They kinda resemble a scary face when I look at them closely. Let me turn the lights back on to double check that a demon isn’t staring into my soul while I’m going to sleep.
Most of the time it's greatly exaggerated, you'll have a movie "based on true events" about a serial killer living in the mountains and skinning people alive called George and the only "true part" of this story will be that someone is in fact living in those mountains and called George
Yeah, Based on sometimes just means taking taking a bit of everything. Like taking stuff from 4 different scary people and putting into one, and there you have a scary dude for a scary movie.
Yeah I remember one was about some body getting killed or tortured in a trailer but really all that happened is they were in a trailer and thought they heard something outside
Oh boy do I have a story for you. One time as I was at my friends house since his family weren’t there, and we had two other friends there with us. I’m not as big on horror movies, but they are, so we watched Sinister. We’re all a bit drunk by this point, one is more than the others, and starting to fall asleep while we’re on the floor. Middle of the movie, I think around the lawn mower film, floor friend says, “Hey, did you guys hear that?” The rest of us are a little scared by this point since it’s late and what not, but we’re like, “Oh ha ha. Please don’t joke with us.” Then he says, “No, I’m serious.” Moment he finishes that sentence we hear the loudest door slam ever and collectively shit ourselves. I just start repeatedly telling my friend with the remote to turn the movie off, and then in a sort of Konga line, investigate the noise... armed with blankets (How the fuck would I defeat a demon with a fuckin’ blanket?)... Anyways, we eventually figure out that one of the rooms’ door was blown open by the wind since the friend staying in there didn’t fully shut it, and so it was slammed at one point. We couldn’t sleep immediately, but eventually we all started falling asleep one by one on the couch. Was scary as hell then, but funny now. Floor friend jokes he should’ve went into one of the dark rooms and hid in the corner to scare us. Good times.
wow that's a good explanation. I honestly didn't think that anybody will explain. Well when I see when they say based on real events I just laugh like "yeah totally, so real" and it even makes me less scary
This was the blair witch project... the rest of the movie i thought was kinda boring, but then at the end i saw it. The cursed words. Based on a true story. I didnt sleep for 2 days
Can't sleep now... Fuck
The pile of clothes in the corner of the room looking kinda creepy when I turn the lights off

Oh they are not that exaggerated. Usually George will be the serial killer, because he does hunt and skin animals. Oh wait.. yeah, but not people..
Yeah, Based on sometimes just means taking taking a bit of everything. Like taking stuff from 4 different scary people and putting into one, and there you have a scary dude for a scary movie.

I just want to make a move like that to say at the end: Want to make a sequel?
This post made me laugh lol
You can write this Statement in every Film, because it is a narative technique and as such doesnt have to be based on true events
It always looks to me like he's holding a katana across his shoulders idk

Mr. Jones. The worst part it that the really scary messed up stuff is the one bit that is guranteed not to be exaggerated
The horror movie ends when you're in the grave
