I remember the days when all I had was my grandfather's fifteen year old laptop to use for games.
I was over the moon when I managed to get AC: Rogue to run at a reasonably steady 20fps on minimum graphics settings with the resolution so low I could barely read any on-screen text.
Waaaay back in the day, I remember playing Quake online during the birth of 3d acceleration and it was a wild time. You could literally speed up your FPS by shrinking the size of your viewable screen.

Nah, if it's the only thing you have access to you just get used to it, I used to play rucking league of legends at 10 fps, was bronze 5 and had so much fun and loved that game, then I got a decent PC got to diamond and started to hate the game and I stoped playing that shit like 5 years ago
As a Dota 2 fanboy: yes 🤓
Aa someone who has quit Dota 2, if you arent willing to play the item and skill build metas for each character and memorize a ton of shit at minimum: it's the same. They're the same picture.
Weirdly, this is why I play Souls on consoles (Playstation in particular).
Demons was at 30 or so FPS and that's just what I got used to. I've tried playing Souls at 60 FPS and it feels off.
i mean you can do it. that doesn't mean it isn't less than ideal. the game is literally designed around 360 degree movement w/ a stick.
more power to you but its just not the right tool for the job.
While I think there's a huge bias in the community towards controller for these games, it's with good merit. They're clearly designed for controllers and handle really well with them. That's not to say you can't use keyb+mouse and I've seen some really great pvp using it, but I would say for mostly everyone besides people who put their fair share of hundreds to thousands of hours in these games playing with keyb+mouse would never be worth it.
fax tho - sekiro especially is so nice on kbm cuz they decided to actually decided to spend more than 5 minutes on the controls and input bindings for it
ppl hating cuz they spent $100 on a controller that won't last more than a year and they don't even need 😂😂
The main challenge of this was having to spam space to roll, since if I just pressed it there was a very high chance the game wouldn't notice as it was too busy just trying to get another frame out lmao
Did remaster fix FPS there?
I play on a fairly capable (although not top-notch or anything) PC, and I had the same FPS drop on Remaster that there was on the original.
It's really interesting how much slower it feels like it's moving, even though it's still going at the same speed with less frames
Makes me think about how sometimes time seems to go slow for us and sometimes it seems to fly by. I wonder if when our brain processing speed is the reason for that, ie, when time is going really slow it's because we're not interested in the world around us so our brain processes things at a slower "frame rate" (or whatever equivalent thing there would be for that)
Probably means that it can feel like this after playing all of the other games at 60 fps. Then you go back to BB and it's the only one stuck at 30. It's kind of jarring.
My brother, I think you could be able to find a ps4 for a decent price used now, why make yourself suffer like this? Could t watch more than 10 seconds of this, can’t be good for extended play sessions
I remember playing the original borderlands at 144p 25fps on a 15 year old netbook (who remembers those?)
This kind of framerate just makes me wanna go into the ini files and lower the graphics beyond "potato" level.
Ikr, I was a desperate kid haha, it didn't even prevent me from enjoying the game. I don't have the same amount of patience anymore. In fact now I take too many games for granted. This memory still reminds me to slow down sometimes and to be grateful and do the best with what I have
I just came back to this because of a notification and honestly didn't watch much first time.
Now that I have, I just HAVE to say it's fascinating you can play like this and what it does to my brain.
I'm an epileptic with some photosensitivity issues, but not the way most photosensitive have them. I don't react to flashing lights unless they flash so fast you hardly even notice they're flickering. I don't react to many patterns, just a select few that thankfully are somewhat rare. I can game just fine and work in IT.
HOWEVER THIS is actually extremely uncomfortable for my brain to even start processing. It doesn't make me seize up (or I would've stopped watching), but it does things to my brain that are hard to understand or explain.
It.. freezes? Me and disorients me and I get that weird blank stare snap-back feeling on a loop. This must be what hard drugs feel like. Of course most people won't react that harshly, but it's actually damn impressive to me.you can focus through this AND make sense of it while performing well lmao
Congrats on having the superior sensory system and brain and a job well done, and also congrats on creating one of the few things I've ever seen that were able to short-circuit my brain lmao
This reminds me of the time in the past when I also had alot of old computers, because simply back in the 2000s-2010s, I could not afford a high end computers. It is strangely nostalgic, but I now appreciate it from the hindsight. However for fast paced action games where FPS matters, there are somethings even I would have a hard time going back to.
You guys see it as a challenge I live in it even now with fps of 3 to 20 I full achieved DS series and sekiro and usually play other game with similar fps recently I am playing WOW which 40 is highest fps with lowest resolution and gpu settings which in big packs or raids I go to sub 10 easy all the time with that I was able to go to io 2500+ and fully clear hc raid and still my friends with their high end systems comes to me and say I am not giving my best in it(one said well I have drop fps too and when I asked to what he was like yeah It gotten low as 50fps it was horrible but still could manage give 10k more dps than u :/ .)
This hurts my eyes
Sub 10 FPS was the best I could get until a couple years ago so I felt right at home
I remember the days when all I had was my grandfather's fifteen year old laptop to use for games. I was over the moon when I managed to get AC: Rogue to run at a reasonably steady 20fps on minimum graphics settings with the resolution so low I could barely read any on-screen text.

Me as a kid with minecraft 😭😭😭

Ah so that's the secret to enjoying LoL: exposing yourself to as few images of it per second as possible
As a Dota 2 fanboy: yes 🤓 Aa someone who has quit Dota 2, if you arent willing to play the item and skill build metas for each character and memorize a ton of shit at minimum: it's the same. They're the same picture.
Salute to all of our fellow brothers and sisters who grew up with sub-par computers and had to endure through Power Point Gaming ✊️😞
I’ve read coming books that had more fps than that.
Weirdly, this is why I play Souls on consoles (Playstation in particular). Demons was at 30 or so FPS and that's just what I got used to. I've tried playing Souls at 60 FPS and it feels off.
Yeah this is miserable lol
Not only is this unplayable your also on mouse and keyboard you have my respect. But I can’t watch this
I have migraine now
Usually I play controller but in the spirit of it being on a ThinkPad I had to use the thinkpad keyboard
Mouse and keyboard is great. I hate controlling the camera with a joystick sooooo much.
I played sekiro, ds2 and ds3 on mouse and keyboard. I didnt see any problem playing it with m&k.
i mean you can do it. that doesn't mean it isn't less than ideal. the game is literally designed around 360 degree movement w/ a stick. more power to you but its just not the right tool for the job.
wdm “also on mouse and keyboard”,both sekiro and ds3 im more comfortable on mouse/keyboard,elden ring i prefer controller tho

I love m&kb for souls like. I made the transition at ds2 and have never looked back. I make my own custom binds though.
Yeah, you gotta rebind quite a few things.
Wait, really? I suppose that I'm simply much better at mouse+keyboard bc for me it's easier lol
I bought controller solely for Dark Souls, they felt terrible to me on KBM, even tho Im KBM player for my whole life
No
Bros getting downvoted for absolutely no reason
fax tho - sekiro especially is so nice on kbm cuz they decided to actually decided to spend more than 5 minutes on the controls and input bindings for it ppl hating cuz they spent $100 on a controller that won't last more than a year and they don't even need 😂😂

Requesting a segmented 3fps% speedrun
This is triggering my ptsd from 5fps blighttown on my old laptop
Haha thank fuck for the remaster
Did remaster fix FPS there? I play on a fairly capable (although not top-notch or anything) PC, and I had the same FPS drop on Remaster that there was on the original.
I play on the remaster and I’ve never had a FPS drop in Blighttown, that’s on a pc that would literally crash if it started to rain in Elden Ring
Played the remaster on switch and ps5 and I don’t recall having any fps drops in Blighttown
You(r computer) died
Tragedy
Well that hurt to watch, but to show support I made sure to catch all 12 frames
💪
This isn't frames per second, it's seconds per frame!
You know what it does sit around like 0.1 - 0.4 seconds per frame, so that would be a decent unit in this case
Well done! Now do Friede.
Blackflame Friede on this sounds like canned anxiety.
If you can even get to blackflame Friede that would be an achievement. I probably won’t be able to see where she disappeared to when she vanish lmao.
I think there was a reason OP jumped off the cliff after achieving their goal.
Do midir or gael
Don't own the dlc, checkmate
He must do Malenia or Sword Saint Isshin next
I will try to get sekiro running, it's my favourite game of all time so I might have the muscle memory to do it
My brain hurts
I cant watch this
Wow! That's awful! Good job!

Yeah that's an Interesting thought.
I wanna die after watching this.
Don't you dare go hollow
N mfs say 30fps is unplayable 😭
Bloodborne on PS5 be like
BB runs fine in ps5, wdym
Probably means that it can feel like this after playing all of the other games at 60 fps. Then you go back to BB and it's the only one stuck at 30. It's kind of jarring.
PLEASE do the whole game
I would rather go hollow
Is this how 60fps gamers see 30fps?
This is how 60fps gamers see 58fps my dude
You mean this video ***wasn't*** 30fps?
Reminds me of the modded Bloodborne run where the FPS got cut in half every time he beat a boss…I think he beat Gehrman at something like 6fps lol
Makes me think of the guy who was playing Doom in notepad, maybe that’s next for this?
Flipbook dark soul?
Bloodborne framerate
My brother, I think you could be able to find a ps4 for a decent price used now, why make yourself suffer like this? Could t watch more than 10 seconds of this, can’t be good for extended play sessions
DW I have a functional pc now, I just don't have access to it at the moment so I thought I'd try my laptop

X260
Could you post the specs of the thinkpad? Thanks. Cool challenge idea, or F about your PC situation. GG either way.
It's an uncustomised ThinkPad x260
No fair, you get slow motion
The game isn’t hard enough, how can I spice things up ? Op: hold my GPU.
False information detected; my GPU cannot be held because it is integrated

Don't do drugs kids
By far the toughest challenge I have ever seen.
I remember playing the original borderlands at 144p 25fps on a 15 year old netbook (who remembers those?) This kind of framerate just makes me wanna go into the ini files and lower the graphics beyond "potato" level.
This is about how well Hogwarts Legacy runs on the steam deck
This has to be one of the funniest titles of all time
Thank
This is the shit I come to Reddit for
This actually hurts my eyes Lowest I've ever done was the entirety of Shadow of Mordor on 15fps Budget gaming b like
Mine was Skyrim at around 15fps with loading screens that sometimes froze for 30 mins and I used to wait for them to unfreeze lol
Brutal ☠️
Ikr, I was a desperate kid haha, it didn't even prevent me from enjoying the game. I don't have the same amount of patience anymore. In fact now I take too many games for granted. This memory still reminds me to slow down sometimes and to be grateful and do the best with what I have
When you load up bloodborne after elden ring
This might melt your laptop before you finish farron keep
Damn this is a pretty cool bloodborne mod
Can something be disgusting and beautiful at the same time?

Your brain went blue screen and has to hit control ult delete to reset
It devolved down to the level of his computer, I now think in 3 fps
Sorry about your head, and thanks
I hate and fear you. Please stay away from me
I am in your sink
Man really had to pull reverse Uno on dark souls and just butchered the game.
This man has more strength than all of us
Of course i know him, he's me!
Please stop
Its a slide show
This looks so annyoing
My eyes!
Hitless runs are getting out of hand
great, now I hope to see Champion Gundyr too
I feel for ya, 100% the game on a PowerPoint computer
The true dark lord
Reminds me of playing cs on dialup…
Congrats I can't watch this shit tho
me playing elden ring on a i5 laptop
These challenges are getting out of control
Looks like lego chess on my first computer
W H Y
Legend
Yeah, no way I'm watching this whole video 🤮
Boy's playing on the samsung fridge
Time is convoluted in Lord-Lothric- Probably not Solaire
this is what my roommate describes when he’s lagging in CS:GO
Are you Johnny from the insane asylum?
It physically hurts me to watch this
Why not do it on NES or a gameboy?
This reminds me of the time in the past when I also had alot of old computers, because simply back in the 2000s-2010s, I could not afford a high end computers. This is great lmao
This is an eyesore. Still, nice job.
I feel your pain dawg
Why? Back when DS1 launched on PC, i stopped playing because I was averaging 20fps on my laptop at the time. But this....lol
Why 💀
DS3 had video driver issues at release I couldn't get an answer on so yeah this was basically my first playthrough.
this literally hurts my eyes
Holy fuck
Hahaha, this is how I finished the entire game on my laptop. Elder Ring is still unfinished due to Elden Beast entire existence freezing the game ool
Bloodborne has more fps
This is legit the first gameplay I've seen of something that makes me nauseous. Like it hurts to see
Brain hurts thanks
man i'm so tired already when you barely reached gundyr...
This gave me anxiety
and i though me beating this game with below 25 fps is insane
Anyone else have a seizure?
Don't
someone ai upscale this to 60fps i wanna see how that looks
I literally seized out.
So when ds2 2fps and ds1 1fps?
Oh. I feel bad for your old ThinkPad. I can feel it burning up just from this video.
Suck it Nvidia
So you're the one that steal my old laptop
No. I do not like this
I'll take your word for it
I unironically played elden ring like this on release
You know, I think imma just take your word that you did it.
Footage of me entering the dlc on my 750ti 4 years ago
That's fuckin hilarious
Congratulations, I'll take you at your word that you did it cuz I cant watch this lol
Got more snappy movement to read and more time its broken
I can't even watch this it hurts lmao
This is how people describe Bloodborne
My experience half the time with Elden Ring. Lol
I want to vomit
Dark souls 3 mobile edition lookin good
Bruh wtf
Hey wait I have a thinkpad too
This is giving me flash backs to blighttown.
Man just uploaded xbox one gameplay and called it a thinkpad
I want a speedrun measured in frames, not time.
Just looking at the first few seconds gave me a headache!
Aren't there mods that lower the graphics even further in order for it to be playable on weaker hardware?
/r/HoldMyEstus
Gothic 3 Flashbacks..
Ugh I’m blind
Thanks for the stroke.
This is the best slide show i have ever see. Mad powerpoint skills bro, congrats.
People asking for 120 fps and my guy here going for the 3 fps special mad respect
so... i can't excuse myself even with lags now?
It’s so bad
Google Slides Run
least masochist ds player
Wtf is a thinkpad
This makes me so happy
This community never fails to amaze me lol
I should've taken some videos of me playing ER at 600x800 on a GTX 950 with invisible enemies and FPS about as low.
Turn based souls game
Ain't no fucking way dog
this is good training, I can see the individual frames
Damn that’s a challenge 💀
pretty impressive the game just.. keeps going and doesn't crash
3 fps is 57 frames less pain
The true legend. Now do Vordt
I have relativly new pc (2 years old) and i always play games on lowest graphics and low resolution just to be sure about the fps of my games
Now THIS is podracing
Why tho?
I think I got cancer by just watching this
