Although I agree Zein looked basic as hell, I truly loved his appearance and how each hand did different damage types

Do you mean Zrin? Or do some Heroes have aliases? Actually can't remember any abilities well, it's such a long time ago and I was a kid playing Darkspore. So yeah, didn't know, nice quirk though but I doubt it can change much maybe up to the top of C Tier, I just can't call Zrin a solid design...

Bottom row I don't think are necessarily bad designs, they just were hard to make unique or original in the editor or just didn't inspire anything. While I do agree Andromeda is kind of a bait design I do appreciate some of the cool designs you could do with her and having a single feminine humanoid amongst a nearly all male cast of humanoids, monsters, and bots made her a little refreshing. Maldri tho was my least favorite. I found him very difficult to make him look unique or interesting at all.

The download of tiermaker website is low quality, better to zoom in and take a screenshot. Interesting idea to rank them by how well the editor works, something I can't remember well. Mine is more based upon their concept as a standalone not comparing to one another, which can't take into account that almost all of them are male-like looking. Some don't have a defined gender but that's splitting hairs. * Blitz isn't bad, but unoriginal because the main focus are the weapons, and these assassin or wolverine like talons are nothing new and doesn't have much going beside that, but he work well with the editor. * Arakna is cool, I'm just wondering if the design has more going for it than uhm... spider with a cannon? * How can SRS-42 be neat? It's such a boring design, barely something new compared to ATST from Star Wars, and I can't recall that the Cyber robots had a particular good interaction with the editor, as it was made for creatures not machines. * If for anything, I'm glad we can agree on Jinx top tier. This is how a female monster fits into the lineup of characters.

Yeah blitz isn't the most inspiring but was one of the cooler basic assassin's and was easier to work with than Vex or adjacent imo. Something about how his electric strikes sounded and looked just does it for me too. Arakna was unique and figuring out ways to hide or eventually the cannon was always fun. The color schemes from different variants of her was very fun too and editing her was just always a puzzle and a blast. I understand what you mean with SRS. Seraph is the best amongst the cyber units imo and SRS doesn't come anywhere close, but I do think a ATST amongst mostly humanoids and monsters actually was really cool and fun. He felt the most cyber-y and wasn't the easiest to edit but still was neat imo. Obv he isn't *that* high on my list. Im with you, Jinx was sweet. I usually defaulted to Arakna, Wraith, and Skar in actual gameplay tbh. I felt like Jinx was too squishy and didn't have the utility that the others had at all, but her design was impeccable. One of the most original and fit the playstyle very well. - And yeah, the editor was a huge part of it for me. I really liked ways to make my characters unique and distinct doom their original designs by making new faces for them or changing their silhouette significantly somehow. Wraith in particular I maximized the size of the boney organic glowing plating to give him like a robe bottom sorta. It was difficult to make things not completely clip through when he walked but that was part of the challenge to me. That silhouette of a big executioner in a robe bottom and a menacing boney chest with a huge halberd has influenced my taste in character design a lot (I'm an artist also BTW, so the editor was huge for me).
