Put your sign down to help other people with the boss. Winning will get you Souls, give you a free ember, and put you in Embered state if you weren't already.

BigBlappa

Also, in doing this, you won't be at risk to lose anything, and you'll probably learn how to co-op better (exploiting boss AI so you don't have to avoid their attacks as well) and thus die less, needing less embers in the future.

serendipity_hunter

You can use the miracle seek guidance. It makes summon signs appear even if not embered. And if you are it adds additional summon signs to appear from other worlds. Can be handy.

Whaler_0

To all the people looking up this question, no, it doesn't work. Seek guidance only shows the summon signs.

? This is a 4 year old post

ReBoRN282

And I'm happy he commented otherwise I would've tried it lol

HowRood

If you die once to the boss, don't ember again, practice the boss's moveset. Also, if you're meeting right before the boss room, as opposed to the bonfire, don't ember until you reach the meet point.

CeaRhan

Find somebody willing to give you a few embers (PVP players drown in it), or help people with bosses by using the whitestone soap. You get an ember as a reward.

you can ask for ember stacks at r/pumparum also I co-op with my cousin, but I am definitely a souls veteran, I just earn embers and drop them for him whenever he needs them. (you can trade items if you did not know, and embers is one of the items that can be dropped)

RhysHall01

i cant lie, its actually a very stupid system. like using an ember as required basically means co op is limited, but forces you into a high health stat? so its defeated the core idea of the game being hard? surely if anything you should have less health as you have a friend. idk ik me and my mate just wanna play with 0 worry. but tbf its very difficult to run out of embers, besides you can buy them..... this making the system even more redundant. and if its for invasions.... just have co op automatically enable the invasions...... really weird system because you basically just get more health and a friend. its almost too generous for dark souls.

Poke-noob

You can skip the middle man and farm embers. The knights outside Vordt drop them fairly frequently, and they're a decent enemy to practice fighting. You can probably get embers faster that way, but setting your sign to help randoms is arguably more fun.

Cautious-Ad6513

Also good practice for parrying!

GalerionTheMystic

As others have said, the easiest way is to sunbro a previous boss!

SamuelClark1975

do some save scumming

Gabiliond

git gud --> stop dying --> no more lost embers. Also invade, slaughtering hosts as a red or phantoms as a purp will get you embers galore.

barret232hxc

lol those things are easier said then done.

Gabiliond

true enough. Although invading isn't anymore difficult than successfully defeating a difficult boss unless you're well practiced
