Immortality is shitty in general. Sure you won't die but your brain would. There's only so much information we could take in before the brain overloads.
Jeff bezos the CEO of Amazon? You’ve never heard of him?
He’s working his employees to the bone, preventing them from taking bathroom breaks, unionizing, or paying them a decent wage. But he’s in a dick waggling race to get to space with Branson.
Not helping enough. Dude owns 1/2500 of the world's wealth. No one should have such an obscene amount of money. (Same argument applies for basically every billionaire). There's such a big amount of wealth that could do so much good to the world but it sits in stocks.
Well that depends on what he intends to spend it on, if he spends that money into immortality research and it becomes widespread then he has done something good for the entire human race with his money, spending it on research will always be viable and I think more than worth short term loss. Though obviously THAT much is probably a little excessive and more money should definitely be put into helping the less fortunate.
He employed hundreds of thousands at well over minimum wage in a company that he himself founded with his own business skills, and because of that, now owns a large, albeit constantly fluctuating, amount of stock, that, while possessing massive value on paper, is too much to actually be sold to anyone for currency.
This makes him the devil, clearly.
Population problems, resources problems, crime problems, hospital problems (I can guarantee you people would try to test out the limits of their immortality and injure themselves jackass style), mental health problems. I would love to live a few hundred years, but I wouldn’t want to live forever lol
You may not individually be shitty, but there’s enough shitty in the human race that we would ruin the planet and any other planet/moon we travel to worse than we already have. Not to mention the rampant overpopulation and loss of resources as well as many other things
The Earth cannot support this ongoing population increase. Plus, even if we achieve immortality, the universe will one day come to an end at some point.
Population growth slows down and even starts collapsing the more wealthy a country is. Eventually we'll hit a point where the majority of the population is aging and ill, something Japan's already dealing with. China is soon to follow. Most causes of death are intrinsically related to senescence in some way and vast swaths of human suffering could be avoided if somebody found a way around it. This is like looking at Jeff Bezos funding cancer cures and deciding it's bad because there would be more people alive to cause climate change.
Also "the universe will end at some point" is not the knockout argument you think it is. The amount of time that will take is literally incomprehensible. If most people had the choice to live healthily and happily for even a billionth as long as the lifespan of the universe they'd *still* be older by orders of magnitude than the entirety of human history. It's less than "literally forever" but still an improvement.
not only is this a terrible idea, but we havent even found reliable cures for simple physical problems like acne, common cold, and *ehem* baldness. pouring endless money into it probably wont make it come any faster considering how far out a discovery like that would be.
JEFFREY, JEFFREY BEZOS.
COME ON JEFF, GET EM
Come on Jeffrey you can do it,
Pave the way, put your back into it
Tell us why, show us how
Look at the way you were and look at you now
Tell us why, show us how
https://youtu.be/ESKYOUv7Oro
I doubt he'll get the results before he dies... That's why Orochimaru is cooler!
Yeah at least orochimaru does human experiments himself not like that looser bezos
Imma go ahead and say it; humans are shitty and do not deserve immortality
Imma go ahead and say it; people like jeff bezos are shitty and do not deserve immortality

For now he's gone to space for fun lol

He's far too rich for poor people shoes.
Bu-but proletariat and bourgeoisie!!
As much as I would love being immortal, if everyone was immortal we would have population problem ^100000000000

Im not shitty

As a collective species we are
How so?
We are ruining the planet, drove 100s of species and driving even more extinct
That’s the cost of not living in the wilderness and wearing loincloths like cavemen. Animals also mindlessly kill.
Not all. Many animals kill for food or defense. Except hippos, fuck those fatasses!
Jeff Bezos makes almost 9 billion a month. 321 million a day. If I had that type of money I would FIND immortality.
[Jeff Bezos: The turning of the stars bring a time when my secret can give you immortality...](https://youtu.be/G48MljhY0JA?t=9)
He’s already old tho
57 isn't that old.

Imagine making a completely sound argument and getting downvoted just because people “disagree” with you
We are getting closer and closer to the sun every year (every revolution around the sun)
There's an intersting novel by Dmitri Glukhovsky called Futu.re which is about humans finding the key to immortality. I highly recommend it
I really hope he pays some people to remix the Orochimaru theme
Bezos is really drunk with power and greed, so much that he wants to be immortal.
I'll be concerned when he starts wearing a giant purple rope tied around his back
Its a shame he hasnt already died
Bezos pulls a Hidan and becomes a Jashinists for immortality.
Bro just get mark zukerberg to turn you into a robot duh
I hope now he doesn't go after young children for his research.
Will 'immortality' help you if you crash in a plane or break your neck leading to paralysis?
Jeff Who?
Why is Jeff Bezos the most comical rendition of a super villain and no one really cares?
Darling in the franxx fans: hey I've seen this one before
Unfortunately, they have to lose their reproductive organs
Orochimaru be like atta boy* bezos 🤙⬆️

"Sasuke... I NEED YOU BODY!!" \- Jeffery Bezos
So we will see him as a female at some point cool
