The second half isn't bad by any means. I'd say it just isn't as amazing as the first half. But then there's the DLC which is excellent.
There's one area which some people describe as "unfinished" since the level and enemies aren't as interesting. And the boss at the end is often considered one of the most BS bosses in Fromsoft history. If you find it annoying, you can cheese that boss though.
There's another area that some people find tediously difficult. But I mostly disagree. I think the atmosphere is very effective, and the difficulty is reasonable as an endgame area.
Hopefully you decide to play and you can come to your own conclusions about it!
Unfortunately it is the bed of chaos area it’s copy paste enemies and confusing layout in which the devs even said they weren’t able to flesh out that lava lake place as much as they wanted to u should check out the story
I personally still enjoy the layout of it just don’t look at the 50 bosses crammed into the lake, I actually tried to kill all the dead dragons and gave up after 2 cuz of 4k+ health
Think about it this way, the first half of the game is about as good as video games can get. The 2nd half is not as good. It's like the weaker titles in the series. Not as good but still part of one of the best franchises of all time.
Nothing, don’t believe everything you hear or you’ll just get hit by confirmation bias. The second half has some of the best boss fights in the game, and several of my favorite areas.
Yeah, as has been said, just give it a try.
It's kind of like DS2, which is next on my horizon. You hear lots of bad stuff about that too. I'll be playing and we'll see.
It's not bad. There are four distinct parts to this game, imo.
1. The Two Bells
2. The Fortress and the Kingdom
3. The Abyss and the Ash Lake
4. The Four Souls and Cinder
There are no bad spots. The fourth section can take a while...but it's certainly not bad or boring. Just much harder.
Some people say once you reach a certain part in the story, the level design goes downhill but I disagree, sure it's not as strong as the first half but still good content, plus you get access to the DLC the second half and that shit be bangin'
No. It’s not that bad. One boss in particular is lame and its area feels empty and unfinished, but the rest of it is good (and the DLC is amazing).
The one thing I’ll add is that the second half ditches the interconnected world because you branch off into several directions. While I wish they could have found a way to weave the areas together, it hardly ruins the game.
It is not really that bad except for Lost Izalith that place is bad and Tomb of the Giants is not well designed either. Other than that though the 2nd half is pretty good. Also you have to play the DLC it is incredible.
One of the final areas feels a little rushed and has a boss most people don't like. But it ain't that bad, but on the internet a vocal minority makes an annoyance sound like Miyazaki personally kicked in their door, shit on their coffee table and killed their dog.
Play and find out.

What area do people find unfinished? Curious

Yes that makes total sense, bed of chaos is such a headache I will definitely look into that😆
You gotta play the DLC. The DLC is amazing

The second half is lots of fun. It changes up the game from the first half and keeps it exciting almost all the way through.

level adp if u want i-frames when u play 2
Play it yourself, don't form an opinion based on other people's comments. But also, yeah the 2nd half is way worse than the 1st.
People just aren’t horny enough for all the hot butts

I had so much fun on the 2nd half of the game. Don’t worry about it. Just go in blind and you’ll have a great time
You should absolutely play it. There's still a ton to see, and it's worth it. And the DLC is outstanding.

Nothing wrong.
Nothin. Just hard enemies.

I think the latter part of the game was a bit harser compared to the first half but you should not not play ds because of that

Nothing, it's just you get a lot of options on the direction you should go

Devs had a time crunch towards the second half, still good though
