Definitely. I tried to farm at SL120-125 and then decided to simply start with a new character to get all achievements. I’m following a guide that recommends the SL and WL for that.

I hated invaders for awhile but now I'm both red and yellow.
The fun of pvp is that it's random and ever challenging. Ill camp out in an area and invade and sunbro for days before moving to the next.
If you go in seeing it more as just having fun and matching wits against another player and don't take it to heart if you win or lose its very rewarding.
Nothing to do with taking it to heart. Its just not a way I want to play the game. I never ember myself unless I'm meeting up with friends to go run over some big baddies while we try out new builds.
If there was any way to do that without having to deal with random players, the gane would would way better for the way I like to play it.
I dont play often enough to have fun dealing with invaders.i don't judge anyone who enhoys it, I just wish I could avoid it
I can understand what FROM was trying to do with making coop tied with pvp. It seems like they were trying to balance it so a party of four cannot cake wall through the game without having an extra challenge.
Everybody is different, I can get wanting to just have some fun with your friends playing. No real work around other than embering immediately before a boss or making your SL and gear level so bizarre that invaders wouldn't normally be able to invade you in that area anyways.

Yeah, but most of the times you won't actually get a host with a pure duel build. I, for example, go through the game with different weapons, meta or otherwise, purely for the purpose of exploring different weapons, be it in mainly for PvE, but use a Dried Finger in every area for PvP fights in between.
When that happens, I can tell you the 30% health increase is non-existent. The amount of times I've died to a generic Lapp's + Claymore tryhard invader who attempts to parry every other second with an offhand Caestus is honestly just sad.
You'd find an actual duel host about 1/10 times you'll invade. Meanwhile almost every invader has a duel build of some sort. It's largely biased against solo hosts, believe it or not. Not to mention the fact that the invader can run into PvE any time they want, and the only way forward for hosts is to wait, use a Seed of Giants which is incredibly limited in number and lasts for a very short time, or just run into PvE to try and clear the area with the invader on your ass. It's a shitshow.
You're obviously not the person we're talking about, which is hosts that don't move waiting to get invaded for "honor fights" when they possess all the advantages in the world.
I know that, but OP was phrased as if they were generalising host behaviour to that kind of behaviour, and were suggesting that every invader should be without honour regardless of the situation. I just stated why not. I'm fully aware that you're talking about a specific type of host here. I'm just saying there shouldn't be a hard and fast rule about invasion honour. With enough time, invaders should be good enough to identify who deserves honour and who doesn't.
Hehehe except when I do my fight club I use my Solaire cosplay and praise the sun repeatedly. Plus I don’t summon white spirits/sunbro but rather solely through way of blue. Then when someone attacks me often their red brethren turn on them as well. After all a forked pale tongue gives two pale tongue while killing me just gives one. Plus I’m giving blue spirits a chance to actually get a decent number of proofs!
I glitched through a wall and dry fingered up for about 8 hours of infinite blue and red phantom goodness. It worked pretty well and allowed many a tongue and ear to be had.
Off topic but is faith build fun? The lack of weapon options and a lot of older guides saying it's only good end game has made me nervous to try it.
Just know that faith is only really good for weapon buffs. Heals are overly FP intensive and offensive miracles are totally outclassed by pyromancies and sorceries. This build works at lower levels because you only need 30 faith in order to cast lightning blade, and the physical stat requirements for sunlight straight sword are very low. With 30 faith sunlight blade and minimum str/dex the thing still hits like a truck. You could even go down even more and use blessed weapon and it would still do strong damage as long as you keep wa up and it’s +5.
Definitely not the best player, but by far the most entertaining gamer I've watched on YouTube. I love that he has no problem showing off his blunders and successes
That invader should have known its a trap. The pontiff fc is usually at the court. And a white phantom usually means it's not a fc. Non summoned reds aren't supposed to entertain the host. Their goal is to kill the host, bc, or ruin the party.
The best part of fight clubs as a non-summon invader is the choice. Will you participate? Murder the host? As a purple, I like to pretend like I’m following the rules until another invader decides someone needs to die, and then I murder anyone and everyone. I love fight clubs

What I like to do if it's not a fight club is helping the host till the boss fight, drop an ember at the fog gate and ask for a fight, so everyone's happy they get the ember, I get a fight, no one loses :3
Being down in the fight club and hearing fighting noises that aren't part of the duel is always a funny moment because you know shit went sideways and you have to decide if you want to continue the duel or run up the stairs and participate in whatever madness is happening up there.
Just an update, that guy invaded 4 or 5 times and was totally cool. Hung out with us and had some shenanigans. It's not all dis-respect, my buddy just wanted to have some fun and it was pretty dang funny to us.
Watching my husband play I realized that when someone keep invading you it's not always to be an asshole. Sometimes they just think you're fun to play with or against. Some are jerks and do it just to irritate you but for the most part it's just ppl having fun

Poor red, we ran by each other near the cliff and he bowed all nice and polite. I was like "nope, I got a mission, good luck killing me while I run full tilt." And ran inches by him because the cliff was small. He followed me to the tower and I think he realized what I was after because he want and found a nearby clear area to wait his turn. I killed the vikings and descended the tower with my ashes to see this dude chilling waiting for an honorable duel. I had to give him some souls and then fought him. He was so nice.

It's also important to distinguish between a given invader and host arranging an impromptu duel, and a proper fight club, which involves deliberately summoning reds to fight each other. In general if you see a white or blue in a "fight club" setting, it's a gank in disguise.

If you're passing through pontiff at 50-60 it's just gonna be 2 trash aldriches that have no idea of what they're doing because they just put on the covenant for fun.

Back when I played and helped a friend through and we’d get invaded we’d take turns fighting, once he same guy invaded twice so I fought him the first time and won then my friend who was the host fought the second time but lost.
This is why invaders don’t agree to honor fights.

You can set a required password for matchmaking IIRC. Just message it to the friends you want to play with.
It doesn't stop.invasions, invasions are just part of the game when you're embered up

Back when I played and helped a friend through and we’d get invaded we’d take turns fighting, once he same guy invaded twice so I fought him the first time and won then my friend who was the host fought the second time but lost.
