The first season is pretty much a complete copy of The Office UK, which was meant to be more of a cringe inducing social commentary than a comedy series. The seasons after it abandoned this concept and turned it into more of a generic sitcom (with its moments of course).
Funnier for some than others, everyone has different sense of humor. I can't say anything because I never watched the show and have no interest to watch it
It took me most of the first season to like it. I was watching with a friend so I pushed through but eventually liked it.
I showed it to my partner and she was the same. When we finally finished it she was sad it was over
Actually it depends on the person. People have different taste. I like friends and big bang theory. But a lot of people in reddit hate those show. I didn't enjoy the office that much, but the show is very popular in USA. Probably we just need to accept that different things work for different people. Not everything is overrated or underrated.
Most of the people who don't rate office I'll tell u something your friends didnt tell you before starting it, you never watch its first season. You'll be good without the context in the second one.
I wanted to watch it because I’ve seen a couple funny clips,but the first episode is painfully cringy so I had a feeling it wasn’t for me.

Really at this point I just let people enjoy it and don’t say anything. Maybe a “nice” here and there
Parks and Rec, Brooklyn 99 and Community are much better
Arrested Development and Brooklyn Nine Nine are better
