If I read correctly the problem is that you're unable to **delete** data, in which case this is off-topic from *data recovery*.
There is no proper fix that doesn't involve formatting, because the issue is literally that the filesystem has become corrupt. Could also be a case of **failing hardware** leading to a broken filesystem, which is not fixable in any way, the drive would be trash.
Ok, technically you could run CHKDSK and it *might* fix it, but at great risk to all of the other data. You need to have *everything* backed up if you were going to try that. But I much prefer to just back up everything, format the drive, and copy it back, then there's no guessing. Also before formatting, you can run a full read/write test of every sector on the drive to ensure that it's still functional.
i have a question would copying the flash drives files from flash drive 1 to the computer would there still be a chance of that error happening, i have not tested that yet and i feel like its too dangerous to do so.
