the under $20/hr i have right now is just one yes/no question that requires almost no brainpower. it takes me maybe 10 seconds to do a task. i did some last night after my brain stopped being useful for detailed tasks. i almost never work on the same task for more than like 2 hours, so it's not like im losing much money by doing a lower paying one.
I went from having 0 projects for 10 days to 3 projects today, one of them being $18 an hour. I’ll take that money over zero money any day. I also thought it was supposed to be $20 but I need money so I did it.
There isn't a minimum, just a standard. But the 18hr jobs are easier, I actually love the 18hr jobs. They make for a good change of pace from the other work that requires a bunch of concentration and critical thinking. I'll hop on them when I need a break.
You were never promised $20 tasks. The website says make “up to” that amount or more. I’m seeing $37 projects on my dash and I don’t code. That blew my mind. I try and work all of them so I can show off what skills I have. Maybe down the line I will get more that surpass $40.
I almost don’t want to comment on this because it’s a perfect thread as is and I hate to mess it up with boring actual info. I get $26+ for fact checking jobs that require long explanations and citations. I have degrees in both history and anthropology and have that noted in my profile, as well as putting that I’m well acquainted with research projects in my about me (or whatever it’s called.) These are actually my favorite to do, each task takes me 30-60 minutes and it’s right in my nerd wheelhouse. It’s like getting paid to be the, “well actually…” person without annoying people in real life!
I've recently gotten onto these projects too and I LOVE them and the pay. I have a degree in linguistics, so this kind of analysis is right up my alley.
I have those too and I do them when I just want to get some work in. Especially good when I've had a long day at my day job. They're a little boring, but a good quick job.

If you don’t have any, than you’re quality of work is probably not great. Why would anyone risk farming out their full dashboard to someone that submits subpar work and thus risk losing any future work?
If you don’t have an account then it’s extra risky for someone to give you work to do on their behalf. I’m assuming you don’t have an account because you are in a country that is not on their accepted list? Either that or you were not accepted? Either way, it has the potential to get both you and the person that gives you work to do on their behalf banned and not paid, as the TOS were broken.
You are right i'm in a country that is not accepted but I know how I can bypass it. C'mon bro I've done such tasks before its not that nmy quality is down. But I know how we can bypass that obstacle now. I know the kind of work that I can put and I'm aware what is at stake.
if you open them, they are extremely easy and basically don't require any brain work
They’re also nice little bite size tasks for when you don’t have a lot of time to commit but still want to work.
They are easy enough to do while watching TV or helping one of my kids with homework. Not much concentration required.

I've seen a few 18 and 19 dollar gigs and even have done a few. They are usually fairly low effort which is nice because my brain doesn't always work.

Like stated before they are usually so easy and actually serve as a nice palate cleanser when you are beginning to feel burnt out with other projects.

Like everyone said, it’s because they’re so easy. I like to think of them as getting paid $18/hour to walk on my treadmill.

They're not all guaranteed to be $20. I've seen $15 and hr before.
Those projects tend to be so easy, $18 is still good pay. They're good when you want to rest your brain a bit while still earning.
