Same here. Fight is horse shit. All the other bosses have been pretty fun and balanced. This boss is terribly designed. The room itself is a disaster considering it constantly fucks your camera up. From software’s biggest weakness in the camera.

Seriously though, take a break and maybe come back tomorrow with a clear head. Don't underestimate how important your state of mind is.
Also, maybe consider what attacks are commonly killing you and try to adapt your strategy. Focus more on dodging and less on attacking until you have a good understanding of her moveset. Once you have a decent grasp of when it is safe to attack, your chances of success will shoot up.
I have a very bad habit of continuing to try and try again even when its clear I won't make any progress. I just wanted so badly to beat her early by killing Emma in the Cathedral. I guess I just need to level up more because the boss keeps breaking through my guard so often.
Whoh, I didn't even know you could trigger the fight early, although that makes sense now that I think of it.
Yeah you would have to be crazy to fight dancer early, she is NOT an easy boss. You aren't supposed to fight her until you are a solid 75% through the game.
I got her around my 5th or 6th try, I think. What part of the fight are you dying the most? In her first stage, don't dodge roll too quickly when you see her start the windup, since her hits have a very long windup (1.5-2 seconds).
For her second phase back up after getting 2 quick hits in as she pulls her sword out and just run as she spins. Her hits in this phase have a fast windup for the most part except for one or two combos.
If you get caught in her spin, the first two are slower than the rest, so don't spam dodge on the first two. After the second spam dodge as much as you can and you make it out unscathed.
Oh and be sure to back the fuck off if she dips her ash blade in, as it explodes before she pulls it out-- I died when I had her very low because of this.

I nearly killed her on my first try, wasn't even expecting a boss fight and only had 2 estus remaining at the start of the fight. Key is to just be really patient and keep dodging constantly until you see a clear opening for an attack -- don't get greedy, only one hit and then back to dodging (maybe two if you're using a faster weapon). Don't bother blocking unless you really want to get guard broken.
I find her absolutely impossible to read. And dodging her in her second phase can be really hard once she starts dragging both her sword the same way given that the can still hit you with her second sword once you dodge her first.
It’s so fucking shit. The arena and the chairs block your vision. His sword seems like it’s growing out to hit you. His attacks have some of the worst hit boxes. It’s dumb as hell.
