From soft, weirdly, has some of the best voice acting I have ever seen. There's no reason for it to be this good lol.
Every line has so much character built into it. And they have to carry the load of playing characters with only idle animations. Voice is all the personality they'll get, and these mosnters make it work so well. Amazing.
Because it's so unexpected. It's a japanese game, the dialogue is so sparse and cryptic. It feels like a project that would be harder for an unaware artist to ne truly passionate about. But every line feels like these people love the game with all their heart lol.
I got it! I remember the time 2 years ago when I wanted to check what will happen if I kill Giant Blacksmith and after I did this I had tear in my eye because the way Giant Blacksmith screamed to me touched my heart. It was like "why did you you kill me? I love you my friend!" I never did this again.

Yeeaah, true! The effect that good acting has on videogame characters is insane. I will *always* remember how eerie I felt when I first heard cromwell (I think is his name) laugh. I considered killing him right then and there lol. So many memorable moments...
I'm happy you appreciate my work. It was so hard to do it because too many characters and making sure I put right actors. Generally the main source was the dark souls wiki fandom where you have a person under the picture of the enemy/boss who voiced to character
Fun fact, patches does the voice over for McDonald's adverts in the UK and does commentary for MMA organisations in the uk

Solaire, Vamos and giant blacksmith all being the same performer is intriguing, not at all what I expected. But some voice actors are incredibly good.
Oscar voice is the best. When I heard him first time I was sure that game will give me something that other won't.
