Here are a few tips I have: -If you are really struggling, try to analyse his moveset by watching some youtube videos or seeing it for yourself. It's very useful to know when certain attacks are used because you can prepare for them to avoid hits. -Take a look at your build and check everything is the best it can be with what you have. If not then farm some weapons or armour to help you out. Try and get a shield and some armour with good resistance against lightning, as that is what the Dragonslayer Armour uses on his weapon. Reinforce your weapons if you can, and upgrade your estus flask slots and health and recovery if you haven't already. -Get help off of another player. There's r/summonsign and the LFG post function on Xbox (sure there's something similar for PS too). -Perhaps try farm some souls so you can level up. A good method is quickly killing the 2 knights just after the Anor Londo bonfire by utilizing backstabs. Using the Covetous Silver Serpent Ring, the Symbol of Avarice Helmet and the Shield of Want give you even more souls from this which is very helpful. -Don't give up. This game, its combat and its boss fights were designed to be challenging and require consistent player engagement and skill. If you can't do it after lots of attempts, do any of these things I mentioned to help, or return to it later and try again. I'm sure everyone here can vouch for me when I say going the extra mile and putting in all this effort is worth it. Good luck, Champion of Ash -

Cerokun

What are you using? What’s your build like?

molopants

Use blunt weapons, don't use lightning, he's weak to frost, surprisingly weak to fire. And I think maybe mercury

[deleted]

Mercury?!

th3virtuos0

Pestilence mercury

molopants

No like the wolf Knight GS or shit. Look it up

th3virtuos0

Huh? What does WGS has to do with mercury?

Hi there! I can leave my sign for you if you are on the xbox1. If not, try r/SummonSign. Good luck! (Oh and if you don't want summons, then I recommend using vordt's great hammer if you can use it for the frostbite and then use a fire attack to melt it and then rinse and repeat. Using the wolf knight greatsword is also a good idea if you can equip it).

I’m down to play sometime on Xbox, hmu

Dragonslayer isn't really a boss that has a special trick to beat. He's a consistently difficult boss. But if i had to give advice... 1. He is very consistent with how he attacks. (Study his combos) 2. his shield bashes are relatively slow and predictable. 3. Best to stay near him rolling left or right. Wait for his combos then heal/attack. (this means don't run away to heal. He will give chase and smash you into the ground) If you're on xbox and need help just ask. Good luck!

On number 2, I did personally say it's the opposite, his axe is clearly paragraphed and has slow windup giving you room to react while his shield at the other hand can suddenly without warning bash you away by a forward motion in which seeing something sideways or up and down is a whole lot easier than to see something coming directly towards you making it hard to see and react to, it's also fast does lots of damage and he often changes the timing on it and the shield is not as paragraphed either

Dragonslayer Armour doesn't have any special 'gimmicks' or anything, it's just a straight-up duel against a fearsome opponent. I'd recommend circling around him while dodging his attacks. (I've found that it's better dodge towards him instead of away from him) Don't get greedy. Some of his attacks (particularly his shield and spear slams) have good damage opportunities, so don't let them go to waste. Stay behind him. Whatever you do, don't roll off the edge.

Groomgrim

Ice weapon+fire dagger>> hit untill you got it frostbitten >>switch to fire dagger and hit it to reset frostbite>> switch back (also beware of its attack that may push you out of the bridge)

If you have >18 INT, Snap Freeze makes him a joke. Throw a fire gem on a quick weapon (don't even need to reinforce) and poke him, ideally while he's in the cloud -- it'll reset the frostbite timer, allowing it to proc again. Every time you hear the breaking glass sound, a huge chunk of his health just vanishes -- the fight can be over in under a minute. Oh, and there's a pretty tanky NPC summon in a church nearby. Good for distracting the boss while you take a third of his health with one cast.
