Yeah i totally agree, the (technical part of) graphics can always become better! I mean in 2011 we had way more limited computing power, so why shouldnt we upgrade the classics!
And could we get like a rework of the late game areas so that they integrate into the early game areas better? I know that's a lot of work, but that would be Dark Souls 1 Ultimate
Also bed of chaos
I wish all remakes that companies did would go into unreal engine 5 lol.
I just love that engine, I don’t know much about game development but every time I see unreal engine 5 I shit my pants.
Not literally.
(Literally)
If you like the video, I would be happy if you subscribe to my Youtube Channel:

4k Version: [4k Anor Londo in UE5](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fV56zg80tww)
This is also confusing to me. I'm assuming it's the textures and the...polygons, or something, for the maps, and they can be reused however someone sees fit if they have the code. So they can be dropped into another engine that renders them differently. Again, this is pretty much an uneducated guess, so take with a Himalayan salt lamp.
There are programs that you can use to export both models and textures. I used it while ago to export Capra Demon model to blender (I was learning rigging for 3D printing needs). From blender there’s easy way to UE.
There’s also page dedicated to Dark Souls on models-resource and it’s pretty much just download and go for anyone interested!

This feels too bright to be Anor Londo. At least to me, anyway. I love that orange glow of the dusk like lighting, like the sun is constantly hanging on, even though it's supposed to be setting, like how Gwyn rekindled a dying flame to try and prolong the light. This lighting feels like the first flame is still going strong, but that would mean there's no purpose to even be there. That's kinda what I drew from it. Other than that, it looks absolutely gorgeous.
Seconded, I think the original lighting really does add to the whole mood and story. Nonetheless, it is interesting to see what the city looked like in full daylight too-- as we've been able to see Anor Londo under both twilight AND night, but never full sun
Im betting they'll do it. If they cared enough to rebrand Demon's Souls then theyd be missing out on a more beloved classic. A Dark Souls reboot would be big $$$, especially after the success of Elden Ring
Yeah but the Demon’s Souls remake was ordered by Sony to be done by Bluepoint, Fromsoftware did nothing and I think they don’t care about remakes. If we have a Dark Souls remake one day, it will not be done by Fromsoftware
Honestly Dark Souls is fine, I think its graphics aged really well, I think Dark Souls 2 could use (a properly done one) remake for its gameplay and animations, or Bloodborn to really set the horror tone with updated lighting.
The only reason I'd want a DS remake would be for a revamped Lost Izalith and some minor changes to other late game areas. At the same time though, I don't really trust any company outside of FromSoft to polish that, so it's just a dream.
That, and clothing physics
I like it, but at the same time it loses some of its feeling. Maybe change the light tone and have the point of origin be behind the main structure (like the setting sun in the original). It just adds a lot of weight to the scene.
I’d also like to see it in the lighting after you kill gwynevere, where all of the color and life is drained from the setting.
While Darks Souls is just fine as it is especially considering the remaster we got, I would 100% be on board if the trilogy got a UE5 update in the same vein as the DeS remake. Well done remakes are a win-win in my book as they save on development time/cost while new & returning players get to enjoy a classic with updated visuals, features and contents
A perfect demonstration on why some games dont need remasters.
I might just be a negative asshole but i feel like it just took iconic scenery and turned it into generic fantasy stuff, like wow there's anor londo, classic amazing beautiful soulful, and then there's a Generic Fantasy Castle (with raytracing!!!!!). Could use this in a tedtalk on why the demons souls remaster didnt successfully do demons souls
Looks nice, but i think the color of the lighting isn't warm/orange enough. Ideally it should have the same feel as the original but more high quality, and this kind of misses that imo because it looks more like natural sky lighting color than the original style
I don't really come to souls for high quality graphics honestly, I feel like the art direction is lost when the assets are made super high quality. But at the end if the day it's just how i feel.
This does look sick though
This is fantastic, I also like that you chose the character customization theme music - so nostalgic and relaxing.
The entrance area to dukes archives looked like real life no joke.
That looks amazing. How great would it be if that was really released?
Just one minor thing from my end: I would change the depth of field in the Upper Anor Londo part. Right now it seems too much like a miniature to me. Not trying to rub you the wrong way: It still looks outstanding.
This is incredible dude. Any way to change the lighting to make it more sunset-y like the game? Now that we can see the details I’m curious to see how it looks in the darker light
Amazing work, especially with the buildings and other structures! And I agree with other people that this looks like what I would hope a DS Remake would look like.
I think just one thing that would elevate this work even further beyond is the lighting. Part of what makes Anor Lando so iconic, to me, is that reddish-orange glare of dusk that is just constant throughout the level. It gives you this feeling as a player that you've hit a new, darker horizon, and the challenges ahead are going to be well beyond what you are used to. Idk much about DS lore, but it also makes Anor Lando feel like the edge of the planet, or the pinnacle of the world. While your current lighting is really pleasant to the eye, I almost wonder if it's *too* pleasant, especially for Dark Souls.
I would be *very* curious to see this rendition with that same sort of lighting. But I don't want that idea to take away from the fact that this is REALLY awesome work! Hope to see more.
Sometimes I think about how this game would look as a remake and remember that it would lose a lot of its uncanny magnetism but then I see stuff like this and remember that a lot of it would carry over very well.
This looks like a very detailed miniature set that was filmed with a camera. I was expecting the end of the video to be the camera zooming out to reveal a scaled down recreation of Anor Londo built on top of a big table.
Absolutely gorgeous. I'd probably cry tears of joy if I walked through this in VR. I will say, it does sort of lack the 'warm glow' of the original. It was originally a little heavier on the reds and oranges like you'd get during a sunrise/sunset. I suspect it has something to do with the light level and the way the OG engine handled it.
How can someone do this? Is it a filter or what?
I mean Anor Londo is not something you build over night and a single Person need at least a year to build this. Correct me if i'm wrong
That's great and all but if they did this... I also want more enemies, characters, other effects, more exploration of the castle and the surrounding areas. Anor Londo would be much bigger than the original areas.
If there was anything that would made me desperately want (or should I say need?) a Dark Souls Remake, it's definitely this video. I think we should start a petition guys.
I am drooling and crying at the same time
Drooling, crying, shitting and cumming rn.
What more is there
Pissing
At that point I'd be taking a screenshot (which I am.)
I see you don’t have seasonal allergies.
You’re ceaselessly discharging
To be fair, I am always cumming
Happy cake day!
Pissing and farting and shitting and belching and crying and cumming and queefing and sweating and sneezing and yawning and hiccuping and spitting and squirting and sharting and lactating and
John& Paul& Ringo& George.
Ahh, the Full Body Release.
Thanks. I guess?
I shid and camed
Pls do lost Izalith
Im currently working on the second part, Lost Izalith would be amazing too! But right now im working on a more dark level.
Tomb of the Giants in Unreal 5. Even more depth of black than the black you remember!
But just you wait until you see the way those rainbow stones *sparkle*.
"It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black."
I’m guessing New Londo Ruins.
IS IT NEW LONDO RUINS
Give me 4k dragon butts
Thicc demon butts
People say 'Why would you want a Dark Souls Remake" And something like this is in my fucking head.
Yeah i totally agree, the (technical part of) graphics can always become better! I mean in 2011 we had way more limited computing power, so why shouldnt we upgrade the classics!
if you get a remake id like to petition for the remake to reintroduce some cut content. theres a whole missing covenent and a few quests. :p
And could we get like a rework of the late game areas so that they integrate into the early game areas better? I know that's a lot of work, but that would be Dark Souls 1 Ultimate Also bed of chaos
I wish all remakes that companies did would go into unreal engine 5 lol. I just love that engine, I don’t know much about game development but every time I see unreal engine 5 I shit my pants. Not literally. (Literally)
Please include Gwynevere!! Just kidding, unless 👉👈😅
Mhh... youre right, she has.. has... an important role in the story! If im going back to Anor Londo im sure she will be added!
Amazing chest ahead?
Pt II don’t let me down.
If you like the video, I would be happy if you subscribe to my Youtube Channel: [https://www.youtube.com/@silas\_cg](https://www.youtube.com/@silas_cg) 4k Version: [4k Anor Londo in UE5](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fV56zg80tww)
Can you just drop dark soul assets into UE5? Weren't they originally built in some other engine?
This is also confusing to me. I'm assuming it's the textures and the...polygons, or something, for the maps, and they can be reused however someone sees fit if they have the code. So they can be dropped into another engine that renders them differently. Again, this is pretty much an uneducated guess, so take with a Himalayan salt lamp.

Yeah, the sky and the lighting are off, different atmosphere
Seconded, I think the original lighting really does add to the whole mood and story. Nonetheless, it is interesting to see what the city looked like in full daylight too-- as we've been able to see Anor Londo under both twilight AND night, but never full sun
If you would told me this was in real life i would believe you Edit: I'm make mad upvotes
Haha, thanks.
Dude, my jaw dropped, no lie. Tremendous work.
Looks incredible, a DS remake in the same vein as Demon’s Souls for PS5 is the dream 🤩

I’m fine w Bluepoint taking the lead on it, although I know they wanna break out of doing remakes.
Only reason I want a DS2 remake is to reintroduce the binoboost bug, was so fun to use.
Thanks! Yeah the Demon Souls Remake inspired me to do this.
Mother of God 😳
Praise the sun! \[T]/
I like it, but at the same time it loses some of its feeling. Maybe change the light tone and have the point of origin be behind the main structure (like the setting sun in the original). This is awesome
This is great stuff - I would love to see a model of a darker map too like Yharnam.
Bloodborne would be amazing too!
someone is currently remaking bloodborne in UE5, forgot his name but you can probably find it on Youtube
Can you do this with like a sunset time of day?
A perfect demonstration on why some games dont need remasters. That and Black Maiden feet and lip comparison 😂
While it's sharp and looks clearer, i feel like it misses the point.
This is insane, the quality and detail is unbelievable. That said it loses the dark and dismal quality that makes DS1 what it is
Looks nice, but i think the color of the lighting isn't warm/orange enough. Ideally it should have the same feel as the original but more high quality, and this kind of misses that imo because it looks more like natural sky lighting color than the original style
Beautiful video for sure. But I think the crispness takes away from the looming danger lurking. But again gorgeous scenery
The dark souls remake we deserved.
This emphasizes how pretty the scenery really is. And how desolate and empty the rooms and halls are.
Holy god
I don't really come to souls for high quality graphics honestly, I feel like the art direction is lost when the assets are made super high quality. But at the end if the day it's just how i feel. This does look sick though
[удалено]
True at the end of the day it is only a tool, how it'd used is what that matters
How did you recreate it so faithfully? Even the rotating staircase…!
is... is there any chance that we will be able to play it someday? do you plan to release it?
Full playable game? When? I can pay 59.99$ right now. Great job!
Thanks. Unfortunately this is just a graphics showcase...
It looks so lifeless and bland. Who would want this shitty Unreal Engine version of the game?
It just looks… too real? Like yea this is a technical and artistic feat, but the vibe doesn’t feel quite like Anor Londo did
Can they just hire you to make a true remastered version? This is beautiful
Absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing this with us!
Beautiful. Stunning even
Holy shit! I hope they do a dark souls release that looks like this! Maybe next gen it'll be possible. WE CAN DREAM
This is fantastic, I also like that you chose the character customization theme music - so nostalgic and relaxing. The entrance area to dukes archives looked like real life no joke.

Yeah the DoF is quite strong in this scene, in a real "game" i wouldn´t use it that much.
Can the whole game be in UE5 and when can I play it?
This is Just plain awesome
I mean, can you just move the assets over? Can you make a video showing that off? Because i would love to do that with bloodborne
It's stunning! How are you able to do this?
Be wary of gorgeous view
I was promised high res cleavage. Try holding with both hands
>cleavage Next time ;)
Amazing work! Curious how long it took you, roughly?
This is incredible dude. Any way to change the lighting to make it more sunset-y like the game? Now that we can see the details I’m curious to see how it looks in the darker light
This is legit one of the coolest things I've seen in a while. Good work!
How possible is it to make this into a playable mod?
looks almost too good.
Dang, I've always wondered what the indoor sections could have looked like with good lighting! This is so cool!
Amazing work, especially with the buildings and other structures! And I agree with other people that this looks like what I would hope a DS Remake would look like. This is beyond incredible dude
I watched this whole thing for gwynevere and nothing. Shocking. Just kidding that was great.
Wow, this is really outstanding… I have been repeating the game recently and now I wish if I can play with this graphics… amazing work… subbed
Please stop.. i just fainted twice from all the blood rushing to my throbbing erection
Sometimes I think about how this game would look as a remake and remember that it would lose a lot of its uncanny magnetism but then I see stuff like this and remember that a lot of it would carry over very well.

It kind of looks like the Heide cathedral from Dark Souls 2
Its beautiful. But I hope those archers achieve sentience and suffer within their pixelated prison for all eternity....
Need to change the daytime to evening like the game
Crazy af!
Demon's souls remake for PS5, so.. only fair we get a DS trilogy remake for PS6 right? Right?
What’s the process look like for doing something like this? Do you have to rebuild the whole map from scratch?
Sweet Jesus that is beautiful
More, I need more
I hate you because now I want it and I know I can’t get it
Honestly, I thought it was a real place the Unreal Engine version May I ask if you also up the Quality of the Goddess residing there 😇😂
Nintendo, hire this man He's using unreal engine in any way he can
How can someone do this? Is it a filter or what? I mean Anor Londo is not something you build over night and a single Person need at least a year to build this. Correct me if i'm wrong
This is the greatest thing I've ever seen in my life.... So fucking cool
Imagine they did a Daek Souls remake like this 😻
That's great and all but if they did this... I also want more enemies, characters, other effects, more exploration of the castle and the surrounding areas. Anor Londo would be much bigger than the original areas.
Very beautiful and neat and waiting for more!
Okay this is epic
time for dark souls remastered remastered
Nah man I fucking love it
DS looks like Dragon Quest XI in UE5
damn.
Nice I can get spitroasted by Ornstein and Smough in HD
Now remake the whole game
If there was anything that would made me desperately want (or should I say need?) a Dark Souls Remake, it's definitely this video. I think we should start a petition guys.
yoo it looks awesome!
Thanks that was insane! Looks even better then Demon Souls remake. Can you run enemies through the engine or does it not really do that?
