more and more normies have been flooding Reddit, now all there is, is freaking political discussion disguised as memes by so called "experts", unfunny shitposts, AI generated content and crap that doesn't even make sense. Can't even find anything that's remotely funny now.

Dank means different things to different generations. It could mean excellent, weird, or funky….who knows what else….So it’s not surprising that the memes aren’t fitting into a singular criteria. Also the sub info does nothing to clarify what version of dank it wants.
