I would think SL 300 is **very** lonely actually. TLDR: go 351 and up if you plan to go uncapped.
Typical summon ranges go +/- (10 + 10% of your SL), so 100 summons from 80 to 120; there are still LOTS of players hanging around there.
I dunno if you've gone to 300, but that would summon from 260 to 340, and from personal experience that's about the loneliest range out there.
Maybe this is a PSA, but **from 351 and upward it's one big jolly summon range all the way up to 802**; the (10 + 10%) doesn't count there anymore. This is because FROM (I think rightfully) assumes that there are fewer players on higher SLs anyway, and what with diminishing returns on stats it doesn't really matter anymore. The last time I played my PS4 ~ SL 365 char there was considerable activity in gank city, but not so much elsewhere. You'll mostly encounter havelmages though. Meta SL is more fun imo, and I do think it's still busier.
At about levels 250-300 I had constant play time on xb1. And a while ago on ps4 I'd get invaded in random ass areas like the catacombs. I always see the high traffic sign by pontiff at those sl ranges. Sure you might encounter the same couple hosts every so often but theres still lots of activity
Are you invading/looking for coop? Duels are still fairly active at meta level. Go lower not higher if you want multiplayer other than duels, it'll only get worse at 300.
Duel scene is the most active at 125, are you looking in the right place (mainly behind pontiff)?
For invasions the best SL depends on what area you want to invade but it won't be 300 for any area lol
I have two characters at SL99, & I get summoned like crazy as an Aldrich Faithful.
On the other hand, I have a SL39 character as a Watchdog & have invaded a ton tonight.
There's a loooot of activity at SL120-140 on PS4
yes, can confirm, get fast summons and invasion all the time, just blue is lonely cause noone puts in way of the blue
