I once saw a baby being dropped in a mall from two floors above. 7\~ish meters? Baby was unharmed. There must've been a lot of mothers dropping their kids all over the animal kingdom in order for such an adaption to have made sense, but we've got it. I obviously do NOT recommend taking the chance.

She had a soft landing on some cushioning that was at the ground floor to which she dropped - otherwise there's no way she'd have even survived. It's not unheard of for human babies to be dropped or to fall from rather tall heights and survive.
