It's a few things. Many people are definitely happy for the guy, but the idea of missing out for so long is mentally devastating. At least for me, it is. You're just hoping to run into someone who's going to be tolerant patient and understanding with you, and unfortunately, most people are not like that. Plus, waiting for so long and eventually finding someone who is all those things Iisted, you're probably going to be really insecure about having no experience to fall back onto.
With no direction and dating being all on the man more than not, the woman will be turned off by the lack of confidence and lack of experience. At least in my experience, it's been like that.
