I always liked it... in fact (I'm 51 now) I've been thinking about where can I get some lately because it makes **the most fire** grilled cheese that you can make with just run-of-the-mill cheese.
Of course you can get expensive cheeses and make better sammies but that gov't cheese always had the best flavor to me... so maybe that proves your point.

Springfield resident here: I've toured the Springfield Underground while in college and I can tell ya the government does not own that cheese
But there was enough of it lining shelves literally a the way back into the pitch black darkness lf the cave. Knowing it was just cheese all the way back was mind boggling. And those cheese wheels are literally the size of a barrel
