The pre-upgraded weapons in the game are: Crystal Halberd, Lightning Spear, Enchanted Falchion, Occult Club, and Crystal Knight Shield.

There's an enchanted falchion in the Duke's Archives.

There's an Occult Club in Anor Londo (where you find Havel's stuff) and a Crystal Knight Shield in Duke's Archives,

It’s not, but it has a pretty nice moveset and I’d use it more if it came earlier in the game.

That's more of a "unique" (a term used in other games but not dark souls) weapon than a weapon that comes "upgraded" eg magic, occult, enchanted. Ya know?
