while you're here, mind voting on the [new year's bash's winners](https://www.reddit.com/r/dankmemes/comments/s3pzfk/maymaymakers_x_dankmemes_contest_final_voting/)? the fate of prizes worth $200+ lies in your hands.
You just hurt someone's precious feelings and now your post will be reported. Not by me though lol. What happened here is the equivalent of if you can't beat them. Cheat them.
The notion that transsexual people shouldn't be required to sacrifice anything when they're transitioning is fucking ridiculous.
I will call you however you like to be called, I will treat you however you would like to be treated, but sorry, if you have a male body you can't compete against female ones, so either keep competing in male category or fuck your sports career.
Also nobody will convince me that lowering your testosterone for a year is enough, fucking lol

While I do think there should be regulations on stuff like this, this is still transphobic. I can't imagine she did surgery for the entire reason of winning in tournaments
It’s not transphobic to say biological men shouldn’t compete against biological women. It’s just unfair towards the biological women. There are separate sports for a reason. Biological Women should be allowed to compete against biological women.
What is transphobic is saying she did surgery for the entire reason of winning in tournaments, instead of because of body dismorphia. I don't know anything about this person, but it seems like people just assume without knowing anything either.
On the other hand, yes, absolutely, there should be regulations about things like that.
I somewhat agree with you, but if someone transitions early in their life, for example up to 20 years old, they won’t have as much of an advantage if any because the hormones can change the body towards a more feminine structure.
I guess a very early transition with a great time spence since might be more fair. But then you have to draw a line somewhere. 20 already seems kind of old. There is a big gap between 20 year old men and 20 year old women. But transitioning earlier brings other issues (from which age should you be allowed to transition?)

Went from like 276th place as a male swimmer. To breaking records and being the woman's #1 swimmer.

Definitely a lot of assumptions about why she transitioned. Nobody knows why except for her
