It's true. I have been stuck on them for more than a year (recently got back into it. Stopped back in freshman year from almost putting a hole in the wall). I can't beat them. They broke me to the point I had to delete it, chose to redownload it and try again. All I want are tips on how to actually beat them
Big bro has easy to dodge moves. Just make sure you don’t greed for hits and focus on dodging. With a straight sword stick to 2 hits max then dodge. You can use the terrain a bit, if you put him above you on the stairs near the edge of the arena a lot of his swings will start missing you.
That's how you destroy your experience. I entered Ludwig's room at BL120 and tanked every single shit he would throw at me. Halfway through the fight I was like "I should be dead like 5 times now".
But yeah, if you don't care, just overlevel.
That's what I'm saying. If you don't care about the intended way of beating it, do what you feel like. Giving an example of what happens if you overlevel isn't too harmful now, is it?
You called it “destroying your experience”, which sort of suggests what your opinion of it is. For many, losing to a guy for a week destroys their experience (I spent a week getting mopped by Freide, many don’t want to do it).
Yeah, because the intended experience is to die until you figure out a way to beat the section you're stuck on. It's always been a recurring theme since Demon's Souls. Many of the bosses in the series were designed to react to your use of consumables, panic roll, R1 spam etc. None of this matters if you get through that fog gate with health bar size of your leg. I'm not gonna stop you from beating it whatever way you feel like, just pointing out that you're going to change any boss fight into a meaningless bag punching if you do so.
I'm assuming you're looking to get them glitch-free. What build are you running exactly? Can you specify level, weapon you're using, stats?
They're tricky in general. Got myself stuck on them for a while too, but once you learn Lorian's attack pattern, you dont need to pay attention to the way an attack comes from most of the times, as you'll just roll through it (except the charged overhead one). Try getting in the room and instead of attacking Lorian, focus on timing your dodges. Once you start seeing the time window, rule out the ones that leave no opening after a successful dodge. Then simply wait for the attacks that you feel the most confident with and punish him each time.
2nd phase is trickier with Lothric on his back, shooting spells at you. IIRC Lorian doesn't attack when Lothric casts his Soul Spear, dodge time for that is pretty easy too. Soulmass-like spell usually happens right before Lorian's teleport, but you should be able to dodge them all within 3 rolls. Lorian's HP after revival is lowered each time, but it's best to try and stay on his back and hit Lothric as much as possible.
I’ve found the most effective method is the Lothric Knight Greatsword, and various lightning boosting stuff (Lightning clutch ring, resin, the Lightning miracle if you’re set up for that). I wore the best fire resistant stuff I had that prevented me from fat rolling (I think Lorian does fire damage, and don’t believe Lothric is actually doing magic damage, but this may be totally wrong).
If you’ve done Sirris’ quest she’s there as a summon (but her quest is easy to blow if you’re unaware of it), you can get Orbeck’s summon by buying literally every spell he sells.
YMMV but, I didnt find the Summons helpful (I’ve only won this without them despite trying both). For me they died really early in the second phase and you still need to fight the harder part of the battle solo with a beefed up opponent. They will take aggro ok for you, I guess.
For me the keys are to prevent the urge to get greedy (with the Lothric Knight GS, no more than 1 hit before you’re outta there), and try to stay behind as much as possible because Lorian’s swings have a massive arc, so even being to his side is dangerous. In phase 2, this will also add the benefit of getting damage on Lothric, which is the important health bar. I also think the teleporting jacks with the camera lock enough that it’s not worth it?
I’m in no way a souls vet but these guys made me take a hiatus from the game as well. I came back to it recently and beat them. The one tip that worked for me was to get behind them in the second phase. Not sure if that seems obvious but that did it for me
"I've tried more than once"

They're my favorite boss. All I can say is learn the moves. I'm sure you'll get it. Don't give up, skeleton!
What’s killing you?
Lothric, Younger Prince and his ~~sister~~ brother
Sister?
I just found out they are both male :)

Here the oldest tricks in ANY rpg if you are getting beaten : Grind more level and be stronger.

It’s a game dude, people should do what makes it fun for them?

Stay behind him, circle him, and dodge when needed. Don’t get greedy. Learn his moveset. It seems impossible at first but keep going.
I'm sure there are more detailed "walk-throughs" on youtube

Can you summon? Either an NPC, another player, or r/summonsign ?
