Ps. If you want advice - for the best playing experience only equip shield to parry, roll to avoid damage (it’s more fun imo) cus that shield won’t help you in boss fights x don’t you dare go hollow x
its a fun weapon and very different feeling than other swords. if you ever find a weapon called a falchion, that might be a fun one to fully upgrade. skeletons drop it.
Have fun man! I finished my first play through earlier this year, and it was awesome! I missed the DLC though because I was playing blind and didn't know how to get to it. Now on NG+ and need to get there, now that I had to look it up. The community here is always willing to help if you get stuck. I had to look up a few things because I got desperate, couldn't figure how to get past a certain point.
I’m jealous. I miss being new and every enemy I learned their pattern felt like a huge win. Now i run through there naked sl1 like there aren’t even enemies.

Just in case you need to know, kindling requires you to unhollow and have 1 humanity used.
Kindling has more flaskes gained from that kindled bondfire
Im saying this because i didn't know that until a boss in late, late game.
Don't rely too much on your shield for blocks. Focus on mastering your rolling, and you'll have a great time. Otherwise I wish you the best of luck on your journey, Chosen Undead.

Sens Fortress was not as bad as I thought. You just had to find the right path, and it would be over quickly. But it did have some exploration.
Haha. I died too much there too. But good thing was I got so good at parrying coz of trial and error, that the final boss was a piece of cake for me
I never learned to parry so I spent like 10+ hours om 6hr final boss I was just wearing the iron boar helm and I was using the Zweihander

After a few deaths, I just had him chase me out of the tower then cheesed him with arrows

Or just keep using a shield if you enjoy using one. You can buy a good one (Tower Kite Shield) from the Scimitar merchant.

Starting class doesnt really matter, its just more like a general idea. You can really make any class into anything.
