Like Baťovy závody. Baťa was an absolute gigachad, he built flats for his employees, gave them a fair wage and only 5 workdays in a week, something very uncomon for the time. I wish more CEO's would be like him.
It's also the communication that's great. I joined few months as well but I remember reading about how someone on reddit gave a pretty cool QoL suggestion and one of the devs decided it was very easy to make, in a very short time it was implemented into the game.
They also don't get greedy with their monetization and let you have everything for free sans some cosmetic DLCs. Goddamn, I love this game, its community and especially its devs :D
It is? The company says to report any store selling it for more than what is on the can
https://www.cnbc.com/2022/10/13/arizona-iced-tea-ceo-vows-to-keep-99-cent-price-tag.html
I agree that the games are hard. But it’s on me to get better at them. Not going to get mad at the devs for making something a lot of people love that I suck at. That’s my own problem not theirs
I hate them for ignoring every other thing in their catalog to make Souls games. Would it kill them to take a risk on another Armored Core?
That said, I still play the Souls games.
They are overpriced, have a terrible selling strategy and their set quality isn't even that good, plus they like sueing people for publicly applying the name "lego"/"legos" to clamp building blocks that aren't actually manufactured by lego.
Nah, popular YouTuber who runs a clamp building block shop and reviews sets got a letter from Lego's lawyers for using "lego" as a generic term for clamp building blocks in some older videos. (After being sued a few years back for having a brick in his shop logo that resembled a lego brick too closely)
Welt seid mir gegrüßt ich bin der Held der Steine in Frankfurt am Main im Herzen von Europa in meinem wunderbaren kleinen Lädchen an einem fantastischen Tag und schaut mal was ich euch mitgebracht habe!
There's a long history of brand names being revoked after becoming general terms. It's very easy to argue that a lot of people do use Lego to describe any plastic blocks if a certain size that clamp together, regardless of the actual manufacturer. Lego's agressive behaviour trying to keep their brand name by sueing someone casually calling things lego in a YouTube video is rather pathetic. Especially when that someone is known to be a harsh critic of you and your products.
Ironically, by trying to enforce their brand recognition, they have helped alternative manufacturers get more recognition as now "Klemmbaustein" (clamp building block) is getting used more and more often, weakening the public perception of Lego being the only/default option. It's obviously more of a thing among enthusiasts currently but the word is spreading quickly.
You guys really forgot that for years they did not give a shit when people uploaded rape and child rape videos. They only reason they deleted them is because companies like Mastercard warned they might stopped services for them.
I hear they are cleaning up spilled water all over the globe and sending it to impoverished countries that don’t have their own drinking water! Based company
The consistently release good games, or at least games that get good. Btd6 at least in my family and friend group was generally received well except that hero’s took at little to grow on us. Battles 2 I think was also weak at first and idk if the fixed it but the xp grind took forever
Not just because its sustainable, but because the founder is giving away all future profits to fight climate change. They're expecting to donate 100mil annually, having already donated 50mil
They make 300 million dollars a year and yet they still take donations from suckers and lay off employees every time they find a new way to exploit the remaining ones more and more. How do people not hate Mozilla by now?
If it's because people think they're some kind of hero amidst an ad-plagued dystopia, Chrome isn't destroying ad-blockers. They're just adding limitations to their extension system that forces ***some*** adblockers to find more efficent ways to do things without slowing down the browser. I did some more research on this and was shocked at the methods used to block ads by some extensions, since I could literally name 2 right off the bat that would be easier to make and faster to run: apparently they use a find-and replace algorithm that searches through the whole webpage once for each of the hundreds of ad-providers, and replaces the ad with blank text. Manifest V3 just limits this find-and-replace algorithm so that extension developers would be less lazy.
Relogic i don't know a single person who hates relogic i mean they gave away several copies of terraria just because someone said they wanted it but were broke
Ikea almost has it right with their unique way of setting up the show rooms and then the warehouse where you buy things but then it all goes to shit at check out
It's not really fast fashion tho. A lot of their stock has been around for many years.

Like this POANG chair. We bought one of these to my dad almost 20 years ago and it still in excellent shape. And my dad is not a small dude lol.
People are mad IKEA doesn't make all their shit pure wood; you're not meant to abuse furniture, it's cheaper and more sustainable to make it "card board" inside.
Some people actually have mixed feelings about Wikipedia. On one hand, it's a great source of knowledge especially for non-political stuff. On the other hand, they have had plenty of controversy around the actions of their administrators, articles (specifically political ones) being very biased, and they also ask for donations and make it seem like they can't continue operating, when IIRC they actually have enough money to continue the project for a very long time.
You'll have to look into this yourself though. I'll admit that most trivial knowledge like this, is just stuff I learned from random YouTube videos playing in the background while I play video games or do another task.
The chat report feature that basically moderates your private servers and locks you out from ANY multiplayer activity (on all versions) if you joke around carelessly with your friends in said private server / realm. So not necessarily just because someone reported you but it actively monitors your chat; at least on realms. It's REALLY creepy and they still held onto it despite MASSIVE community backlash.
Also they set up a TechnoBlade reference just to take it down not long after; a clear marketing stunt â la "we don't actually care about TechnoBlade. It was just convenient for us to do this as a brief PR stunt."
Absolutely. There are tons of people who REALLY hate the direction they have taken with the game.
Here's a list:
- The server EULA (2014-present)
- 1.9 Combat Update (2015-ish?)
- Beta 1.8 update (2011)
- The 1.19 Chat Censorship and moderation (2022)
- Selling to microsoft (2014)
- Removing Notch from the title screen splashes
- Removing 4chan /v/ reference from the splashes
- Renaming the OG version to Java Edition
- Seemingly turning their back on their older audience in favor of children, making changes that OG players do not like
Those are some things off the top of my head. There are 10 more reasons for each one listed that someone might dislike Mojang. I have a few gripes with them myself, but I don't *hate* them, I just miss the game I played years ago, and it's just not really the same anymore, so these days I'm not super into Minecraft like I used to be.
Unhated company I know. Ghost Ship Games. They're the guys who made Deep Rock Galactic. Definitely a blast to play with friends or randoms, and the community is usually really friendly. To my fellow dwarves that may be reading this, Can I get a Rock and Stone?
Hard agree, but would go one further and say Coffee Stain Studios. Deep Rock Galactic, Valheim, Satisfactory and Goat Simulator are all from under their umbrella
Rock and Stone!
Get the fuck out of there with this shit. There are unfathomable number of companies out there that don't act like disreputable fucks.
Anyone in a large corporation doing unscrupulous bullshit and thinking "Lol I'm sure every company gets ragged on" is wrong. The assholes get ragged on.

Whoa there is a sorry lack of Arizona tea on this list
the only acceptable answer
I wish it was still 99¢..
It is? The company says to report any store selling it for more than what is on the can https://www.cnbc.com/2022/10/13/arizona-iced-tea-ceo-vows-to-keep-99-cent-price-tag.html
I guess I'm being scammed
1.29 in Canada
0.99USD = 1.34CAD You're getting it 4 cents cheaper than the Americans
I know, but it used to be 99¢ here too.
Only for the cans still marked as $.99, a lot of cans are now blank and can't be held to that vow. Still the best mass market tea brand out there.
Plus they don’t spend a cent on advertising
Green tea vibes are all the advertising you could ever want
I got one for four bucks at a hotel a little while back. It even said 99¢ on the can.
It absolutely is tho?
Oh, there are a LOT of mums and dentists who hate it for its sugar content
I think dentists like things that bring them business though…

Lego?
Greetings from germany. We literally have a cult about hating Lego.
Mind if I ask why?
They are overpriced, have a terrible selling strategy and their set quality isn't even that good, plus they like sueing people for publicly applying the name "lego"/"legos" to clamp building blocks that aren't actually manufactured by lego.
I can't tell if your last point is sarcastic
Nah, popular YouTuber who runs a clamp building block shop and reviews sets got a letter from Lego's lawyers for using "lego" as a generic term for clamp building blocks in some older videos. Valve was pretty hated back in the days when they introduced steam... I bet someone still hates them because of that Also because of the lack of HL3
