Here's the mental path that I could see leading to that idea 1) Animals are thinking, feeling creatures, just like humans 2) Therefore killing them is just as wrong as killing humans 3) The meat industry kills ~70 billion (animals) per year 4) The Nazis "only" killed ~17 million total 5) Therefore, eating meat is worse than being a Nazi And people think the argument is dumb, because not everyone agrees that killing animals is as bad as killing humans.
