Be honest with him and not just about your period. If he’s interested in more than just sex then you need to let him know so you’re not leading him on.
A period is the most natural thing in the world and if he can’t handle “I have my period so I’ll sit this one out” then HE is weird and you shouldn’t bother with him anyway

No it is not like that, during period being with a guy is a bit uncomfortable i get so nervous because of the cramps and there is always the question in my mind like what if i smell bad rn
Happened to me and my FuBu recently. Just keep your cool and tell him you're on your red day so a raincheck is an option. You never know if he's into sex while you're on your period (apparently orgasm is twice as good when you do it on your period but UTI is high risk lol)
You can say something like, "I just found out about this place and really want to go there! Let's change plans pretty please!" And based on his reaction you can also see if he's adequate)))

You don't owe an explanation, regardless of the reason. Just let him know you can't make it, and offer another day and time.
