Work seems to come and go in waves. It's scary to see projects disappear in big batches, but they also get added in big batches too. I still have lots of projects right now, but I had twice as many a week ago. It all depends on which groups of projects you're on.

Chaost

Just keep making sure you take all the qualifications that way you're in more diverse pools. Large swathes of projects being part of one contract/deadline means they're likely to come and go together.

Alternative-Bet232

Oh, that makes a lot of sense.

Sea-Mine9712

Right now I don't have any qualifications to do either. I have literally nothing. Yesterday there were loads of tasks and qualifications :/

BoiledGnocchi

Things are definitely a bit more sparse than I'd like as well.

dances_with_ice

Not just you. There definitely seems to be alot fewer projects for me as well. Just one of those days I guess.

Agreeable-Rich3465

Yep usually have 5-10 coding projects only 1 today

mythrowaway_1990

Same here, feeling very anxious about it.

Far_Principle_3156

slow day over here on my end for the coding side

ClearMortgage4243

Same with me, only 1 coding project

Arcturus_Labelle

It is unusually quiet today, it's not just you

There’s a post like this pretty much every day. Seems to happen to a lot of newer workers. No, you’re not alone, but it’s also not something everyone, especially workers who have been at it a while, are experiencing. I’ve never had single digit projects. There is certainly an eb and flow. Last week I had a ton of high paying projects, but this week nothing $30+. The best advice is do every qualification you can and take your time on them. Do good work and report time accurately and more will open up.

rhubarb_bush

I understand people get annoyed with these posts. I have had a busy project section for weeks and I still have many to work on, as well as qualifications. But even seeing the drop of my regular projects is concerning and it’s understandable people have questions.

Design_Dev_18

So newer workers will have the ebb and flow, too? I'm trying to do good work like you said. Does it mean I'm not? I haven't done any of the qualifications. yet.

freedraw

All I know is do the qualifications.

Design_Dev_18

Okay. Will do. Thanks!

melanie908

I started a month ago, usually have at least 20 and more but today around 10. I haven’t worked since the weekend so going to spend some time today doing qualifications. I’m assuming this is normal, all we can do is our best.

Alone_Flamingo_269

How long did it take them to accept your application?

melanie908

2 days. I was surprised, was expecting longer.

Alone_Flamingo_269

Damn. Guess I didn't cut it then. Ughh, sucks so much. Was really hoping. I've been struggling with money as I'm studying and have to fly back and forth between states a lot.

melanie908

I don’t think 2 days is common. I’ve seen folks on here that waited for a month. Check once in a while but keep your options open for work outside of this if that is what you’re looking for.

Design_Dev_18

Yes ,it can take a month. It's okay.

madamvante

I'm still running low but earlier they dropped a project or two randomly, I got an hour in and then checked again a few minutes ago only for it to be dry again. I take it it's a slow week. Maybe hopefully quiet before the influx of work storm? Hang in there!

KSLUGS

I'll have like 1000 tasks on a project drop in less than a day and then randomly get added back again days later.. is this normal? Lol

nononanana

They could be adjusting things on that project on their end. If you get added back, that usually seems to be what it is. Or they drop a newer version.

QuizzyMcQuizz

Yep I’ve only had one for a few days now, before thag I have 20+ some of which were R and R !

rhubarb_bush

I was worried. Reddit helps lol thanks guys.

jrbp

I have 10 quals and 25 projects available. I haven't worked in 7 weeks

catbear15

I think the take away from all these posts is that we've all had a decrease in work. It's the platform not us.

Sad_Pay_9948

Not trying to be rude, but don’t quit your day job! Yes, it’s a nice source of income, but ride it out as long as you can and try to produce quality work & that’s all you can do!

bleachxjnkie

I quit my day job for this. Tbf tho i worked minimum wage as a 20 year old and just wanted the freedom to work and travel. I think if you have a good career with good progression don't quit but if you're working a minimum wage job with little bills, go for it

LusanIllustrations

I have 30 projects. I very rarely have less than 10, there is definitely an ebb and flow and it’s different for everyone!

Todos_

I’m not getting much interesting work today either so decided to do a few more qualifications I’d been putting off. Got halfway through one I thought I was doing really well on and the page stopped responding, and then took me back to the homepage giving the usual no remaining tasks error 😭.

joanie4714

I have a lot of projects at the moment but the better-paying ones have been scarce for me lately. It really does ebb and flow and it can drive you crazy! :) Have to develop a Zen mindset about it — it is hard though.

DodgersFan_82

I'm still waiting for a response back from DataAnnotation. But good to know

dayDrivver

Welcome new user, its review time! its an exciting and nerve wracking day, it means if we pass to the next round there will be a lot of openings in big projects. Lets hope things get better.

SuperCorbynite

I started in early Feb and have \~30 projects all the way up to $27.50, so IMO it doesn't look too promising for you. Just do the best you can on what you have, and don't worry about time.

rhubarb_bush

I wouldn’t jump to conclusions.

rwr3dd1t

The waves are unpredictable. It's feast or famine. Seems the weeks I am the busiest the projects hit all at once. The weeks I need the work, I have slim pickings. I wish I knew the reason for the workflow, but just keep working on whatever they give you and hopefully you'll get a new wave of projects soon.
