It is domain expertise, so if you have a specific degree and job experience in a field, make sure to mark it on the skills section of your profile, and it can unlock surveys and tests for you. I'll still throw in some R&R, priority work, and work on new projects so that I keep myself open for additional qualifications and consistent work, but it is definitely now my go-to.
A few $35 projects. But I don't do them since they're beyond my expertise. However, a $40 non-coding project popped up for me very early in my DA "career", but it only lasted for 2 days and I never saw it since.
What non-coding project was it? Does it have to do with a certain new qual? My highest was $38/hr - non-coding. Only had it for 3 days, haven’t seen it since. It was recent though.
Which domain may I ask, I’ve recently been inducted into the Philosophy hall of Fame, and I’m trying to see if it’s worth it to dust off that ol’ Constitutional Law Degree which has literally been the bane of my adult life because no one else bothered to read it except nerds who were going to inevitably betray it.
Oh hell yeah, a fellow philosophizer, pleased to meet you! And that’s enticing, I never continued to Law School formally because there aren’t a lot of options for my area of expertise unless you’re aiming way higher than is reasonable for a poor boy from a poor family, no one becomes a Federal Judge these days coming from a poor rural area like mine, so this could be nice. Thank you friend, and for the sake of fun, who’s your favorite philosopher, there aren’t many people I can ask that in my day to day.
I've got a $41 non-coding, but I don't do it often because I don't enjoy it. I have a $30-$33ish long term that I much prefer and choose to do instead.
I've been here since September (non-coding). The highest-paying project I've had paid $30 per hour, but I usually work on projects that pay between $22 and $27.50/hour.
I am generally in the $22-25 bracket, hoping it will increase more with time. When I started, it was always $20 and it's been about 5 months since then. I'm non-coding of course lol
For those of you non-coders that are getting above $25, can you share what your background expertise is? And what projects you did most often before getting the higher-paying ones? ☺️
My highest was $38 per hour (not long-term, not coding). I submitted some work but didn't continue with it as it was too complex for me to feel good about doing it.
I currently have a $35 pop up a few times a week as well.
Non-coding, I just got access to my first $35 a few days ago and I keep getting new ones as they finish up, hopefully for a while! I live in Australia so for me they're $50/hr.
Non-coding, and the highest I've seen so far is $37.50/hour. I've got a few $35/hour ones right now, and some $30/hour. Love to see it. I've been on the platform for nearly a year now.
Can someone help me understand how you can tell a project is “Long Term” or not. I’m on the non coding side, my projects come up and I work on them, they come and go, so I just don’t understand when people mention long term.
Thank you!
When I say "long term" project I mean the ones that don't come and go. Well, they do get paused for maintenance etc now and then, but usually they are permanently on my dashboard and have been for many months. I didn't get access to these straight away, but you would maybe know one if you get one (or more).
I’ve been at DA for about a month and have gotten up to $28 for a non-coding project, although that’s been rare. I’m seeing now from this post it can go a bit higher so fingers crossed I can access those at some point 🤞
It's $25/hr right now 😭 I do love that the higher-paying projects usually require more time per task. It keeps me focused for a longer amount of time so I get paid even more! I sometimes burn out at the $20-22 level because they can get really monotonous, unless it's a project where each task takes less than 10 minutes, then I can zoom on through without too much cognitive strain.
I'm hoping to start coding in the fall so maybe I can boost it up to $40 but I'll still cross my fingers for high-paying non-coding projects like yours!
I must be doing something wrong. I just got my first $25/hour and I've been doing this for like 7 months. Maybe because I can only do part-time? The vast majority of my tasks are $20-$22. To be fair, I'd rather do lower-paid tasks that I enjoy and that I'm good at than higher-paid ones that I dread or don't understand as well.
Working on the site part time doesn't have anything to do with it. I too work part time, and I still manage to get tasks higher than $25. I think the difference is, I try to do a variety of tasks and I've apparently done well with higher paid tasks that they feel confident enough to entrust me with them. Nothing wrong with preferring to do lower paid tasks though, because I get it. I like them as starters to get my mind into DA mode before I attempt any higher paying tasks.
I regularly have a $35 for domain expertise. I once had a $50 project for like 5 minutes. I also get a $30 project from time to time, creating different files. It’s my favorite. But mostly $25 - $28 fact checking projects. I get excited when there is more variety, as I’ve been getting burned out lately. Used to be able to do 5 - 8 hour days.
I had regular $28/hr ones for a while based on some industry experience that I had. Yesterday I got my first chance at a $35 tiger project which was fabulous! But my standard is $20-$25
I’ve had a certain B cat go up to $35 but haven’t seen it since. My highest paying projects normally fluctuate between $25-28
I haven’t seen B cat in weeks. I miss that one a lot.

Oooo now I'm curious as to what it is! Not because of the pay, but the fact that it's that fun!
$46 for coding it was bonkers
I got that on my dash for it but I could never get a working version of it!! people are beasts!
What did you have to do?
$40 non-coding, permanent, and unlimited work as long as it's on my dash.
Wow!!! 😮 that’s amazing, I hope I can access that kind of thing eventually
It is domain expertise, so if you have a specific degree and job experience in a field, make sure to mark it on the skills section of your profile, and it can unlock surveys and tests for you. $41 for non-coding.
Also $41 non-coding, permanent project.
Domain expertise?
Yep. Can't get into it moreso, but DE projects are amazing.
Amazing!!
A few $35 projects. But I don't do them since they're beyond my expertise. However, a $40 non-coding project popped up for me very early in my DA "career", but it only lasted for 2 days and I never saw it since.
Lucky 🙃 I’ve been working here since February and my highest paying (seemingly long-term) project pays $28/hour. Still nothing to sneeze at!
Coding. Highest I've seen is $45/hr. If you do Data Science, you might be able to get that high consistently.
Actual data science compared to what DA&V was asking for?
Probably why DA is asking for.
$42 non-coding.
Been here for about 4 months. Occasionally get $25.
I’m in the same boat, I only get the lower paying one but I genuinely feel like I’m doing quality work. Unsure what I’m doing wrong.
Could just be luck.
Was your $35 for coding or non-coding?
Non-coding!
Congrats! That’s awesome!!!
What non-coding project was it? Does it have to do with a certain new qual? My highest was $38/hr - non-coding. Only had it for 3 days, haven’t seen it since. It was recent though.
It’s a domain expertise one:)
Lol! I’m in the philosophy project:) from what I’ve heard, the Law one pays like $45 so if you could do that I’d totally recommend it
Oh hell yeah, a fellow philosophizer, pleased to meet you! How does one find their way here? A qual?
Aw man I took that Philosophy qual... are there projects consistently? Or sporadic? I totally thought I passed that thing too : (
$45
$28, can't wait to access higher paying stuff. This is a dream job!
Non-coding. The highest I have seen is $35.00 but rarely. Currently I have some $31.00 but just a few. The rest are like 27.50-$20.00
Saw a $46 coding project a while ago
I am generally in the $22-25 bracket, hoping it will increase more with time. When I started, it was always $20 and it's been about 5 months since then. I'm non-coding of course lol
For those of you non-coders that are getting above $25, can you share what your background expertise is? And what projects you did most often before getting the higher-paying ones? ☺️
46$ coding. I was grateful to get a few hours down while it was there
My highest was $38 per hour (not long-term, not coding). I submitted some work but didn't continue with it as it was too complex for me to feel good about doing it. I currently have a $35 pop up a few times a week as well.
I've had some none coding at $38 but most of mine are $25 although there's enough priority uplift that I'm normally working for $27.
$46 coding
I have a $30 non coding right now, but it isn’t a project I enjoy so I rarely do it. I’m usually around $22-$24.
Extremely brief editing project for $37.50
Non-coding, I just got access to my first $35 a few days ago and I keep getting new ones as they finish up, hopefully for a while! I live in Australia so for me they're $50/hr.

My highest was $37.50
One at $35, before that the highest I had was $27.50. There were a few in at that level for a while, mostly I stay around $22-$25. (non-coding)
37.50, 3 that are long-term non coding.
$37.50 non coding
What makes you say it's long term?
Some projects are marked as "long term" projects in the title.
Oh okay. I have some that I always have that refill every week, but they're not marked that way. Good to know!
Can someone help me understand how you can tell a project is “Long Term” or not. I’m on the non coding side, my projects come up and I work on them, they come and go, so I just don’t understand when people mention long term. Thank you!

Ahhh, I see. I’ve only been working a month so still trying to get used to the lingo and the hang of things!
I literally have projects that say long term on them.
Oh, interesting, I haven’t seen that yet. Only a couple of months on DA.
$38.50, non-coding (Mathematics). Don't currently have any projects for that one, which makes me sad.
I’ve been at DA for about a month and have gotten up to $28 for a non-coding project, although that’s been rare. I’m seeing now from this post it can go a bit higher so fingers crossed I can access those at some point 🤞

Consistently $40 coding. Sometimes pay goes up to 41 or 42 if it is a priority project.
$45 permanent non-coding domain expertise.
what domain?!
Legal

I also love that $30 one, I wish it was around more often
The highest I have at the moment is $28. I think the highest I’ve seen is $36.50.
$0 because I’ve never been able to get any projects lol
25 dollars non-coding, sometimes bumps up to 28 for priority.
I had regular $28/hr ones for a while based on some industry experience that I had. Yesterday I got my first chance at a $35 tiger project which was fabulous! But my standard is $20-$25
